I am on the do not call list. I received a voicemail message from 202-459-7122. When I called the number to tell them to take me off their call list -  it was not available. #1 Why does this caller get through a do not call block? 2) To whom do I report this number? Thank you.

Oct. 1 2009  and they are still working that number it says unknow caller now with the same number and same last chance to lower my payments.

Just received a call from this (202)459-7122 wanting to lower an interest rate.  
I am also on a "do not call".  Call came in at 11:45 a. m.  October 1,2009.

I've been receiving numerous calls from caller ID “Cell Phone DC 202-459-7122”- but they did not leave a message.  The phone rings, the answering machine answers and then whoever the caller is, hangs up.  I have absolutely no idea who this company is or what they are calling about but will be reporting them.  I want their calls to stop!  I don’t want to buy anything, answer any surveys, etc.  I pay for my telephone service, not them, and believe that "spamming", "phising" or whatever else they are doing is illegal.  Reading complaints on the 800notes website, phoneowner.info, callercomplants.com, callferret,com and the whocallsus.com, these people appear to be calling to give you a credit card or something like that.  I am on the "do not call list!"

Just got a call from this number.. It was a recorded message to lower my credit cards rates ( I dont) have one) Recorded calls are illeagal now,and I did report then to Do Not call

I have been getting these calls also and I am going to put in a complaint with the FCC.  I did it on another similar issue and it stopped.

Recorded message said there was only a limited chance to lower my credit card interest rate and to press 1...as this was picked up by my answering machine, am assuming the first part with possibly a name was not included - only picked up the latter part.  While the recording was still playing, I picked up the phone and said "Drop dead" and hung up.  I called back later and got a man's voice saying the number was not in service and if I felt it was a legitimate call, to call back later.  I had gotten this call before, which is why I responded as I did this time (I'm really a nice person...LOL).  These people are a pain where one sits.

Yes this is a scam.  The caller said he works for both Visa and MasterCard in a joint operating venture.  What a load of crap!  Don't let these criminals con you.

Too many calls from this number about credit cards

They called me yesterday October 2, at 3035 p.m., they left a message telling me that some charges will be added to my phone line.
I don't know who they are and what rights they have to charge my phone.
I haven't authorize them or anyone else to do that.

It's one of those "credit card services" tapes that comes on and talks about your credit and would you like to speak to a representative, blah, blah, blah.  Really annoying.  I am always tempted to speak to the live representative and hassle them, but then I feel sorry for them. After all, they are just trying to make a living.  It's not their company.

Just got one of these same calls, the female announced herself as Heather, soon as I heard "There's nothing wrong with your account just calling to blah blah blah about lowering the interest rates" blah blah blah.. I hung up and will be reporting as I too am on the DNC list.

another BS call is all I can figure

Got a call this afternoon from 202-459-7122.  I let my answering machine take the call.  As soon as the answering machine pick up they hung up. Also got a similar call two nights ago.  This one was from "Las Vegas, NV"  702-705-5030 When they told me that I was chosen in a special drawing that made me eligible to lower my rate on all my credit cards. I said Yeah right and pigs fly and hung up.  I'm also on the DNC list

Got a call from them, the number seemed familiar, like they had called before.  When I answered, it sounded like someone played four or five keys on the low pitch end of a piano, really eerie sounding.  Heard a click or two, piano stopped, heard nothing else after that, so I hung up.

I work for a reputable, long-standing, non-profit credit counseling agency. Based on personal experience and the experience of my clients, this agency's claim to know anything about who your credit card companies are (or their corresponding rates)is false -- it's a hook to get you to stay on the line. They call my cell phone and I've tried pressing "2" for the "do not call" option (though I'm already on every "do not call" list imaginable). It doesn't work, as they call a month or so later. I've tried talking to a rep to politely request removal from their list, but the moment they realize I'm not interested in their product, they disconnect me. Once, I tried to engage in conversation to find out more about their agency. Though I asked the same intelligent questions that my clients ask about MY agency (and I gladly respond to, as I'm proud of our national reputation), this agency disconnected me. I've reported them as well, and I'm pleased that they're being investigated. Please, guard yourself as a consumer and go to the Federal Trade Commisssion's website to learn how to discern the good from the "bad" agencies: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre38.shtm. I'm on the do not call list so not sure how this caller is still in existence with all the complaints i'm seeing about them.  i hit the zero key for a long time while "heather" was just starting to talk and they finally disconnected the call.  I guess they weren't sure what to do with that.

The call came in 10/14/09 at 9:18 AM EDT. Caller hung up as I answered.

This is another phone scam...be careful...do not give any information, they ask for your credit card account..!!

They call all the time and the recorded message talks about my credit.  You can't call them back, either. It is the kind of phone number that only makes calls but doesn't receive them.  We stayed on the line to speak after the recorded message first came on.  The operator disconnected me as soon as I told her to take my name off her list.
