Call received 02/06 - knew it was a telemarketer of some sort, just let it ring, of course no message left.

What the hell...there is no "Do Not Call List" Such Bullsh*t.

And if there is no outfit enforcing the so-called list...than why not hire someone to to it.  Sh*t, I need a job.  C'mon...  This nation is falling apart at the seems.  We can't even respect each other anymore.

Wikipedia says that it's an outsource billing, customer service company, formerly a division of AT&T.
They keep calling, but never leave messages and I won't answer their annoying calls

I have started getting calls from the Nebraska Number 402-491-2800 and I am also on the do not call register.

I called 411 and asked for the number of Convergys Knowledge Management Services and they provided me with this number - 402-498-4000. I had no luck getting through to anyone at the Omaha office but found the HQ number at http://www.convergys.com/vision/ceo-message.php (1 513-723-700). I asked to speak to CEO Mr. Dougherty. I was passed through to a very nice lady who admitted it had been an issue. I also said that I am sure Mr. Dougherty would not appreciate calls from weird telemarketing companies and I explained that being a CEO myself I didn't appreciate it either. She was going to look into having my details removed.

I recommend anyone having this issue call Convergys and do the same. if they get inundated with annoying calls from us, maybe they'll put a stop to it.

Got a missed call last week from this number. They got me tonight.

In brief: really creepy robotic woman's voice claiming to be from MSRI who just blabbered on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about a pharmaceutical survery and wanted to ask who in my family "purchases the prescriptions".  I hung up immediately.

I'm not even upset about the Do Not Call violation. I just don't want to hear that creepy voice every again!

Receive calls from that number every once in a while, mostly on weekends.  We screen and get no message on v-mail.  Our number is on "do not call" list.

This number called my cell phone last night (Sun.) at 7:51 pm MST, no message left. I was surprised to find all these comments about this same situation from so many people when I googled the number. I'll be aware to not answer it, or certainly not give them any personal info, if (when) they call back. They just sound fishy.

One more thing, ironically enough, just on Fri. (2 days prior) I signed up for the Do Not Call list for my cell, perhaps this company is getting the number from that database.

I answered this call this evening around 6:30pm EST. The woman claimed to be from Citibank regarding a customer satisfaction survey. When I told her that I never called on the day she said I did, she said I didn't have to do the survey.

I never answer from out of province numbers and this one never leaves a message. I wish we in Canada could get on the US do not call registry because all my unsolicited calls come from the US.

I just received a call from this number. No message was left.  Very strange.  Someone mentioned Citi Bank, I just cancelled an account with them but they are still calling daily but they always leave a message.

Just got a call from this number: ignored it. I hope they're not too persistent.

Companies can ignore the Do Not Call list for several reasons:

    1) Political Contributions (politicians depend on those, so they gave them a free pass).
    2) Telephone Polls and Surveys (same reason as #1)
    3) Companies that can claim you have a "business relationship" with them. Of course few people do business with _this_ company; but if they were hired by some company that you do have a relationship with, then I guess that counts. Though how can you tell without answering?

Obviously Convergys is not making all its calls from a single line, so they must be "fixing" the Caller ID number, which normally you would not want someone to do. But if they didn't do that, then a web site like this wouldn't work as well, because everyone would be getting calls from different numbers. And it's probably (hopefully!) illegal to put their client's name in there (like CitiBank, Goodyear, etc.) so they are stuck putting this one number in there, which at least makes it easy to ignore.

I received a call from this number as well, and I have a thought. A machine to call random numbers non-stop where the caller has very little or no real knowledge of you. Maybe your name, but then that is easily found if your phone is registered in your name. Citibank is one of the largest credit companies. If the caller monitors your response to questions about a Citibank account they can find out it you have one. And if so then it goes on file. On file where you ask, Scientology? I don't know this as fact, but judging by the multiple pages, on multiple sites that whoever is doing this is making a lot of people upset. And to what purpose drives this 402-481-2800 to call everyone? I doubt that Citibank would anger so many people just to get customer feedback. I don't own a Citibank account, and I don't owe anyone money. The caller doesn't know anything more than my phone number and my name. DO NOT give out ANY information to this caller. DO NOT confirm or deny and connection to Citibank. Your best option is to not answer the phone. If you feel the need to attempt to try and get them to stop calling, the only info you need to give them is your phone number, that they already know. Do not even confirm your identity.

Received this call on my cell phone @ 7:45 PM CST.  I did not answer the call since I did not recognize the phone number on the caller ID.  They did not leave a message.  When I called the number, I got a recording that said they were a marketing research firm.  Lately I have been giving my cell phone number as a daytime contact number when I make purchases online.  Maybe I'll stop doing that since that is probably how this firm got my cell phone number.  (And yes, I have put my cell phone number on the "do not call" list).
