I, also, got the exact stories for a period of 6 weeks via email and several telephone calls  - what a sicko!  Never asked for $$. However, when he was in "Dubai" he asked for some personal info, that I got suspicious about and questioned him -- never to hear from him again!

I did not reach the point wherein we've talked over the phone. I am used to internet dating sites (as I met my late husband through one), so I found the emails really odd as they never responded to my questions. However, since he is Italian (i speak Italian fluently), I found him intriguing. So I gave him my phone number/s and we set a date and time for the call. He stood me up and that's when I got confirmed that he is a fake. I searched his name on google and saw that his profile is also on other internet dating sites (with a different age). I still wanted him to call just to catch him in his lies as his profile says he speaks fluent english, italian and spanish. Well, I speak all three languages and also some German (since he says he studied in Germany). I was planning to switch from one language to the next to catch him but what's the point of that?

I really hope we could put a stop to this scam as only those who have been burnt will start checking and by that time it will be too late.

I guess we will be having a party at the airport, because I was also led to believe that I was to meet him then ( Michael Fingern Sisi)

Same here, the name used is Adalbert Romano, email address is a hotmail account, phone number given and used are: 940-603-9900, or 940-603-9000. Same MO as all the emails here. same sob story, same style. He has his profile and pic also on Badoo. This group has to be stopped.

so I talked to our local FBI and told them that this guy said he would call me and email me. They took my information and said since I lost less than $212,000, I didn't meet their threshold for investigation. they didn't even want the account information or  documentation that I have. I am disappointed that I allowed myself to get caught up in this scam, but I am downright angry at the way the FBI is writing off this active campaign to victimize vulnerable women. I am sure the thieves know the FBI limit and keep just under it. BTW, he called me this morning. Said they are still having trouble releasing my funds and needs more cash....argggggg....

I've been communicating with guy since March 10th, met through Match.com using the name Tonio Fingern Vassi.  Very smooth, beautiful love letters and I've been reading same ones on this site.  What a jerk.  Had a major deal in Dubai needed me to be his representative.  Gave him my name and address now having stocks issued in my name.  Found out just in time before he asked for money, though I don't think I would have sent it.  My gut has been telling me it was to good to be true and sure enough it is.  I have all his email and pictures he sent me though I don't know what good they would do anyone.

Tonio has been sending the same to me.  Has anyone reported him and who do you report to.  This is an International scam.  Let's catch him

Same story just different name he used . He even got me a ring from a man in Dubai  he was asking me to marry him. He was going to buy me a big home we were to open a business together. I have been talking with him , emails,  phone conversations for close to two months. I have printed out every letter he has written, I could write a book. So sad we can't put him away. I am also upset with Match.com I believe they are at fault I plan on calling them Monday. Has anyone got  ahold of Vanguard

We have reported him to the FBI and the police.  I am calling Vanguard on Monday.  All the papers look legitimate, seals, Vanguard stationary.  I think there is a group set up, and they send letters to as many as they can to find the right one.  I would like to write to you at you email addresses and try to put something together on this man.  He went by Tonio his wife died 10 years ago and during the time he was communicating his mother died in Italy.  He went to Dubai for a vanguard 11 million dollar deal.  Sound familiar.  He did get some money from my sister,  I wish she had seen this site.  We must make women aware and catch these criminals
