- VickiRae44 replies to dicas| 4 repliesDon't bother with match.com, I sent them an update on a scammer and they didn't do anything. I even gave them the new id he was using. As long as they have your money, they don't really care. I switched to cupid.com, met two scammers, now on seniors meeting seniors and met a nice man who lives about 30 miles away. There are some nice men out there, but the scammers are certainly prolific too. Good luck everyone.
- James replies to VickiRae44No disrespect to you Vicki or anyone else on here but going on the amount blood suckers that seem to hover in the shadows of these dating sites, would it not be possible, if you are able, to join a local club or get yourself out into the community and meet decent people. Try to get out there with friends, see and be seen if you can, and I am sure pretty soon you will meet some nice people. Some of us are out there but will never use those sites. Regards et bon chance.
- James replies to VickiRae44| 2 repliesI see you have met a nice man. Good luck ,hope it works out better for you. Regards
- VickiRae44 replies to James| 1 replyThank you James. I met my husband who is in heaven through a dating club and we were together for 25 years. I live in a rural community and it's difficult to find single men so tried the on-line sites. Before I met the nice man I am seeing, another younger man contacted me and after about six weeks, told me his son was in a hit and run bicycle/cat accident and was in a coma. He was out of the country working and did not have a power of attorney with the boy's care giver and needed $4500 to hire a lawyer. This jerk even sent me accident photo and one of young boy on doctor's table with huge gash in the back of his head, not bad for a child in a coma. When I didn't send any money, he dropped me right away. So the schemes are getting more dangerous.
- anonymous replies to jeanniem2015| 1 replyOMG I went to check his number on google, and I found this post. Everything is exactly the same. He also scammed me. I also met him on ok cupid. He told me he was Brian Lynn Umstead, and he was toned, and was looking to get married. We have been communicating for 5 mths. I had been texting him all day before Thanksgiving 2015. and did not hear any word from him, as we had been texting back and forth for 5 mths. on this number 248-403-8279. He claimed he was going to fly to the states to be with me before Thanksgiving 2015. When he finally did contact me, I had been sending him texts all day. He claimed the network was down, So I called the phone and it rang and there was a lady's voice on the voicemail. So there was nothing wrong with the network. The emails and stories were exactly the same We were texting on that number. He told me he was in Kent, as well, and worked for Premiere Financial. It is suppose to be an international company out of Kent. He told me he was going to retire so he could get his money and come home to the states and buy us a house. He also said he was going to buy me a car. I was so taken by him. I am still reeling. He claimed his mother passed away when he was in Kent, and he had to fly to Italy to make arrangements for her funeral. He also told me he had a daughter that lived with her grandmother, (his mother) who was also was in Italy He also told me he had duel citizenship with Italy and the US, But, since she passed away, I don't know where she is. He claimed he had a sick aunt and she was going to give him money to fly home to the states. But , since she was sick, she could only give him a little at a time.He kept giving me excuses as to why he hadn't been able to fly yet.. and kept using that for an excuse. He told me he had to get all the paperwork done for Premiere for leaving since he was retiring.. He said he wanted to start his own consulting business. So I guess this is a continuing saga, as me being his latest victim. That is the exact same name and email he used with me. brianumstead2015@yahoo.com
I went on the yahoo messenger and threw this up in his face and told him, that I found out who he is , and gave him a piece of my mind. He kept denying it of course, and claimed someone stole his identity, I also told him about his other number too, and I listed it on the messenger, I also gave him his other number too 903-270-1164 Then he told me he didn't want to talk about it. I figured he is just stringing me along so he can scam me too, So I knew I had him when he said he did not want to talk about it. I also asked him if it was true, and of course he told me someone stole his identity, and he denied it and told me it wasn't true. I also told him he told me he was from NV, and I said if you are from NV then why do you have a Pontiac , MI phone number. Then he told me another lie, and said he was not from NV. But we know better don't we. he now knows I know. I just do not understand why he wants to do this, The only advice I can give is if someone tells you their name pay on one of those websites and get him checked out. It will be well worth it. I was on another one, Zoosk, and this guy told me he was from North Carolina, and then he wrote me with an email saying australia something. I also wrote him a seething letter, and told him, he needed to stop scamming everybody saying he was from North Carolina when he wasn't LOL. I cannot put my name on this post. But, I did one better. I sent him the link, with all this info on it. I thought about not posting this, but I changed my mind.
If he does read the link, he will see that I posted this. You have been found out, Brian.Your secret is out. - James replies to VickiRae44Oh Vicki,Vicki, I can see from your reply why you were nearly duped. In the space of your reply I now know you are a widow living in a small ,possibly slightly isolated community, and from the fact that you were married for over 25 years to your late husband, sorry to hear that by the way, you joined a Seniors dating site . I can reasonably guess your age. The fact that you gave out so much information to me , a complete stranger, leaves you wide open to these lowlife scammers. These swines are relying on lonely and vulnerable women to open up to them. I am glad you didn't get duped by this scammer but please be careful how much you give of yourself, if you gave this much info in one reply how much are you revealing over a period of time.
