I paid over 500 dollars for my pictures with interface. They told me to come in on a saturady at 6 any day but Sunday. I go up there .I never got to look at my pictures from the photoshoot. They wasted my time, gas, tolls and moey. Also money on the pictures. I never got to see. So How do I get to see and retrieve my pictures was I scammed and ripped off. I live all the way in Tuckerton and their in EastBrunswick. They wasted my time money wise since I'm on SSI Ihad to make two payments on the pictures nad the money of it was lost not looking at the pictures or receiving any pictures.

I took my daugther into Interface for a consultation.  I went through with signing the contract and scheduling a shoot.  Once I read this I became very nervous.  I gave them a big check.  I was not aware that I would not receive the photos and that I had to give up more money. I became more nervous when no one would return my calls.  I immediately went to the post office and sent them a certified letter canceling my request.  I followed up twice confirming the contract and the refund policy.  I received my refund in exactly 30 days.  Boy was I relieved.  Just be sure to read the contract everyone.  If you do not get a straight answer or a call back just send a certified letter within the three days to cancel.  It worked fine for me.  I must say though that you will receive alot of pressure not to cancel.  Just stick to it and keep saying no.

Yes you probably do work for them. We were approached at a park. My friend was the same week and since my child acts and loves to be in front of the camera I fell for it. I was promised cards for the over $500 dollar shoot composite cards they promised to send out and promote him with. Guess what after the shoot that is a cattle call with half the people who you can tell are people with no model potential we went back. My 6 year old was so excited and I thought at least he will get 50 cards sent out and a shot. Joke on us that 45 dollars I thought was for cards was for copyright fee to pictures it would have been $300 more dollars for cards. We told these people it took all we had to afford the shoot our sons dream. At this point I dont even beleive they send out the cards they lied to us and I drove 3 hours to bring my son there. I to got some good shots because my sons cute and some awful ones because the photographer did not care how he posed him he was rushing to do the 100 people they took from the malls and amusement parks they said they could make stars. Some overweight and over 40 I saw everything that day. I am sorry but I was lied to and my son at 6 years old was lied to and that is not right. Do not promise something and then say it cost  $300 dollars I am reporting this...

I can tell you as a current employee that Interface is not completely a SCAM, but they definitely treat all the clients the same. When they call you in for your first appointment, it's NOT to see if you qualify, its to sell you a photoshoot - everyone "qualifies."
-They don't care who you are or what you look like.

During that appointment, a manager tries to convince you to purchase the biggest package. They'll constantly tell you that you need to be "committed," but it's really just to pressure you into buying a package. When you buy the photoshoot, they don't review in detail that you have to pay for copyrights ($45) and have the "marketing assistants" encourage you to buy webhosting. Webhosting is free for 30 days and 10 bucks after, the assistants will tell you that you can call the number on the back of a form to cancel, but when you try, the customer service rep makes cancelling almost impossible.

After you get the copyright, you meet with the Marketing Director who's "so excited to meet with you." These directors are merely persuasive, they chose 5 pictures that they thought were best of the photoshoot, but they're regular people with little experience and education enough to determine what talent agencies like. The point of this meeting isnt to "show you how your son or daughter is going to be marketed," it's to sell you a contract.

The directors and managers who work there assume whoever pays in cash doesn't have money - and they'll say ANYTHING to make it seem like your pictures were amazing to sell you that contract, for up to 5 years (thousands of dollars.)

They'll call and confirm appointments with you CONSTANTLY. They wont leave messages, and dont reschedule.

After this entire process, how your son/daughter gets marketed is BEYOND US. No one there knows ANYTHING about marketing. EVERYTHING is scripted.

OK i read all of these posts. they called me today and my big sis made an appt for tomaro . the guy said its modeling/acting/singing dancing. and i would be going around the country for photo shoots .they asked for my pix with good smile and other good pix. i am good at taking pix and modeling is not my first choice of my carrier or anything like that. taking pix is a habit for me. they also asked me to put on a cute dress when i go there. but also they asked that my parents go with me. so im not sure what all of this is. i dont know what to believe. they also had a translator for my mom because she speaks another language. and that language is not common in the USA. so if its a scam. how would it be possible that they have a translator..... hope i made sense.

