Got this text yesterday "Urgent" Large parcel awaiting delivery Please call now +23222270680 For delivery Tomorrow, Thought it was a scam and googled the number that led me to this site, glad i did not call although i was expecting a parcel.

I also had this text and am also awaiting a parcel delivery from fragrance direct. Does the same thing apply to anyone else???

The Austrian regulators (Austrian Regulatory Authority for Broadcasting and Telecommunications (RTR)http://www.rtr.at/) know who are operating these numbers and are turning a blind eye.  Ofcom could easily identify the numbers being used and have them barred from the UK network but have also decided to turn a blind eye.

this is the message:  
Text message - "URGENT! A large parcel is awaiting delivery, please call +43820****** [or +2322227****] for delivery tomorrow. From International Parcel Deliveries"

The 0820***** (Ausrian) numbers are the same as uk 0871 numbers
The +23222227**** are Sierra Leone numbers.  They are used to bill for premium rate services and will probably not terminate in Sierra Leone.

These numbers are supplied in blocks to different companies.  They are all revenue share numbers.  The network that's billing the number, the company supplying the number and the company that's using the number all share the revenue.
That may explain why the regulators refuse to shut this fraud down.

So the 'regulators' know who are behind.  You all should be writing to your Members for Parliament.

I had the same text saying large parcel awaiting delivery. I wasn't expecting anything either so I googled it and arrived here...

I'm on vodafone and recieved the same message to call +23222270680 from International Parcel Deliveries this morning and although I too am waiting for 2 parcels, one from overseas, both are small and certainly not Large.

Thanks to this website I'm not going to call / text back, but I'm wondering if it's more than a co-incidence that I'm waiting for some parcels to arrive?

Had the same text 10mins ago from +447765778316. Lucky for me i'm not expecting any large deliveries. I done like many other people here, I googled it first and it lead me here. I'm on Orange contract.

Got the same text from +447919343989 asking me to call +23222270680 ... am not expecting an international delivery so would like to call [***]. I am on Orange in the UK.
I wonder what we all have in common that led to us all being contacted by these scammers? Unless they're just inputting random numbers..

We were not expecting a delivery.  Did not call number.

I just had the same message on my phone, called it and kept ringing. Very dodgy I would say! Delete the number and switch off your bluetooth!

My mum just got this text and rang it as she is waiting for a parcel. She said the line was just dead! She rang me to tell me and i googled it and ended up here!! How many people are gonna be expecting parcels at this time of the year!?Lots i would say!! What a scam! She is on Orange.

Thankfully I found this website. Would not have called anyway, as what delivery company would ask you to call an international number!?

Just received a text message askig to call the number.  I did without googling first, grrr...

Was an automated option service asking me when i wanted my parcel delivered etc, it gave me a code.  All just to keep me on the line i guess.

So angry, this has to be stopped.  Who do we contact?

Got a text with the large parcel garbage. Deleted the text after seeing these comments...I now realise the text message came from a mobile number. The best thing to do is to report the mobule numbers to the police.

Just rang orange about it to see what it may be (i didnt ring the number luckily) and they said they cant do a thing...which is pretty helpful.

I have called this number back twice now - driving me mad as I am also waiting for an international parcel to be delivered.  I received the same text as above and I have spent about 10 minutes following the automated service.  Can't wait for my phone bill now!?!?

This is a scam, I received a text from +447887846384: "!!URGENT!! Large Parcel Awaiting Delivery Please Call Now On +23222270680 For Delivery Tomorrow International Parcel Deliveries". I am not expecting any delivery like all the messages I have seen on this site.

The number: +447887846384 is a vodafone number, so should be trace to the operator and the appropriate action taken.

Had a text - Urgent - Ring 23222270680 re a parcel delivery. It came via a mobile number - 07909 644383. Sent a text back asking sender to identify themselves. I wait to see if the phone rings. Reading all the comments about the number, I stand a better chance of going to the moon for Christmas. Would the kind hearted sole who gets a kick out of

I received the same message at about 13:00 hrs today 15th Nov. I am waiting for an international DHL delivery. It so happens there's a company called International Parcel Deliveries on the web which have links to DHL. I then assumed this was a third party working for DHL.
I called the number and got the automated system.
This scam has really p*ssed me off as I install telecom systems so should have spotted this as a scam. If I wasn't waiting for the parcel I would of ignored the message. I was too keen to get my items!!!

Does any one know how much this will cost for a BT land line?
