They should do their hospital surveys by mail and if by phone then leave a message. Not just hang up. Because I won't answer phone calls from numbers I do not recognize.

I answered on the third ring, and they had already hung up.  Caller ID gave the number and Laurel, MD under the number.  No message.

I missed the call and they left no message, hence my online search to determine who it was.  Please read Andy's comments dated October 27, 2008.  Since I work for a local Healthcare organization, I now understand what this was, and I will answer the next time they call.  I was in one of my own hospitals in the last month so I'm sure that's what it's about.

Received two calls from this number with no message left in my vm.
I called the number back and it said that the number is now disconnected?

Got a cell call anon and plugged in the number to google and it brought me here.  What a cool site.  I bookmarked it.  No answer for me on this one.  Cool.

They have called repeatedly for 2 weeks on my cell phone.
I finally took a chance and answered it, couldn't pronounce my name. I said it wasn't me and hung up....she called right back!! annoying to say the least

4th call today on my cell, told them again to take my number off the call list and she stated she couldn't do that because of my PPO ins plan, after talking to my agent they said to report the number and name to FTC. I DID.  You should do the same

Call came to Kansas from Laurel, Maryland at 14:48 on 2-9-09. It was not answered and no message left. As others have pointed out, this is HealthStream Re (Research?) that take surveys of people who have recently been in the hospital.

In fairness, on one of the sites there was a post from a lady named Carol who alleged to be employed by Health Streem. Here were her comments:

"Your personal medical information is not shared with this company. Only your phone number and the fact that you visited the facility. We ask about the quality of the care you received, not about your health. We are only allowed to call 5 times, not allowed to leave messages because the wrong person might discover you had a health care experience. We can only talk to the person who had the experience which means your spouse or roommate can't answer for you. We are doing legitimate research for hospitals that is required by law. We use an auto dialer but it is set so there is always a person available to receive the call. We have a do-not-call list but it is limited to that one health care experience because we don't share info from client to client. Great company to work for."

Called Cellphone, didn't answer, no message, googled number, found this site! I did have an MRI done at a hospital 2 weeks ago, must be from that.

Pitt County Memorial Regional Hospital, Greenville, North Carolina - Patient Care Services confirmed that they DO use Healthstream Research to do surveys. I advised that this was not a good way to do their surveys in today's society. Especially since I had received a potential scam call prior. (480-555-0123 See google of this number). Way too much information requested. They agreed and responded they will discuss this matter with their Administration and rethink their policy. Sorry HEALTHSTREAM.

they said they were calling me b/c i was recently seen in a hospital (which I was0.  They are a survey comapny trying to ask questions about the level of care given.

Continue to receive hang up calls.  Verified this # on caller ID to unknown caller after requesting on one call not to be called again.  Going to give to police dpt for harassment and the BBB and the Do Not Call Hotline.
