Did not answer, machine got the call and recorded voice indicated a number of options to accept the call (i.e. press 1 to use credit card, press 2 to accept collect call, etc.)

Just got a call from this number. It was a collect call from my husband. The payphone is located in front of Walmart in Ranch cucamunga CA.

My husband forgot his cell phone today but by the time he realized it he was already on a train to NYC for Buisness he just called me with this same # he went to Dwayne Reade and bought a calling card and used it when calling me.
My guess is that this # is tied back to a calling card comp

I got 4 calls w/i 10 minutes at 930pm representing to be a "Collect Call" from a friend (who stated his name). Recorded message went on to say that my phone number COULD NOT BE BILLED the $17.95 charge for 1st 20 minutes, and to press 1 to bill to my credit card, or 2 to bill to my home address!
A SCAM -  my friend has a CELL phone to call without an $18 bill.  QTbill said to register at www.qtbill.com which wanted to know WAY TOO MUCH INFO to put Credit Cards, SSA #, Year of Birth ---- etc for exhorbitant charges for a phone call across town!!!!

Seems that other people BALK at this scam! BEWARE, folks!

It is a collect calling agency, not an actual phone.  It means someone is trying to callyou collect.  unfortunately there lines stink and you only can talk a minute at most...

This means someone is calling you from a payphone collect somewhere in america.

the number is from Dallas TX had a police friend check it out called and left a nasty message on my business line would love to meet this jerk one on one

This is a payphone my boyfriend always calls me on his way back from Arizona so when he hits Yuma Arizona he calls from the payphone and it's always the same payphone but it always give a random number with the area code starting with 214 and so this phone company that's picking up the call like long distance carrier are generating a different number each time. Cause only sometimes we will get the same number. So if you got family that maybe calling you anywhere in the US you might want to get it cause it might really be a family member or it could be wrong number but I get alot the 702 area code from that same payphone too but all different numbers...

Got a call to my cell phone from this number.  It was full of static when the person said their name, and then it was press 1 to bill to a credit card or 2 to leave a voice mail.  It happened again and then hung up.

Call said it was from my husband who is working out of town. I got scared and tried to call his cell number but no answer.  I left a message on his cell phone to call me.  They also called my home phone.  Left message on both phones.

It is a pay phone and it is legitimate, since cell phones cannot accept collect calls they give you the option to pay with a credit card or bill it to your home! A friend of mine called me form this #!

Just got a call from this number.  Dallas Tx landline.  Very fishy.  Please be aware.

I just got a call from this number 2 hours ago.  It was a jail call from my boyfriend in Rocky Mount NC.  I live in North Carolina as well. But, it was legit.

Sunday, 11, October,2009, got several calls from tis number. It had a recorded message asking for a credit or debit card number. Had a bad feeling about it. My husband used it anyway and talked to this guy he used to know approximately five minutes. There was nothing saying cost per minute or anything. Now I'm waiting (cringing more like) waiting to see what the bank statement will sat this call has cost. I tried calling that number too and got a busy signal. I'm worried.

I will assure everyone who questions this number of its origin . It is a pay phone at a mental ward in a hospital in Kentucky . My son called me from this number today and I know he is in this mental facility.I myself questioned the numbers origin as it has a Dallas TX area code ...I live in Fort Worth Texas I guarantee that it is a mental facility in Kentucky.....Hazzard Kentucky .

I got a call at 6:50 am this morning from the number. It was very strange. The guy knew what line of work we were in and tried to tell me that he was somewhere close & supposed to work with my husband. The guy told me he was calling from a payphone about an hour from my house in VA. I knew that it was a TX phone number. He had a weird voice that was not easy to understand and I finally just hung up.When I tried to call the number back, it was busy. When I called back a second time, it rang-but no one ever picked up.

got a call from that number at 1057 pm October 15, 2009. I now know not to bother answering it

My wife called me from the Miami airport on 10/17/09 and my phone displayed 214-969-5489.  I didn't recognize it so I didn't answer it.  She left a message saying to call her back at a number in area code 786 (Miami).  When I called the number she gave me, it made a fax machine noise.
