i understand that if you do make the investment there is a chance you can get work an make money i agree that it is better then geting an agent but it is a very hard industry and if you put the time and detacation in you can be succseful i worked in the sono offices and alot people knew what they were talking about and alot didnt can you explain why they are plaing to move and swich there name an why after a couple months in the palisades people have caught wind and r very skeptical about the calls and info they give out?and why everone is concerned about the bbb i know the chambers of congress is starting there investagtion.

Nervous that you are all right about this being a SCAM.
I have 2 boys that just registered and are just waiting on getting them "online"
Is there any validity to the fact that they do open up there website to viable agencies that book children?
My boys are 8 and 6.
Any positive feedback would be appreciated as My husband and I shelled out
money that was meant for our upcoming Mortgage payment.
We are in for over 2Grand
    thank you in advance

I used to work for interface, went to the "norwalk office" and it was a room with papers on the table, it sketched me out so i never returned to work for them. iv herd nothing but complaints about them and have never seen any validation of the company while being employed with them, i was also paid with hand written checks.

    knew it was a scam
They got me at the danbury mall, telling me how hot I was.  Acting as if my other experience would "help" like I had an audition ahead of me.  If you are recruiting at a mall, clearly you're a bit desperate, so that didn't sit well with me.  I googled them and that was all it took to know that this was a scam.  They called, I told them no thanks because they are clearly a scam.  She says that they won't make me pay for pictures is I have the talent.  That if I come in and they believe in me they will do whatever they can to make me successful.  I should just come in to try, what's to lose?  I said I could lose gas money and my time, and no thank you.  End of that.

How can you people call interface a scam when you have never followed up with the services and see if you booked any work, i did my own research and found that interface talent network is a part of the chamber of commerce of norwalk, if u dont know what that is, look it up, if interface were a scam there is no way the could be a part of the chamber of commerce, my sister actually followed through with the services, and actually got a casting call for law and order, and is also getting requests from agents...all interface is is a marketing company, they aren't an agency, but they have a 20 yr relationship with top agencies and help you get exposure to them, of course there are never any guarentees, there are never guarentees in the modeling, acting, or singing business..

cindy interface is not an agency...They help you gain exposure to agents, that is why they charge for photos, how else would the company make its money?

Everyone here that posts comments saying they worked for interface and trash talk the company are just people that got fired because they weren't good workers and are now trying to get back at the company...

I have worked for interface before and basically all this is bull crap....basically the recruiters will ask anyone who they see to fill out a card because that person has what it takes to be in the industry. why do they ask anyone? because the recruiters need to collect an number of cards each day inorder to keep their jobs. they later go to the call-center specialist. from  there all new cards are called and also the oldcards are called.... so don't be fooled when one call-center specialist tells you," you have what it takes to be in the industry because the director really wants to meet with you" , if you ask them who the director is they will say "O for the moment I do not have the directors name" and if you keep on insisting they will eventually say a fake name. o and please do not get fooled by the supervisors, one of them paul and jason they do not give a [***] about you they just want you to get into an appointment from you they will force. please do not stay quiet when they say o you should not jump into conclusions or Iknow you are skeptical but come see it for yourselves.[***]! if you ask them about the pay they will say "well it depends what the director says" or "if you decide to put money into marketing materials than that is entirely up to you" or they will even get to the point and say " if you can not afford to pay marketing materials than we will help you out" yea help you out my butt, because for the head shots that cost $1000 if not more and out of that money only $50 will be taken away a most 100 and thats it.IF ANYONE HAS BEEN CALLED BEFORE HAVE YOU NOT NOTICE THAT THEY TRY TO GET YOU GUYS IN TO AN APPOINTMENT RATHER THAN CARING ABOUT YOUR CHILD? WHY? BECAUSE YOUR CONVERSATION WITH THEM MOSTLY CONSIST OF YOU GUYS BEING HUNDRED PERCENT SURE THAT YOU WILL NOT COME, THEY WANT TO BE SURE THAT YOU WILL BE AT THE INTERVIEW SO YOU COULD GET FORCED TO WORK WITH THEM, AND IF YOU GUYS ARE PARENTS THEY WANT THE PARENTS TO BRING MORE THINGS THAN THE KIDS AND THE ONLY THING THAT THEY ASK FROM YOUR KIDS ARE 3 PRINTED PICS AND TO DRESS WELL THATS IT. if you do go to the appointment than you will be forced by the directors to work with them and if not your child might want to really do this not knowing that you guys are being fooled and the directors will use your child as excuses and will blame you guys for not letting your kids work with interface bullcrap and if you guys do keep going with the process you will eventually pay for everything even if you supposly meet up with a supervisor. so do you guys really want that for yourselves please do not be fooled you will end up paying so much money that in the long run you will not get it back.just think about it how many people do you know who have gotten in the industry actually worked with interface.none so there you go.

anabelle if u worked for interface then you should know that they do NOT approach everyone the walks by in the mall. If you worked for interface you would know about quality, 110 code, etc...interface scouts potential for commercial modeling or acting...There is no certain look for commercial modeling..look it up..interface scouts for potential commercial models not really high fashion editorial modeling..

