A man with an Indian accent claimed to represent, "Technical Maintenance Department" to fix my Windows computer. I hung up on him.

I just got one of these calls.  A man with a thick accent asked for me by my last name.  Something about "DNS Changer" malware.  He actually hung up on me when I didn't immediately fall for his scam.

Same some east indian accent (sounding) calling himself MIchael called. I get these calls EVERY single month even though my phone is registered on the Canadian Do not call list.

The phone numbers that appeared on my phone are 206-456-0661 and 888 810 0399

Called Stated was a Windows Tech, and someone was trying to infect my computer.
Strong Indian accent, Mr. Martin was his name, lol

Stating they are IRS and filing a suit against

Was contacted about furniture on craigslist. Tiara Wright said she was using a friend's phone and to send her an email. She was going to send me a check for the item and then she said she would overpay me so that I could pay her movers. That's when it really got fishy. So beware the 206 numbers they are fake

I received an automated message from 360-215-7411, that this was my final notice from the IRS and told me to call 206-462-5330

I received a call from"Windows". Claiming they were needing to check my computer and was I near it and please turn it on! Yes, I fell for it! Only because I was trying to locate a Realtek driver on the Microsoft Windows site, after I downloaded 10, to my daughter's tablet and for some reason I keep getting the error message that the realtek driver can't be found!
They put on this encrypted app and were digging around in the C:// programs.
By the time I had searched their site Supremo, software; it was too late! They said they would offer me a protection site from hackers for $249 for three years and one for 7 years for $499. I told him I had to ask my daughter since it was her tablet. I waited until my husband got home and we decided to call him, Matthew and tech support expert Michael,who both by the way were from India or Turkey or something like that...I said to please take the encrypted file off my tablet. He said to reboot and it'll go away!
Nope, it locked me out of the tablet.
After no help from Microsoft technical troubleshooting department, unless I pay $99, and dumba..Geek squad, who told me to throw it away. I finally figured it out on my own.
Prior to downloading the Windows 10, I saved her entire system to OneDrive and retained a Bit locker code!
I went to another person computer, not on my routers and got the code from http:// windows.com/bitlockeraccess. Got it, followed the instructions and used the recovery files to set to the day I installed 10. Valla! It works better than before and I have since deleted the previous OS!

They have been calling me the past few months 2016-2017  but I never answer. I do all of my own I.T. work.
