Caller's ID says it's from a cell phone. Tried to call me several times but when I called back a recording says number is no longer in service. Annoying when this person keeps calling!

Just got a call, and I've heard from them 4-5 times in the past as well. I've reported the number to the Do Not Call registry.

Automated call in about lowering the intrest rate on your credit card. "This is your last opportunity" the woman says. Press 1, so I press 1. Nigerian man comes on, won't identify which card. He asked total of my CC debt. I said "well you should know"  Which card company are you from I asked.  End of call.....

Is there any way to make their phone blow up?  Oh I don't mean to injure anyone, just eliminate their equipment.  I'm glad I live in a free country. At least it is for now. But this stuff goes with the territory.

Called twice and hung up without answering. If they are those people calling on my cell, my daughters cell and everywhere else I wish they remained on the line would have given them a peice of my mind

Caller ID phone number, no message.  Who is this?  We are also on the do not call registry but it doesn't do any good.  The phone number is probably "spoofed".

About a credit card interest rate... first time calling...

Just got this call about a half hour ago. Shows up in caller ID as "out of area". Didn't answer the phone but my answering machine took the prerecorded message. I promptly reported them to the DoNotCall registry. Unfortunately this is the third call I've gotten from these [***] in as many months. The other two times I actually spoke to a person - who hung up on me as soon as I started asking questions about the company.

We need a fund that people can donate to. Everyone chips in a few bucks, then there's an internet election to put a bounty on the heads of these shady companies. First person to put a bullet in the owner's or CEO's head gets the bounty.

Caller ID said 'Washington DC call'.  Phone rang twice, then stopped.

Have received this message several times, I recognized the number abd did not answer

She said she was "Heather" and was calling to lower my credit card APR to 6.99.  To talk to a person press one; 2 to be taken off their list.  I just hung up.

got a call from this number at 3:05pm did not answer but when called back a recording about reaching the subscriber in error was announced. When will crap like this end for us.

They left a v/m saying "this is about your credit card, don't worry, everything is okay, we just want to lower your interest rate to 6.99!!"

Received a call from this number about an hour ago.  The voice said pretty much what the rest of you said -- "This is a call from your bank.  No bank mentioned.  We're calling about your credit card -- no card mentioned.  Wanted me to push 1, I think, to be connected.  I hung up.  Surely this is  a scam I have read about in the papers.

I receive about one of these calls a week and they always end up hanging up on me even if I play along trying to get company information. As soon as they think that their scam will not work they hang up. This always leaves me pissed so I have since been attacking their character as soon as they come to the phone.

What really pisses them off is if I ask, "Is your family proud of you? - I bet you have always been an embarrassment to them?" If you make them mad enough they will stay on the phone long enough to yell, Yes they are....which sometimes gives me the opportunity to ask, "what do you tell people you do for a living? - I bet you lie? Click they are gone.

No debt collection service is legitimate.  These bottom-feeders buy old, discharged debt and harass unsuspecting victims into paying debt they are not legally required to pay.  They are scumbags, and many are attorneys, too.
Since no one at this number has any debt, the phone call merits the definition, scam.

They called here today: hung up when I picked up, which indicates illegal, auto-dialer. Caller ID: out of area.  The number is listed in the Do Not Call Registry: another crime they commit.

Got call from this Number and was a credit card CO. saying my credit card limit could be lowered if i wanted that to press 1 if i did not want to recieve any more calls press 2 i pressed 2 and the caller ID was Washingtom DC No Name just WAshington DC do you HEAR ME  WASHINGTON DC

Called, phone rings, then hangs up.  On re-dial back to the number, a message says "the subscriber you have called is not in service"--message left on answering service of my phone says "it is necessary to contact you, this is your last message"- I am on the do not call list for home and cell phone-yet they continue to call- will report them.
