called and sent a message claiming there was a large pacel waiting to be delivered - from international parcel delivery - I know this not to be true

My mum had a text come through like this yesterday, unfortunately she phoned it and stayed on the phone the whole 10 mins as shes waiting for some deliveries for crimbo alot of which is stuff for when my baby arrives!!

If she'd have phoned me before doing anything i'd have said ignore it cos its a scam but due to her age and good nature she called it, I'M SO PISSED OFF!!!! Hope these [***] get some karma back on them one day!!!!

Received a text at 2.30am on sunday morning from 07879644227 saying !!URGENT!!  Large parcel awaiting delivery. Please call +23222270680. for delivery tomorrow International Parcel Deliveries. I was not expecting a parcel so were not sure if it was a scam but after reading other comments glad i did not act on it.

Received the same messages as all the above from mobile no:07774 505331 to call +23222270680

This is a scam number dont phone it they send from 1000's of different numbers and have a high fee per minute

I'd seen warnings about this before but still fell for it as I was expecting a parcell. How stupid can you get.

Received the following text on Sunday evening 9/11/08:

Tomorrow
International Parcel Deliveries

As I wasn't expecting anything and the text arrived on a Sunday I became suspicious. A Google search found something similar that started 2 years ago, and further searches take this kind of scam back to 2001.

I reported this to the police, but I doubt whether there is much they can do about something originating from Sierra Leone.

Glad found this site to confirm my suspicions over urgent parcel delivery text sent on saturday night!
Won't be calling them then...

same number same scam except i texted back 'bollocks' and I don't know how much that cost me :(

Got the same text from +447879644750 asking me to call +23222270680.
Unfortunately I was expecting a big parcel so without thinking I was taken in:the experience cost me about £3!!!!!!

I have this message twice it comes from text number 07765778316 saying large parcel awaiting delivery please call now on 23222270608,  is this a scam

We received this text today - same message. Sender's no. +447879642979. Today was our first wedding aniversary and consequently thought it was a package from a friend. We phoned a couple of times with a total of two minutes approx. We hope they catch the rat bags.

Oh Gord! I am expecting a parcel so I phoned and left a message, texted and phoned about 3 times on the land line. Am I the scammers dream???????

Received text about !!Urgent!! parcel delivery from apparently new number 07879644227. Smells like a scam to me.

Phone call to mobile No. Suspect a scam. No intention of ringing back.