I  just want everyone to know that what the interviewer tells you is different from what is on the agreement  you  sign. My daughter and I went to interface recently and the interviewer told us that if we took the photo shots ,interface  will   market my daughter for roles in movies and modelling. She even told me if I did'nt agree to the photoshoot ,my daughter would lose a chance in a life time. I told her I would need time to think about it but she told me I had to make a deposit and sign the agreement right away as they will not be inviting us back, so I gave her the deposit and signed the contract. After I got home ,I read the agreement and realized I had been deceived. The only thing Interface has agreed to  do is to give you a photo shoot . The agreement states that they have no obligation to provide you with marketing or promotional services which means that you are getting only a photo shoot for almost a $1000.

REAL talent agencies DO NOT take ANY money unless they place you in an ad,movie, commercial, etc.  If any "recruiter", asks for money up front, RUN AWAY!!! I was involved as a child, and all my photos were taken for me FREE OF CHARGE.  And the photos that interFace has taken are not "professional" quality.  There is NO WAY that I would pay even $10 for those shots.  I would be better off going to Sears for headshots.
And if you were in a legitimate talent agency office, dont you think you would see other clients in the office???  Even PICTURES on the walls of their work????  Would you want your company to look like it just popped in one day and is ready to pick up and leave at a moments notice???
Come on now...Preying on young, naive children children should be a crime.  You people are disgusting!!

I got a call, strike that. I got 24 calls from this number stating my daughter could be a star and that they wanted to have a consultation/interview with us to ensure that she is model/celebrity material. We both had to be there (Wife and Father), sucks if you were a single parent. But seriously, we made an appointment for 10 am on a Saturday to conduct an interview in Norwalk, CT. At 8:30am we get a call from this agency reminding us about the meeting, etc. I have an 11-month kid; even if I was going I would have been getting her ready to go to the session and look pretty at this time, not trying to answer their call. However, this person was extremely rude and must have been talking to a mirror because she was not talking to me or listening to me. She went on and on about how rude we are and how this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. (Really because at 11-months, they know she would never get a chance again). I could not get one word in, but when I did "I asked her if she was dense" because whatever I said she continued to say that I was unprofessional and rude, but calling me 24 times was not unprofessional or harrassing. And that there was a director there that came in for my daughter from NY. Ummm, I thought she was getting an interview. If a director is there, how much am i getting paid for this because last I checked directors means work. Talent agent means interview and consultation.

For all those people that wonder, if your kid is talented enough, you will only need to sign a contract with an agent and not have to pay for anything. You would have already paid a photographer for head shots and a portfolio to present to the latent agent which is just that - an agent who helps the talent (you) book gigs so that they get a percentage of your money. Don't get suckered into paying for anything.

And for some humor in this, I can just imagine what the interview would be like for my 11-month old daughter.

    First Question:
Agent or Director: So tell me why you think you want to be a model?
My 11-month daughter: YAAYYYAAA! WHAAA! YAAYAA!
Agent or Director: Good answer, does she have any problems with not having her shirt on.
Me: Um.. She's not even 11-months, she does not know the difference really. I am sure if she was the next e-trade commercial kid, that would be fine.

    Next question:
Agent or Director: Have you had any acting or modeling jobs in the past? Can you sit there?
My 11-month daughter: (looking with confused eyes) Just sits there on my wife's lap. And answers "Good"
Agent or Director: Wow! She has potential because she sat there nicely.

    Next question:
Agent or Director: Do you really want to be a star? I think you do, Mom/Dad what do you think?
All three of us: Yes of course.
Agent or Director: Okay, so give me all your money and I would make her a star.
Me: Um, how about no and I open up a class action lawsuit against your industry because you are a fraud and a scam and RUDE!

Don't do it, don't fall for this.

