since 2 days i getcall from a number :-
"+1001"

I got a call from +1001. Pls let me know who

yesterday on 22nd Sep'13 we receive call from +1001, we picked the phone but nobody answred & call is disconnected.

I do not understand for the life of me why I get these calls. I pick up (when it isn't like, 1 am or something) and there is no one responding. I am even on the Do Not Call register. wtf already?

I received a call from the 1001 number.  They were informing me my debit card was suspended and asked me to push 1 for a rep.  I hung up.  My debit card is fine...this is a scam.

I just got the same call from "001" saying my debit card had been suspended and to press "1" to correct this.  I stupidly pressed "1" and then hung up thinking it's a scam and this is the first site I've come across with any similar encounters.  Has anyone gone through this or know of any more information regarding what this potentially is?  I'm sure it's a scam but I don't want to be freaking out about my bank account information.

what the hell is this [***] 1001 caller ID? I received already many times calls from this id even late in night. If I answer there is no response. There is nothing to hear.

I have had the number 1001 show up on my caller ID several times, along with other similar numbers. They are mostly business' that do not want their number to show up on your called id. They do not block their number since some people block private numbers all together. Most of the time they are either trying to collect money or sell you something (nothing good usually)

I just had the 1001 call me saying my MasterCard has been suspended and then it sent me to another number {unknown} and i expected to hear my banks name or something when i got there but when it rite off the bat asked for my account number i hung up... felt wrong and fishy to me. id rather call my bank in the morning and figure it out from there than risk it :/

Noticed my mom's phone buzzing this morning and didn't answer because it said 1001. If this is not a scam then who and why would you make your number unrecognizable and/or the same number being reported as a debit card fraud scam? I was a debit card fraud case processor for about a year and it takes more than a name or phone number to commit fraud, I had to say this because I'm sick of hearing people say "Oh well they have my name and address so now they are going to steal all my money!" Boo hooo ya right, quit putting personal stuff out on the internet and you will stop getting calls/fraud attempts on your account! thanks and goodluck.

I received the call immediately after registering for text alerts on my AMX prepaid CC from 1001. Guessing it has something to do with that. Alerts of some kind. I didnt answer and I personally wouldnt in the even of any future calls because its very possibly a scam.

I just got a call from 1001 that said "This is a message from Gate City Bank. Your Mastercard has been suspended and to reactivate it stay on the line." I don't have a MasterCard and I don't bank with Gate City Bank.

I too have received two calls from them today, telling me that my master card from gate city has been suspended.  I laughed since i don't' have one....

This number called both my husband's cell phone and my cell phone today. Neither of us answered and we both got the same voicemail - "Your MasterCard had been deactivated. Please press '1' to connect with a customer service representative." We don't have a MasterCard. I'd say it's a phishing scam.

Got call 1001 is an automated machine stating it was my bank stating my accounts have been compromised and to please input your account information and than it disconnects.  Could be little different from area to area and stating different companies.  Good luck dont' ever give out account info to crap like this.