My Mother said " Never bare your soul 'til you can see the look in their eyes" . As my previous post said kind regards for the future and I wish all your wishes come true.
Ps I will not be posting again. - not so smart| 1 replyDifferent number, same crap. 9406184040
Its all the same....he is scamming people left and right....and I have TOO filed an FBI report...I really encourage you to do the same. I am going to include a list of all of the names he has used.....maybe 1-15 names. He needs to pay for what he has done. If you even remotely suspect anything,......dump this jerk now. FBI is interested as they think he is a terrorist affiliate trying to raise money for the murderers. They are more interested now after the Paris shootings. PLEASE file an
FBI report. http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx and you can also go to your local office.- Caller: Maximo Fidelio
- Also Taken replies to not so smartYou can add Martino Dutch Santino to your list. Story is the same, mother, wife, daughter, son and father, oh and don't forget the auntie, all the same. Senior fund manager for Capital international investment. Thank you for the FBI link I will file a report.
- Intheknow| 1 replyPeople, people. This is not one guy. It's a group of scammers out of Nigeria. It's a business which makes its living out of taking money from gullible people. They also have a branch of women scamming lonely men. They're on many dating sites. It's pathetic.
- not so smart replies to IntheknowI think most of us realize this and if people do not report this to FBI, they will not be able to track this back to Nigerian scammers who most likely use this money for terrorism. Its a vicious and terrible cycle. I agree that it is pathetic but its not enough.
- Southern lady| 1 replyI think I have the same guy only now he has a new name Gianni Dante and his daughter is still studying airplanes and he flys from Texas to the uk and he went to Italy to check on his sick momma who is 88 and not healthy. His son died with his dad. And so far he hasn't ask for money yet. Won't do him any good as I don't send money to anyone.

- Ken replies to Southern ladyRight Ladies, these guys have been really busy today. Type these numbers into the search bar and see the results. Same scam ,different names. 92466501. 00447024026539. Little comfort in knowing it wasn't just you ,these guys are organised.
- Dicas replies to StephHello,
Please tell your Mom that indeed this man is a scammer. He contacted me via Match.com Told me the story that his wife died of cancer and that his Father and son were killed in auto accident, all in the first email. He asked me to email him on his erosional site because he was getting off match that very same day. He claims to be an Investment banker and when you google him he comes up only on Linkedin. Here is the catch. I did a reverse image scan on google and found that he uses at least a dozen different names. The story is the same, but he'll ultimately ask you for money to invest. Of course I never sent any money, but I kept all his emails and files a complaint with the FBI. It appears that his person is also being tracked by INTERPOL. THey believehe is part of a Nigerian scam using someone else's picture.. The name he used with me is Harrison Sabistino.
Tell your Mother to RUN the other way and stop communicating with him.Hope this helps. - Dicas replies to anonymousGood for you. I reported him to the FBI because he has apparently scammed a lot of women out of large sums of money. He is also wanter by INTERPOL

- Carolyn67replies to Vicki & Kalki replies to Vicki1944| 17 repliesI have had my dealings with John Diaz from Reno contractor. He states he lives in Carson City, Nevada. He con me out of 38,000 dollars. I did not know there were scammers out there. I to met him on match.com thru a woman named Kim Walters says she worked for John in his PR Dept. Son in college in Gainesville, Fl. named Mario. Said, his wife died 7 years ago. He convinced me he loved me. I was lonely/widowed and believed. Said he had a job in Africa. To this day he tells me he is trying to get home to be with me. HAHA. I know he is a real scammer. When I called him that he acted like I called him something really dirty and he is dirty. He scammed my friend in San Antonio,Texas out of $200,000.00. She is also widowed. He claimed he would marry us. He really has a script for his so called clients. He makes your believe him, right down to being sick. At present time he claims to be in Africa living with a Mrs. Henshaw and her husband is a doctor. I personally think she is part of the setup. John even claimed he had been arrested to get money to be released. Claimed he needed money to pay for taxes before he could leave the country to come home to me and probably 50 other women. Not bad wages? huh? There should be criminal arrest for these scammers. Who knows if his wife is died. I know his son was calling the lady in Texas and he told her his mother was dead. Is he part of the scam? Is daddy got him in training? I don't believe he is still in Africa. I think he has been sitting at home making his money on innocent women. He has stopped calling me as of yesterday. I have to file bankruptcy. He knows this!!
- VickiRae44 replies to Carolyn67replies to Vicki & Kalki| 14 repliesI have let all my on-dating accounts expire as it's just too emotionally draining. As soon as one started with the money, as did John Diaz, then I was done. I met a nice man about four months ago who lives about 40 min away and we have met, talk on the phone, and have dates. We met through an on-line dating site for seniors, and after a year of wading through the scum bags, Ralph has been a breath of fresh air. I don't know yet if he's "the one", but I have found a nice friend. So, ladies, don't give up, just be careful.
- Linda hollisHe is now going by the name Giovanni m Larosa . His mother died in Italy just had beried her. Works for easy way international investment.
Same guy!!!!
