Called on Monday December 6th, 2010 at 2:55pm--did not leave a message

Just called me
i didn't pick up and they left no message

Heard the first words only. Can't stand these machines. Hung up... ;-)

I did not answer my cell phone. I checked  the number for the missed call and it was 289-695-9898
A reverse number check on Canada 411 shows it as UNLISTED number, likely from  a land line orginating in Thornhill ON.

I don't know HOW they obtained my cell number, unless it was randomly dialed.

Just got a call on my cell from this number.  Same as all the others.  Because I'm a valued Bell canada customer (which I'm not), press 1 for prize.  I hung upé

called my cell but I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer it.  I called back using call block but it was not in service.  People have too much time on their hands for the love of Pete.

Said to press 1 because I was a special bell customer and that I was a winner!!!. Wasn't born yesterday.

Same here. Bell Canada preferred customer. Won a prize, to claim press 1.
I hung up and googled this post.

Got a call today from them.  Automated system said I am a preferred cutomer of Bell Canada and to press #1 to claim my prize.  I pressed 1 and someone came on the line asking if I had a credit card.  then they hung up on me.

Just got a call from 2896959898.... assuming its a scam from this post. Luckily I didn't answer or call back, thanks guys

Just received a call from this number, it says "Because you are special Bell customer, you are eligiable to receive a free gift - Press 1".

ça dit Bell canada, tu as gagné un prix spécial, pèse 1, j'ai raccrocher, c de la marde ce numéro

Bah, I was so busy at work I pressed "1" not thinking it was a scam. Called bell mobility to flag it and ensure I dont get any mad charges. Winter & Prank Calls. Too much.  I think they have this guy's address now.

They called me once at work 12/2 and once on my cell 12/6 both were automated systems:

1. Because you are an Air Canada customer...YOU'VE WON!

2. Because you are a Bell customer...YOU'VE WON!

Karmic debt is high for phone scammers, I'm quite sure...

they called claiming they were from Bell Canada and said I had qualified to win a trip to Cancun. He wanted crdit card info. Would not disclose who they were when I asked his name & the company name he hung up

I also I JUST got the call from this number.
It said "because your a BellCanada customer you have won a special prize. Press 1 to accept"

I hung up instead.

There has been a lot of these garbage phone calls the past couple of months.

I got A call from them today at about 1:05pm while i was in the middle of class, I called back and was told that the number was not in service :S
