all the numbers used are international premium rate (revenue share) numbers. The regulators (UK/Austrian) know or could easily find out who is behind this fraud.

Ambavox and Maxtis may not be the companies operating the scam but they will know who they have supplied the numbers to. And remember these numbers are revenue share numbers.
It's also interesting to note that Maxtis also supplies Sierra Leone numbers for use to bill for premium rate 'services'.

International Parcel Deliveries
– which is a Freetown in Sierra Leone telephone number. I don't understand how they would make money out of this, unless that's a premium rate number in Sierra Leone, or it's a scam perpetrated by UK mobile phone operators (joke).
Interestingly, the sender’s number was in the UK… +44 7884 443307.
I forwarded the message to Vodafone’s Anti-spam service.- Caller: International Parcel Deliveries
- k.phillipsThis is a complete hoax ,my other half works for the herts frad squad and the people that are running this shold realise that this could be an imprisonal offence.
- Caller: international parcel deliveries
- Mrs AngryI got this text. Am expecting a parcel from Australia about this time so tried ringing the number. However, after checking with the sender they confirmed they had never given my mobile number as a contact. A scam I won't fall for again!!

- Peter FordLooking through SOME of these pages, and also the pages at http://phoneowner.info/Number.aspx/23222270682 I have gathered a list of SOME of the UK caller IDs (such as +447748179224) apparently responsible for these fraudulent SMSs. My list has 49 different numbers in, occurring between 1 and 7 times each.
I have sent it to my provider Virgin Mobile. If any other providers, or any police forces or regulators wish to have this list, get in touch with me at "petef319@fordy.org". - ThomasGot text message on 23rd November from number +44 7876 250433 asking me to call +232 222 70680 as I had large parcel awaiting delivery and to arrange delivery for tomorrow.
Looking at comments here glad I didn't call as it could have been costly. Obviously this is some sort of scam text. Especially as they appear to be changing the mobile number every so often.
Suggest staying well clear- Caller: International Parcel Deliveries
- AntThe number +232 222 70680 isn't listed in international (http://www.kftv.com/infozone/general/int-dialling.asp (+234 is Nigeria etc). Most likely a scam. If 222 is a premium rate number in that country and international dialling can invoke the rate (how to find out? how to find out if uk 0900 can be called from overseas?) then that's where we lost money. I'll assume the 07.. mobile texting us the +23 number can't generate charges. A week later now, the +23 number is non-existent.