I got stop in the palisades mall for this modelling thing. The girl who stopped me was very attractive and so being a good looking man i go to the meeting to find out how this modelling thing works. My mom and dad were very sketched out by the whole concept of investing such a high amount of money for something that is not garuntees. But we did it and around a month later i got a request for a print catalog campaign..and have recieved several other calls from a few agents. This does work but you have to understand the longer you are marketed for the better your chances...GOOD LUCK

everyone who says this a scam is correct...i worked for the company and its "sister" company Industry Studios...I honestly just worked there for the money because they pay really well...everything about the company is sketchy and we used to get complaints allllll the time...our employees had to go to the office for a tour and the founders of the company are the biggest [***] ive ever met..they literally tried to brainwash us and some people actually fell for it...they have a [***] ad for J-Lo's perfume with a girl Sophia who we supposedly scouted but if you look at the ad and look up J-Los children u will see that the little girl is in fact her daughter not little Sophia...and I am not an angry ex employee because I got fired..I worked at the Palisades Mall and was fired because the manager at the kiosk is a [***] who likes to sleep with her minor employees and we tried to get her out of there but later found out that Interface Talent Network doesnt allow "unification" lmao...anyway people just stay away.. the only guarantee you have is wasting your money!

wow this company is full of it! cindy and elisa, i cannot believe that that manager still works there. Technically she committed statutory rape and should have been terminated from that job and arrested. The fact that they allow this woman to work there just convinced me even more that they are indeed a scam. No legitimate company would ever allow a person like this to work for a company that focuses on working with children and getting them into modeling!

look lila it doesnot take me 1 year to know that interface it full of [***]...and plus I am not the only one who thinks this..can you please explain what the 110 code is. because what I can say is that none of the call-specialist know [***] about that.  and yes its true not everyone has the look and for that reason people should not be wasting thousands of dollars in this company not knowing if they are going to get something back... and honey they do approach everyone in the mall give me a break... How are you going to tell me if I saw it myself many scouts just approach anyone to sign a card, hello i was approached many times by the interface scouts just to sign a card, and clients that I have had to call before have had no interest whatsoever in modeling, acting or singing plus many of them that I have called said it was just a prank they were doing for their friends blah blah blah.... soo lila you must not know soo much about your company because yes they do approach everyone they see.so don't come telling me how this [***] company works honeybun ;P

    EX-INTERFAKE MANAGER
    DEAR EVERYONE, PLEASE READ THIS:

HEY, EVER SEEN BOILER ROOM ?!?!?!?!?!

WELL JUST THINK OF ME AS SETH...

I WAS A MANAGER AT INTERFAKE TALENT NETWORK, AND I QUIT FOR ETHICAL REASONS. (I MAY HAVE EVEN MET SOME OF YOU AT THE FRONT DESK)

I CAN EXPOSE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW...look up www.industrystudio.com or Industry Studio in New Jersey (where the company is really based out of)

You are all VERY right about interFACE or interFAKE (as I like to call it). I worked with them from the day they 1st opened, and quit as soon as I figured out what was going on.....It is all fake, and designed to make the owner $$$. You are asked to lie, and smile in people's faces when you know you are taking their hard earned $$$ and dashing their kid's dreams.

OH AND ABOUT THOSE LOOOONG WAIT TIMES.....

They "choose" their families by watching them on hidden cameras as they walk in the building. If the family looks wealthy (i.e Chanel bag) They call the receptionist, and temm her to set their paper aside to go in sooner.

OH AND THE DIRECTORS THAT HAVE BEEN IN THE BUSINESS FOR 10 YEARS & MADE A SPECIAL TRIP JUST TO MEET WITH YOU ON THAT SPECIFIC DAY....

are ACTUALLY sales associates that are there EVERYDAY and even have a daily sales quota to meet!

FYI: The real company start date was Jan 10, 2008, before then it was an empty building....just like Boiler Room!!!

I felt horrible everyday at work, no one is really happy to work there except the owner. They don't care about their employees, IVE BEEN ASKED TO HIRE PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY WERE MORE ATTRACTIVE OR THINNER THAN SOME ONE WHO WAS WAAAAAAY MORE QUALIFIED, BECAUSE IMAGE IS EVERYTHING AT INTERFAKE TALENT!!!

The receptionists are responsible for EVERYTHING from fixing the toilet when it is stopped up to telling you (the parents) anything you want to hear to keep you in the building---because everyone is a potential sale, and everyone who leaves is $$$ walking out the door. While the owner and "directors" watch people EVERYWHERE EXCEPT THE BATHROOM in a camera room (which I was invited in, but waaaaay to creeped out to go in)

I guess what I'm saying is......I can't tell you how or where to spend your $$$ but on your way to InterFACE to meet with a director or marketing director (that's who you meet after you pay the 1st director) just list all the fun things you can do with your family for $550 - $2000+....I'm sure you will make the right choice!!!!

P.S - The Maritime Center is awesome, across the street, and waaaaaaaaay cheaper that a photoshoot!!!!

    Burned!
Interesting details. Thanks for sharing your experience as a former InterFace employee.  We call it "InterFake" in our house as well.  Those of you who have been duped into spending your hard earned money, keep complaining to the Attorney General or the Better Business Bureau.  They helped us recover our money when we were scammed in April 2008.  As I mentioned in a previous post, after the Attorney General sent them a letter, we got a nasty letter from InterFace's "high power" NYC attorney, saying how dare we say we were scammed when InterFace is a "reputable" firm.  Yeah, right!
