I got the same text, but from +44 7876 250433. Country code 232 is for Sierra Leone. Not sure why I would be getting a Large Parcel from them, or why they would be able to deliver tomorrow (ie Sunday). Smells like scan spirit.

Having read the other comments, this would appear to be a scam. I did not have a missed call from them, and I am not expecting any international parcels. +232 is for Sierra Leone.

Text from +447879643093 asking to call +23222270680 URGENT parcel delivery. Network - Orange. Big mistake to leave a message on a Saturday evening time 21.53 for Sunday delivery!

Received same text message at 2.32am this morning. So did an advanced Google search just now for "+232 222 70680" and found this site. Text sender: +447876247021.

At 2.40am on Sunday 23rd Nov I received the same text as Robert (see Nov 8). As it happens I AM expecting a parcel from overseas but the timing of the text seemed strange so I did some digging. Now I know why!!! My thanks to everyone.

I agree - don't call these numbers, they are just scams.  BUT - maybe we can fight back in a cheaper way ... Given the numbers the messages are sent from  need to be active then let's start calling these numbers back or texting them with suitable messages.  Just remember to prefix the number with "141" so it isn't traceable.  If any of the readers of this work shifts ie unsociable hours, even better, interrupt their sleep by keep ringing etc.  I did it at 6am this morning (up with baby when I received a message).  When I did call - the spammer sometimes let it go to voicemail, sometimes they diverted my call after 1 or 2 rings.  Can't wait until one of them answers ;->

I received a text message at 7,22am, I haven't called them back. thought it was a scam. I would love to know what the mobile networks are doing to help prevent these????  I guess they would do more if it started hitting their pockets!!!! Anyway glad i googled it, feel sorry for the people who haven't got access to the internet.

yeah, ive had the exact same thing happen to me. at 5am. i dont even use ebay. i may be 14 but i aint that stupid to respond to that. i even tried to ring BOTH the numbers just to see what was up and it just said the number wasnt recegnised.

These really are annoying aren't they?! The same message as everyone else about a parcel awaiting delivery...it was sent from +447884445051. I think this is also a UK mobile number and am tempted to call it back, but not sure if I'd also get stung for that?

Got the same thing yesterday....very clever really...lots of parcels being delivered this time of year...SCAM SCAM SCAM.

I've got the "URGENT!! Large parcel delivery" message - as I'm not expecting anything and it was an overseas contact number +23222270680 I too was suspicious - glad I googled the number I certainly won't be calling!
