Got a call today from someone I could not hear and then could not understand after telling them to speak up and speak clearly. There were calling for Visa and Mastercard offering a lower interest rate which means someone has information on me that is out there unfortunately for me - in the hands of people who should not have it. I don't need a lower interest rate so I just told them to take me off their list. Not much chance of that happening and this is another violation of the don not call list legislation Moving them parasites out of the country is going to mean this problem just revs up again and will gain momentum until the US numbers are turned off

The caller id only showed "cell phone call" and then the number. I tried calling the number back and it is a DISCONNECTED number! SCAM!!!!!

I just received a call (9/4 10:16 am) -- same scam, claiming to be "Visa/MasterCard" with the ability to lower my interest rates.

If Jacob is still following, can you provide a link on the investigation of this scam operation.  I can't find anything myself.  I would like to know what agency is doing this investigation.

just received a call today, they left a message saying "this is your final notice".  What a joke.

I recived hangup call from (202) 459-7122, So I called them back, several times and left them a message, to stop calling me!  one time I did get to talk to a black man, no name! then I started getting calls from that same black male, telling me he had C4 and a AK47 and he was going to keep calling me! it was the same man! and the number came up (private) on my caller ID.
When will the phone co, put a stop to this?

Received a call from this number a few minutes ago...a recording telling me about lowering my interest rate on my credit card...funny thing about that...I don't have any credit cards...duh!  I am reporting this to the online Do Not Call information listing.  And I report these stupid idiotic calls every single time I get one til they stop it...I do not answer any call from anyone I do not know.

Received call from this number on a Saturday.  I didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message.  From other posts I'm seeing, looks like it isn't worth answering.

I got a call from this number also (202-459-7122) on Sept. 5 2009 at 9:10am. My caller ID displayed "Cell Phone   DC". Since I didn't recognize the number I let it go to voicemail. Same message left as to others "there's no problem currently with your account, it is urgent that you contact us to lower your interest rate....etc."
Glad I Googled this number and discovered this to be a scam.

Called & left message to lower my credit card number.  My credit union would never never call like that!!!!  It's got to be a scam becauseI only have one credit card!

I pressed "1" and spoke with Jessica and pretended to be a person interested in lowering my credit card debt. I was able to get a call back number from her which was (877) 212-3634. I left a message at that number that i am on the do not call registry and for them to stop calling me. 2 days later, I get the same phonecall from  (202) 459-7122 and this time, Clara answered when I pressed "1". When I asked her for her callback number, she promptly hung up on me. I have reported both numbers to the do not call registry.

Just received a call from this number (I star 69'd it since I don't have caller ID)  A recorded voice said it was about lowering my interest rate
on my credit card.  It told me to press 1 to speak w/ a representative, but when I pressed 1, the call disconnected!  Received oon 09/09/2009 at 11:30am.

I got the same call today offering to lower my credit card percentage.

I got this call 09 09 2009.  Recorded message about my credit card.  I reported them to the FTC.

I got the same sort of call from 202-459-7122, lower interest rates, etc.  When I got through to an agent I told him that they had called many times and to stop.  He said there wasn't a do not call list that he could put me on.  These people are thieves!  Reported them as I always do.  Wonder if Fauxbama will shut them down since he seems to be able to protect and save us from everything else he deems bad in our lives.

1-202-459-7122 and when you press 1 for English, you get some foreigner that doesn't speak a word of English.

After I asked a few questions like " Where are you calling from?" and "How do you know which credit cards I have?" "Who told you this personal information?"

I must have scared him off cause he hung up.

How do I make them go away?

They used to call me all the time and I would ask to be taken off their list and they would just hang up on me and call me again the next day.  I DECIDED TO TAKE MEASURES INTO MY OWN HANDS.  Instead of always hanging up or not answering, I would answer and when the person came on the line I would scream as loud as I possibly could, then I would wait for them to hang up.  I originally did it just to get back at someone who was annoying me like crazy (waking up sleeping baby over and over), but suprisingly, they stopped calling!  Happy Ending!

They called and when i asked to be removed they hung up, I called the nimber back and it said that it wasn't in service.  SCAM!!

We are at our summer home and this phone number calls us 2 or 3 times each day with the same recording as mentioned above.  I have pushed 2 on the phone each time requesting that they not call me again. The calls still come each day.  I have filed with the NO Call list several times.  I noticed these calls started coming shortly after our CC number was stolen during a mail order purchase.  I have filed a complaint with the do not call registry but I doubt much will come of it.  
This call is a really scam.
