I got this exact email in 2011. I think that he has just changed his name . I have been in touch with him lately. But the company was Magellan international investment.

I received the same letter and have been corresponding since last October,2014. I have pictures he sent. Also had his daughter writing to me. I got very suspicious and sent him a letter. Also found same person on male-scammers web site with same phone numbers. The name he used with me Fillippo Andrea Rosario. I plan to report to the FBI or another crime site that I previously saw on this site.

I received the same letter - I was scammed too.  I would love to catch this guy. The name he used with me was Fillippo Andrea Rosario. He sent me a copy of his passport. If this is the same man he needs to be stopped.

This guy really gets around.  He found me on Match.com and almost word for word his emails are practically direct quotes from what I'm reading here.  He tells me his name is Lucci Verrati, lives in Seattle with phone number 904-604-2578.  Father and only son died in same auto accident, mother moved back to Italy and lives with her sister and daughter in Italy also attending aeronautical school to become a pilot.  I being very skeptical have not yet met him nor will I now and I also will block him from calling me.  Thank you for these posts.  All of you.  We need to protect ourselves.  He provided a picture of him alone and one with his daughter.  Definitely the same schmuck.  Thank you all again.

He found me on Match.com.  Said his name was Lucci Verrati and lives in Seattle.  Story he tells is that wife died 10 years ago and only son was killed in an auto accident along with his father.  Mother supposedly moved back to Italy after the accident.  Daughter lives there also and going to school to become a pilot.  This guy preys on single women with emails professing his loneliness since wife died and wanting to find love again.  Daughter signed him up on Match.com.  Watch out ladies.  Beware of this slick SOB and if he asks for your phone number, address or wants to help you invest your savings tell him nothing and cease all communication.

His writings were such [***] I knew that he wasn't real. I told him I wouldn't give him my phone number and that I thought he was scamming me so I stopped hearing from him

I just got this identical email from him!!!  The broken English always gets my attention.  What a POS!  And there are so many out there.  Very sad.  I've only been on Match a short time and have had at least 2 of these guys.  Lucci Verrati and I can't find the other guy's name.  I must have deleted it.  Thanks to everyone for these posts!  This is so helpful.

Wish there was a way to put these guys out of business!  I currently have one more talking to me and I am just waiting for him to hang himself. Ladies BEWARE and pay attention to anything unusual.

Yes, He (they are still at it)  Met "Steve Davis" in Nov 2014 & same business info but from Shell Investment in Kent, UK. You are correct, after the trip to Dubai he wants to put shares in my name as his representative. On Christmas Eve (no less) got the hit from him for $28,600.00 to wire out so finds could be put in my name. Did not send the $$.          This is more than one person. It is a crime ring in Nigeria.  All they do is change names & e mails. Did research & don't believe that Match.com is not aware of problem. MANY woman have gotten catfished on Match.com. But this ring uses any website available.  I will never use dating website again.    Sincere sympathy to all who got their hearts broken by a Phantom!

I met a man on cuppid.com. He had his profile picture and information hacked. He has    me money  . I believe that this is only on

One man and he hacked my now husband's email. He is wanted by the FBI but he changes names and emails frequently and they have not been able to catch him yet. He is stealing my husband emails and he has changed his email address.

I got the exact same email.  I always said if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably isn't.  Been emailing him for about 6 weeks.  Only came across this site, because I had googled his moms obituary.  I wanted to know if she existed.  I have been suspicious about him.  Goes by the name of Robert Marco, and like you, was his last day on match, so needed an email to reply too.  Such a disgusting snake.  Email me at jjustice49@yahoo.com

I did not do it.  but I did sent 11,000.  he told me his name was Martino Dutch Sartino..with the same information that his wife died and he wAS MARRIED  for 26 yrs.  he asked me for my email address because it was his last day on the site   I s there anything I can do with the money that I did send.  he was quite a romantic lover.  he told me he did a lot of traveling. And flys on KLM of which he has an account with them.  He does have a daughter name Angela.  Does she know what her father is doing to get money from us women. I feel so sorry for him..thee same thing she gave me her blessing before died also. and to stop traveling so much and spend time with me.

I contacted my accountant about falling prey to the scam and was informed that the funds may be declared on one's tax returns as "loss by theft."  Don't know if this is factual or not.  I have had no response from the FBI,  Likely inundated with reports from us!  What bothers me is that the IRS is informed of monetary transfers over $10,000.  The authorities, such as they are, surely have all the information on these twisted people (?), "investment companies" and bank accounts to block the transfers.
