I got 7 calls in 10 minutes. I listen to a few seconds of the guy talking about how my computer is sending warning messages to them and then I hung up the guy kept calling I told him to stop calling me and he said he will call anyways. And then left me voice messages saying how sweet my voice sounded and how he wants to talk to me... Creeping and incredibly irritating!

Been calling continuously since 2009 claiming to be from "Microsoft" or 'Windows 7".  They say computer is "generating malicious code" (ridiculous) and try to steer you to Event Viewer to see (harmless) error messages, all intended to scare you into allowing them to access your computer via "Logmein123".  Once there, they either infect your computer with malware and charge you to 'fix" it or steal your passwords, etc. to gain access to your personal financial information.  Most people would not fall for such an obvious scam - is really directed to the elderly or technologically challenged.  Don't fall for it - report them to the FTC or your State Attorney General.  Not that it will do much good, but if enough people file enough complaints, the government may be forced to protect us from these scammers.  Good luck!

I just received a call from 206-456-0661 claiming to be from Microsoft Windows Service Center and that my computer was watched by Microsoft and I had several problems but she says if I go to my computer she will repair it all I had to do is follow her instructions. I repeatedly told her, how do I know who you really are and if you are not a hacker. She says m'am I am from Windows Service Center and only trying to help you. She gave me a code number and told me to never ever give this code out to anyone, it was the code of my computer she says, Had me write down the #.  She had a very heavy accent and was very noisy of people talking behind her. When she begin to tell me what to do to my computer I again said I am not certain who you are & well at that she said fine, if you do not believe me, bye bye and immediately hung up.
Happy I had sense enough to do nothing to my computer and not believe this woman.

I just received exact same phone call and posted I see shortly after you.  I am elderly but knew this could not be correct. I know enough to not allow others to try and enter my computer, do not care what secret code she gave me that only Microsoft and me know, she claimed. When she got to the point of telling me was I sitting at my computer and I said yes then begin to tell me what to do on it. I again said how do I know you are who you say you are with. She said ok, if you do not believe me, bye bye and quickly hung up.......Sandra

I received a call from a idiot who tried to get me to answer questions I avoided.  I used an dialect I picked up in India.  The individuial began insulting me.  He wanted to know what I liked, I told him all I had was a tablet.  He then began insulting me, and I then advised him, I had my phone run through my PC and I determined he was using a voip phone number, inside the united states.  Calling the number back it says it is outside the US.  This means the individual running this scam have a base in American where they can call through a voip system.  Using a good phone blocking tool has proven to work.

They want access to your PC so they can look into your private information.  Do not at anycase give the any information.  Ask for their name and a return phone number.  Microsoft does not make phone calls to users all updates are made via the internet.  This is a scam

Every time I block a number the so called 'Microsoft scammers' change numbers.  I have received 6 calls from 206-456-0661 & 3 calls from 999-910-0454 in the last few days.  There has to be a way we can get someone to stop this?  Please please help.  They even phoned me at 2 a.m.  So now I have my phones on ''night'' so they can't ring.

Today is not the first time this person has called with this line of bull. Each time it is the same thick accented man. "My computer has sent him a message, it is infected" blah,blah,blah...when I ask which ip address he has no idea so I continue with the little game of...then how do you know which computer?
He has called at all hours from 2am to 2pm and everywhere in between...oh and my husband has had a few choice words and cow refrences too, probably why we get return calls.

Received two calls today from this number. First was a heavily accented man claiming to be from windows. I said, "Where is windows located"? He replied India. I hung up. Second call came just hours later from a woman, same heavy accent. She said she was a microsoft tech and my computer was sending error messages to microsoft. I said, "Where is Microsoft located "? and she hung up. I immediately looked up the number and found this site. Thanks for confirming my suspicions.
