A guy called asking to book a limo to sleep in for the night because he can't sleep in hotels. spoke with an almost English accent.

i reported just so people know...but it was funny to me...when it happened...some don't like being fooled i guess...

These are prank calls from people who are using Skype and recorded phrases stored on internet "soundboards" to effect the dialog of the prankster. Sometimes its the voice of Judge Judy, Arnold Swartzenager, Al Pacino, but some ingenious pranksters are recording the dialog that occurs from the victims of the prank call to build new soundboards and use these to make further prank calls.  If you go to youtube and search on PRANK CALLS you fill find alot. Some of them are fake similar to what Radio Shows and the once populat Crank Yankers TV show would do. Others, are real prank calls made to real people. Tom The Pissed Off Roofer from A&S Roofing is just one of these. Others are for a guy named Duncan or Frank Garrett. With every new crank call, the prankster potentially gets new material to expand the library of soundboards. The best approach for these annoying calls is to: 1) hangup and not engage them in conversation - there's little fun in it when they don't get someone to react; 2) consider subscribing to your phone company's Privacy Manager service; 3) report prank calls to law enforcement; 4) get an unlisted number; 5) get a loud horn and blast it in the phone when they call then hangup; avoid calling them back - this will only play into their game to get a responce and it confirms to them your phone number; 6) record the call and provide the recording to law enforcement


Some other important tips:
1) never give out or confirm personal identification, even phone number, name, address, etc
2) as annoying as these calls can be, retain your composure and don't be drawn into their dialog - afterall, the whole reason they are doing this is to get you upset and get a responce;


Odds are the perpetrators are most likely teens or drunks who have way to much time on their hands and little in life but to find humor in making prank calls. Your best defense is to deprive them of the attention they are seeking.

Ive got a call from this caller ID and got some people cussing at me and i figured it out, these people are soundboards from prankers and some of them are known as Frank garrett, Rick the mullet man, chris the hacker and much more so if you engage in a conversation just put the phone down because if you respond with cursing and threats the prank caller can record that and use your voice as another soundboard and possibly call other people and they might call the police on you.

I just got a Phone call from this caller ID and told that Theyre from Datboys Data Recovery and also a man from Duncan construction. im getting fed up of these calls and im notifying the FBI and the Jefferson County Sherriffs Office and see what they can do to help ease this and also i saw on youtube that some prank callers have accounts like TheGoldenPhone2 and some others

Pegasus i got a call from a man called frank garrett also and some guy named rick was threatening to blow up my house. These prank callers need to stop harassing people i got called at 4 in the morning by someone called Lucifer and said he was going to hurt my family and i feel pretty darn shocked and i have also alerted the Federal Buerau of Investigation. Also i saw a blurb from someone Claiming to be from Datboys Data Recovery, Can you please contact me again and give me some information as to why people are doing this and how to get down their details. Me and my Employees are getting fed up with this

Ask yourself - "who do I know that has Skype?"... My father just tried to call my cell from Honduras, and not recognizing the number, of course I didn't answer... It would have been nice to be able to know this was a Skype call and pick it up... Oh well... maybe next time

Last night i got a call from this number at 1:54 am. He told me his name was Jermaine and he sounded black. I was like i dont think i know you? And then he told me that we had a math class together. When i asked him which class, he said he had a brain fart and couldnt tell me. But he started asking me about my day and stuff. He then told me he was gunna come pick me up and go see Saw 3D together. I was like sureeeee. Then he said well Goodnight and Sweetdreams Boo. Call you tomorrow.

-So yeah, just a little weird. But now as bad as some of the ones other people got from here.

Someone calls me from this number and it makes rare sounds it really freaks me out cause this is the second time...