Was called from Interface representatives alt number 203-528-0297 - caller ID said "trunk line..." meaniing there was no associated called ID.  We were called 4 times the same day (all but one call went to voice mail as we weren't home during the weekday) - the one we answered came in after 930pm!  this was after being stopped in the mall. fortunately I only gave them one phone number they wanted my cell number too and i refused.  I did research and this is a company that scams you to pay 500 or more for photos that they claim are used for modeling and etc.  don't do it! a real agency would let you start with your own shots and would be listed with the BBB.  I called them and asked to have our number and info removed from their telemarketing lists -  I am considering filing a complaint with westfield mall too - they shouldn't allow this type of company to nab people in the malls and lure them into their scam!

I recently was confronted in the WestFarms mall along with my sister, they seemed harmless and resenable. We only gave them our phone numbers and names but bad idea. They wont stop harrassing us. I get calls at 8:00 in the morning and till 10:00 at night. on average I would say we get called about 5 times a day. They dont leave voicemails sometimes but when they do they sound needy and "I cant wait to hear from you!". Ironically we never had the time to answer them (Ive been busy or in the car driving). I decided to search their number and came to a million websites with tons of horror stories. We havnt been asked for money yet but I DONT plan on continueing with this scam. I think I'll give them a piece of my mind the next time i get a call. Hope they dont call again...Dont trust them, If they really thought you were talented they would hold casting calls, professionals dont have predetors posted at malls and amusement parks that pull every kid they see over.

    MOTHER OF ALL SCAMS!
Here's the REAL DEAL.  About a year ago, my wife and daughter were approached by a woman at the Trumbull Mall..."You're daughter is beautiful...have you ever considered modeling etc?  Sad to say that my wife and I were kind of taken by surprise and flattered so we took a card and signed her up.  We got a call back the next day...yes the same number posted many times before.  We set up a consultation...BOTH PARENTS had to be there etc.  Dress my daughter for success etc.  So we head to SoNo and enter the pretty empty lobby...some posters on the wall...pretty barren place big desk in center of room...we are told it will be a while...they'll come out to get us etc.  We wait for 25 minutes and we are met by an energetic "agent" who brings us into his office which consists of a small desk, two chairs his chair...a computer and a phone and one single picture of someone on his desk.  My first thought IMMEDIATLEY was...this place looks like a stage set...like so minimal it looks like it can be set up/taken down in a matter of minutes...the whole place has that feel.  As our "interview/consultation" went on, this guy seemed more and more rehearsed...knew the right few things to say...went through 1 single book of "famous" people discovered by the agency (Gossip Girl cameo etc) before he explained the next step that HAD TO OCCUR THAT DAY...a spot booked with the photographer.  Packages ran from $500-$2000 but hey - they take credit cards!  Well, my wife was a bit more taken then I so we signed up for an $800.00 photoshoot ( they to,d us to bring outfits etc) and though I asked to see the website that would display the photos and make them available...damn if it was running too slow and wouldn't load.

We left and immediately went to get some food in the area.  As we are sitting at dinner, I to,d my wife it didn't feel right at all...she sort of agreed but was willing to go through with the photoshoot.  By the time we got home, I made the decision for both of us that I was gong to call the number on the contract we had just received after credit card payment and cancel (which you have to do within 48 hours or No Refund in VERG SMALL print).  I tried calling and got no answer...mind you they were still open!  I called any number on the sheet and fina,,y got some woman in NJ who hung up when I started asking questions and she was supposed to be transferring me.  I tried calling back and left a message at a beep that had. I greeting and proceeded to go on my computer.  I used the contact info to e-mail them and then wrote a very firm letter threatening legal action as I was sure this was a scam by now.  I sent it off via 1 day mail (had to get it there by deadline for money back and had written that I would do so and therefore have a receipt) and I was called that day.  After one last push to get me to go to the photoshoot I manhandled the dude on the phone and he said he'd refund.  Within two days I had a full credit to my credit card and a couple days later they sent a follow up telling me that I should not take an further action since I was refunded - which was all I had wanted.  THE MOTHER OF ALL SCAMS...but you can get out...follow my lead!
