I got this call but at least Diane Yentel's name is off the caller ID.  I hope that means law enforcement is on their trail.  Same thing everyone else reported -- "Lower your rate to 6.9%".  Another pathetic scam.

SOME HERE< I HATE THESE CALLS, now I piss them off and use my fax set up and press a buttone when they call and they get a loud beeeeep .
It's a debt consolidation company called Account Services.  While it appears to be a scam, it is a legitimate business.  That doesn't mean all their practices are legal!  They call me several times a week.  Any time I ask to speak to a supervisor to have my name removed from their list, they hang up on me.  They are currently under a VERY public investigation by the federal government for both their solicitation pracices and their lending practices.  PLEASE REPORT THEM!  EVERY COMPLAINT HELPS!

I got a call with this scam a couple hours after posting a car I had for sale on Craigs List.

If enough people report them to the DO NOT CALL Registry, maybe some action will be taken.  Simply noting here is not a formal complaint.  These guys are jerks.

Just received a call from this number. Just the number showed on my caller ID.  I answered it - and it was a "press 1" to lower the interest rate on my credit card.  I did so, asked what card, and was told AMEX, VISA, MasterCArd, Discover, etc.  Told the male (accented voice) I was not interested.  Did a call back on the number, and a recording says that the number is disconnected.  A scam for sure.

8/7 came home and on caller ID had the name Diane Yentel with 202-459-7122, I tried calling it back and got a recording the subscriber you are trying to call is not in service?!?!?!?!

Definitely a war dialer (entity who calls a list of phone numbers one at a time until they hook an unsuspecting mark) "Hello, this is Heather and we're calling about your credit card account..."

I got the call from 202-459-7122 some lady with a Spanish accent.
She wanted to lower my rates to 6.9% on my master card or visa.  So I said what bank is she calling from, she said all of them.
I asked more questions and she hung up.

Same problem as everyone else..  Also asked to have name removed and was called again after that.  reporting to DNC

Saw this number pop up on my caller ID.  Didn't leave a message.  

When I googled the number - saw this thread.  Why do these scammers waste our time -- don't they realize folks are up to their game?!

Got a call with the same credit card script . . I tried to speak to an operator - but could not get any response. So, I hung up and called the number back - and got a "This number is disconnected" recording.

Well isn't this bizarre!  I got a call from this # with a T-Mobile ID.  Called back and recording said not in service.  I'm on the "Do not call list".  These robo calls are illegal which is why they are untraceable.  

I did once get someone from a credit scam company say that what they were doing was not illegal because there was a different company doing the robo calls that they hired.

You can file a complaint with the FCC as someone said earlier at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm.  Don't be discouraged.  The more complaints, the more likely something will happen!!

Email your Congressmen supporting the Consumer Protection Agency Obama is forming.   We must protect our own interests.

yeah they called us and hung up. Boss was afraid it was someone else so I did reverse phone look-up which was no good and then found this.  These 202 ppl need to get a life.

I received a call from this number a few minutes ago and my answering machine picked up a little late. The said 'we are calling about your credit card - don't worry there is nothing wrong with the account'. then they hung up. They call all the time and it is very annoying.  Since I only have one card, that I pay off every month, I didn't want to listen to her anyway. It was a recording.

Received a call from this 202-459-7122 at 9:57 EDT today.  The caller ID was listed as "out of Area. Record message to lower my CC interest rate.  I pushed one and a person ask me if I wanted to lower my rate.  I ask him which card and he said Visa/Mastercard.  I ask the issuing bank and he said Chase.  I told him I did not have a Chase Card.  Then he said Bank of America and i told him I did not have a Bank of America and then he hung up. I called the number back and a recorded message that the subscriber I dialed was not in service.

Rec'd a call from 202-459-7122.  I do a lot of business with clients in the DC area and so tho't it was one of them. Nope -- a credit call come-on telling me it was URGENT that I call re: my credit cards. I'm on the DNC list - this is a violation.

These people call me at least once a month.  Same thing as others. When I have pressed 1 to speak to a live person as soon as I ask where they are located or to take me off their list, they hang up.  They used to call from a 305 area code.  Now they are using 202. They are calling my cell phone, which used to be a landline number.  I am on the do not call list, but they call anyway.  I have called Verizon wireless and they do have a service on their website for blocking calls. It lasts for 90 days.  Other than that, someone please post who to report these people to, if you know.  They are obviously forwarding calls through another number, When I've tried to call back the 202 number that shows up, I get a recording saying the subscriber you have dialed is not in service.  This smells of a scam.  I don't think it's a legitmate company at all even though someone posted that earlier.
