I would not answer the call because the caller id said 1001. It was about 6pm on Jan 22nd when they called. They called my company phone, although I have only had this phone number for two weeks now. Something just does not seem right about that number.

WTF!!! I received a couple of these call (from # +1 001) The 1st time I herd nothing and just hung up.  The 2nd time after a brief silence, a crazy song started playing with an upbeat tempo. After about 30 seconds I hung-up and googled it, which brought me here.  Thanks for nothing because seems to be a complaint blog with no answers provided.  Thanks for nothing!

I just got called not one minute ago from 1001. I'm in WA, USA. There was a stuttering Indian woman on the line offering some kind of huge discount on something. I hung up immediately...I hope I don't get charged. By the way, I have Verizon and also have not had my number for longer than 2 weeks.

He has been sending my sister blank texts, whenever i try to call this number it says that it doesn't exist.
Somebody's planning this for some reason...
My question is: Do you have anything in common? Anything that would link you all together?
Some of us should try to use thi blog to find things out about the others lives.
    This isn't just a prank.
It's happening all over the world, we need to find out who he is.
Have any of you tried to speak to him before?
If he calls again ask him why he chose you.

Have you ever heard of the company 'M-Qube' before?

I just received a missed call from a number similar to this, but with a additional number '1' in front. I don't return call if the number seemed suspicious to me. What could this number be? I am living in Singapore. There is a '+' in front of the number so it must be from overseas.

I think this is a phishing scam.  I received the call 3 times between 2:30 and 2:40 am on my cell.  I sent the third call straight to voicemail and it left a message for me to hit 1 to be connected to the Morgan Chase security department because my card may have been compimised, but I have no Morgan Chase card.  After calling the cs line to Chase they confirmed I have no cards or accounts with them.

i received a call on my cell around 3:45am from 1001 phone number.  I let it go to voicemail and it said my chase card had been canceled due to security fraud.

just got off the phone with chase and my accounts are perfectly fine.

I have got this same call with a recording warning of my Morgan Chase card being compromised and to hold on the line for the next available operator. I do not nor never have had a Morgan Chase Credit Card.

Our local paper reported this as a phising scam. The idea is to get your 16 digit ATM card number then make an unauthorized withdrawl.    The calls are most likely from out of the country.    The article suggest contact Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-IDTHEFT for tips and information.
