This is EBay collections, they leave no message

I have no idea why they are calling me.  I dont even own an ebay account and never done business on ebay before either.

I did start a brand new business up last month, and since I did, I have been getting spam calls from all over the place with bogus collections trying to tell me I owe them money.  Between AT & T calling telling me I owe them, when I dont even have them as a carrier, and ebay, when I have no accounts with them, it is getting annoying.  I made sure to call each place to make sure I had no accounts with them, and both confirmed I have no debt that the companies directly know of.

So these people have to be a scam.

Its a collection agency for EBAY. They called me 5 times a day but would never leave a message. Finally, I answered .. I owe $26 -.-  I told them that at that moment I did not have the $26 and she jumped on my asking "well is this your cellphone ?" I said yes. She then says "well if you can afford your cellphone bill why can't you pay $36. Then continued with, theres no one in your residence that would let you use their debit card today for this payment. I finally told her, she'd get it when I have it to give. They've continued to call 4-6 times a day, sometimes even at 9 pm.

Not sure if you're aware but ebay owns paypal. So if you owe money to one -- you owe money to both... So either one of them can go after ya. But you probably know that by now. ;)

Ebay is hounding me for $88 -- yea that's right, that much! I would have paid it too but when I spoke to ebay I wanted to work out a payment plan (I offered to pay $20 a month until the debt was settled I had 100% positive feedback so I had a good track record with them) -- basically for 3 months straight NOTHING sold, not that anything I had on there was super expensive but it's what I had to sell... So every month I was in the hole about $30... Being out of work I really can't pay $88 all at once, a sad day I know... Never thought I would live the day where I would hear myself say that. But it's true... You'd think ebay would clue in that the reason so many people are defaulting on payments to them is that they are broke too cause the economy is really, really bad...

But ebay wanted nothing to do with a payment plan.. Funny thing is if they would have said yes, it would be paid by now. I still don't have $88 to give them all at once and the way things are going that's not likely to change soon... They are stone stupid!

So now these clowns outside the US are up to hounding every ill-gotten penny out of us for ebay/paypal.

My solution is, I am happy to talk to them... Then for the next 1/2 hour I rant about all my bills, how I look for work and how I can't find any, the state of the economy, politics, elections, the local problems in California (where I live), etc -- basically anything that pisses me off... It's easier than you think once you get going it all just flows... One big waterfall of info then when I am done I hang up. In the beginning they try to talk over you but then they eventually give up and just listen in silence... They don't call back that day again... Ha ha ha You should try it. You feel better afterward ;)

DO NOT! give any of your information to this number they claim to be a collection agency in association with ebay/paypal my husband and i called both ebay and paypal they gave us a list of the people they do use, theses people are not on it. my husband then called them (this number) back and they got very nervous on the phone and refused to give us the name of their company and any information about them its a SCAM!

This is Ebay collections - After Pay Pal let some MasterCard holder issue a charge back 9 moths after the fact these fee's were not paid - So Let Paypal get my money back and pay the fee's - They ripped themselves perhaps Ebay collections can call Paypal and get heir money.

That could work.. post some ads online GAY ads, because they will call.  Lots of [***] guys.

IC Systems also handles medical bills , so if you owe any type of medical bill.... then that's another reason they are calling.  Never give out your info over the phone , and don't verify info even if they repeat it to you , just ask for a copy of the bill.

i got rid of them pretty easy. called them back at this number. some guy picked up. i gave them a fake name and a fake address. they took me off their call list. has been quiet so far. also, play dumb like you don't know who is calling.

i don't know why i'm on their call list anyway. i don't own anyone any money. not ebay, not paypal, my doctors and dentists are close personal friends of mine and i pay them right away. so i don't know what they can possible want from me.

They called my secondary phone line (listed under MY name) repeatedly, leaving no message. They finally left a five-second message of "Hello? Hello? Is anyone there?" in an Indian accent. Then we got something in the mail saying my husband owed $30 to eBay (plus $0.42 late fee) -- mailed to my husband's brother's house. My husband has *never* had an account on eBay (I have but his name was not on it). My account is fine (otherwise they send me email and I've gotten nothing from them). They had the wrong phone number and wrong address. So now what do I do? We don't owe any money. It really sounds like a scam, but others are saying they are a debt collection agency.
