This was a nice fella (sounded foreign), that simply asked very general questions about my son's recent visit to our local clinic.  I only answered the questions, b/c they had NOTHING to do with my son - only about the quality of care we received when we were there on a particular visit.  He asked me to rate different items on a scale of 1 to 10, etc. like how long we had to wait, how well the staff communicated with us, etc.

I've been receiving calls from this number but I dont answer and they never leave a message.  It must be some kind of scam

Caller asked to speak with my wife and would not identify herself.  When I said my wife was eating dinner, she said she'd call back.  ¶Thanks tall-1 for your Feb.28 post above; I will tell their next caller to put us on their no-call list and advise I will report them to the FTC if they do not.

This is Healthstream research Inc.Conducting survey for quality of service for hospitals,doctors,etc. If you do not wish to be bothered by these or other telemarketers.Goggle TCPA (telephone consumer protection act of 1995)Here you can read the law and decide if they (telemarketer) are in violation of the law.Then go to fcc.gov this is the federal comunications commission web site, here you can file a complaint against telemarketers.

Healthstream called me back already today. Asked them to put me on their do not call list! I was told they could not do that. Asked to speak to a supervisor as they were in violation of the TCPA and she hung up.The TCPA act of 1991 not 1995 as I stated in my earlier comment. Also you can go to code of federal regulations for entire law about telemarketing laws.

This is the second time I've gotten a call...annoying...I don't answer since I don't recognize the number, they never leave a message! Thanks to this site I don't have to wonder who's calling!

Received call from a "John".  Caller ID said HEALTHSTREAM RE (suppose research offices)  Said he was calling on behalf of our local hospital. Couldn't talk, and he said he'd call back.

I keep getting these calls and they wont go away!!! HELP!

Very interesting to read about the company I work for Healthstream Reasearch. This is a wonderful company to work for and we are doing research that is required by law for the hospitals we represent. We have a lot of interviewers and unfortunately not everyone of them is perfect. They are not allowed to leave messages on answering machines. We can't always identify cell phone but won't do a survey on a cell phone unless the respondent gives us permission. We don't have to maintain a do-not-call list since we are calling on behalf of someone the respondent has a relationship with, but we do have a do-not-call list. Unfortunately it is limited to each health care experience. We won't ask any personal questions, just opinions and questions about the quality of care you received. If you don't want to do the survey, just say you don't want to participate. You can't answer for your spouse or your roommate, it has to be the person we are calling. We do use an auto dialer but it is set so there is always someone available to handle the call before it dials. Our founders vision was to improve the way health care is delivered in America and I am proud to be working for this company.

This number keeps calling our house as well. It takes them a minute to start talking so we just hang up. We get all kinds of "unknown" calls throughout the day, it's quite annoying.

I got a call for my son who is in the hospital from a heart attack. The caller ID said Laurel         MD when I answered they asked for my son when I told them he was in the hospital the man hung up.

Have received calls from this number at least 4 X now. Since Caller ID shows it's from MD I don't respond but love to put a stop to it. There ought to be a "law"! agains these pesky intruders.

I wouldn't mind talking to them if they could leave a message explaining a little bit about what/who they are.  It wouldn't be hard to say "My name is _____ and I'm with Healthstream Research and wanted to ask some questions about your last experience at the hospital."  I would feel much more comfortable answering the phone the next time they called!

I hate telemarketers, Filed with the FCC, wait and see if that helps.

I also received a call from this number today. They are very rude and annoying. Thanks for the info Phone Man. I will definitely look into this.
