- NK replies to BJHThis moron is now running his game on me. I have the exact same email you posted. Your post here has saved me in many ways. Thanks so much!
- LM replies to BJH| 1 replyI have the Italian story---same lies. I have all his emails, pictures, log in info to Credit Suisse Union, etc. etc. He called me on the same number as you.
I have contacted a DA in the state of New Mexico, where his match.com profile originated for me. Also will be filing a report to the FBI white collar crime division today. Is there anything further from the FBI? Did they contact you? I am hunting for this guy and I'm plenty well connected in the state because of my work. Where or with whom did you contact Vanguard International. I will contact the same person.
Please if you have anything further to share that would add to this case as I submit my report, contact me at lindam505@earthlink.net Thank you and may we bring him to justice. - LM replies to juanyThis is absolutely the SAME person. He is using a new name, but the same story line. DON'T BELIEVE HIM.
- LM replies to Baby LoveGood that you're in contact with him. I'm filing a report with the FBI later today. Have spoken with DA in state of New Mexico where he originated for me. It's the same guy believe me. What good will pictures do, when he doesn't use the same names, numbers, or emails. The pix could be anybody. Mine was of an attractive tall fellow with a beautiful daughter, who looks a lot like him except with blond hair. Sound familiar?
- LM replies to foolish MeI was instructed to go to the same FBI website to file the report, but if so many people have reported him and nothing has happened, I may have another way to get some response. Any word from UK site?
LM - MJ replies to Debbie| 3 repliesI got the story about his son and father killed in an accident 10 years ago along with loosing his wife to cancer. He used the Texas # 940-603-9900. The long loving letters made me very suspicious, so I asked where he work and googled Alalbert Romano to find you ladies. Thank-you for post this to confirm. After the googling his name he came up on baboo living in Kansas. He had used Louisville, KY with me. How can we get the word out to help stop this???
Thank-you!
MJ - Debbie replies to MJ| 2 repliesHere's the thing, ladies! This is not one person, it is an organization of people in Nigeria. If everyone submitted the pictures of their man, none of them would match. They make a few dollars a day to send out these emails. They send the right one on the right day. Ever noticed, they never call you by name in the email? Or that they never comment on an email you sent them, unless you really press them on it? When you talk to them on the phone, is that an Italian/German accent or African! They work in the back roon of an internet cafe' and have hundreds of computers going at a time! I'm working with a woman in DC with local TV stations and the DA. They are saying it's almost impossible to catch them because they just change a few numbers, names, email addresses and they're different people! Now, we need to find a way to educate as many people as possible so they don't fall for this scam like we all did. I was actually going to borrow the money!!!!!! Thank goodness I found this site the day before!

- Steve C replies to youngatheartginOf course it's a scam! Avoid like the plague!
- DebbieHere is a very helpful website. You can look at pictures of people that have had their pictures stolen and used in these scams. You can post pictures of your scammer. Romancescams.org
Read everything there! You will learn a lot. You can tell your story! - Debbie replies to DebbieRomancescams.org
Go there, post pictures, give email addresses. Read and learn!!! - cautiousbutscammedtoo replies to BJH| 2 repliesThe exact same info was emailed to me from Match.com from Tonio Fingern Vassi. Emailed for the last two weeks and received same and similar emails as you. He is definitely a skunk and needs to be caught. Have not had money requested, but always says he is going to call and something happens. Now his mum is in hospital in Italy. Son and father were killed in car wreck in Fresno, CA he says. Gives daughters name, dead wife's name as Diana. Blahblahblah almost verbatim emails as listed in this site. Said he lives in Hammond, LA went to Henrietta, TX and Dallas for Vanguard International Financial Consultant Manager then sent to Kent, England now to Italy to see sick mum and red flags started going up for me. Just got new phone and I am wondering why not before now. He was very amusing and I also kept asking what if it is real? It could be possible. But after talking to my bestie I decided to do more research and very glad that I did.
- cautiousbutscammedtooagain replies to cautiousbutscammedtoo| 1 replyHe registered on match.com as NEWRIDES150. The phone number he gave me Sunday is

toniofv@vanguardinvestment-plc.com - Stunned| 6 repliesLadies, i have a friend that is corresponding/phoning with Nick DIego. Exact same stories...but of course adjusted for the timeline of his mother's unfortunate (timely???) death. She is deaf to warnings.

- Nancy replies to Linda| 1 replyTonio Fingern Vassi has been sending me the same exact emails
For over 2 weeks
Nancy - Kris| 1 replyAdalbert Ramono is the name he used with my mom. Same story...match.com, vanguard investor, mother died, quit job, needed $ 28,600. Low life scums. Let us know how we can help.
- alittleluck replies to DebbieCall myself that because I feel a little lucky. All that this person (Nick Marino in my emails) wrote was flattering but that's how they get us to fall for their schemes. He hasn't asked me for money, yet.
Any way just letting you know that I emailed you pictures that he sent me. My email is countryatheart@lycos.com The last message he sent me is also in my email.
Email me back and let me know how everything is going.
Best wishes!! - alittleluck replies to Stunned| 5 repliesIf I send you copies of my emails from "Nick Marino" to show her that I got the same letters as her, would that help?
- kris| 18 repliesOMG-- this has just happened to me. tonio f. vassi, vanguard investments. uk.This guy wrote me everyday for the past two weeks. Exactly the same e-mails. He called me once. What a laugh--I have only myself to blame. I am newly widowed and was lonely. My friends suggested match.com. I will never use a dating site again. I will only meet through friends. Fortunately I found out. God takes good care of me. I would never send a stranger money. How can someone sleep at night doing this to innocent people. God will take care of him. I have three pictures I can share if anyone wants to do a criminal investigation. I have been curious as to why he only called once when his e-mails were so profound with love. What should I do next to get rid of this contact?
