I keep getting calls from this number and they don't

416-233-0047 keeps calling and not leaving messages.  I don't answer all in coming calls.

416 233 0047 is Market Probe Canada like all the calls they call several times but hang up when you answer fed up with several calls a week. This is NO survey for RBC its SCAM SCAM call their office 416 233 1555 report to police and telephone office.

You guys crack me up... I have an unlisted #... where did they get it?? for real? a, it prob is a survey company, and if you call the bank, no, they won't know about it, it's their corporate office that sponsors them, not the branch.  This also means they got your number FROM THE BANK! 2nd, if it is a scam or any other type of general survey and they happen to call you, it's cuz they use a computer dialer... it just goes thru a series of numbers, over and over.... 1111...1112....1113....1114.... get it? so your unlisted number means nothing when it comes to that.  get a clue.  all an unlisted number means is if they attempt to call 411 and ask for your phone number by name, it's not found.  nothing more.

I got a call just now, same thing, saying they were calling on behalf of RBC, wouldn't ask any personal info and that it was just to follow up on customer service. I asked how long the survey would take, he said 5 min. Then he asked if I'd completed a transaction in branch recently, dealing directly with a customer service representative at King and Jarvis branch. I said yes and he thanked me for being a client and on behalf of RBC and hung up. I was only half paying attention when  he called. I would advise you just to hang up if you get a call like this. I never should have even answered his question. My number is also unlisted, so something is weird. I've notified the bank by email that this happened.

Should you wish to not have market probe contact you, you can request your number be removed from the survey list at your local branch.  all clients have a contact preferance section where you can indicate if you want to be contacted from the branch, from the call centre or for surveys.  I recommend you follow up with your branch, they will gladly accomodate.

So what are you supposed to do when you answer and they don't say anything at all and then hang up on you!!

Well first and foremost if the "survey" calls are about customer service they are not representing RBC very well.  My experience so far has been exactly like this..."Hello, hello, hello" no one answers me and then they hang up.  
Secondly, I am on the phone with RBC customer service right now and the person I'm speaking with has no knowledge of "Market Probe Canada".  THIS DOES NOT SOUND LEGITIMATE to me.

Well folks.....i just got off of the phone with an RBC customer service rep and Market Probe Canada does surveys for them....apparently, the reason for the phone calls are about the quality of service that you receive from RBC......in my opinion, Market Probe Canada is doing a VERY lousy job in representing their client.  I have lodged a complaint with RBC and will continue to try and get a hold of someone at Market Probe to lodge a complaint about them as well.....if you want to stop the unprofessional, rude and pointless calls from this company, call RBC customer service and let them know what is going on.....you can reach them at 1-800-royal11  (1-800-769-2511).....the more people that call and lodge complaints about this the better everyone will be.

I share your sentiment....I'm sick of gettin' this same phone call on my fricken cell phone no less. Only thing is I don't answer and they never leave any voicemail. Go buddy....through the other side and stuff the sh** down their f***ing throats.  Have a good one.  D

Fellow called from this number demanding to speak to my wife. Very abusive and hung up when I required he identify himself. Police reprot will be filed.

This number has phoned my house during working hours every so often.  When you try to call the number back, it's obviously busy.  I was being hounded by 1-600-233-1234 for quite some time, so I put my phone directly into voice mail for 24 hours at a time.  These calls have stopped.  I suggest if you have the option, do the same so they cannot reach you.

got a call several times  week on my cell, could it be a skype number.  its annoying..

It's a survey about "Your recent dealing with your RBC branch in (where ever)"
rating how your experience was with them between 1-10.  I ended up actually taking the call last time, and they where cool with removing me from their call list. I had ignored it the first 5 or 6 times. It doesnt seem to be a robo call either, since someone said hello pretty much right after I did. So, if it calls its prolly easier to just ask them to stop calling then ignoring it.. cuz they kept calling for 2 weeks

I have been getting calls all week from this number, I dont know how they got my number !  I have a unlisted number and no one can call using blocked numbers. They never leave a message or never answer when I call back. I will have a mouth full for them when I gets to talk to someone.

J'ai recu un appel hier soir vers les 20h30 pm , un homme voulait parler a ma femme , je lui ai demandé a quelle sujet ? Il ma répond que c'était confidentiel et il connaissait le nom complet de ma femme... Je lui ai demandé comment il avait mon numéro de téléphone cellulaire et comment il connaissais le nom de ma femme puisque qu'elle est au canada que depuis seulement 2 mois et quelle parle même pas francais ni anglais. Je lui ai demandé de me dire pour quelle compagnie il travail actuellement et c'est quoi qui veut a ma femme. Il ne ma jamais donné de réponse seulement que c'est renseignement son confidentiel et que si ma femme ne parle pas francais qu'il n'était plus nécessaire de lui parlé maintenant. Il mentionnait que c'était a propos de service quelle aurait reçu et je lui demandait quelle service vous parlé ? J'attendait d'autres personnes parlé en arrières de lui comme des gens dans une salle qui solicite au téléphone. Ma femme a ouvert un compte dans une succursalle RBC il y a quelques semaines, je vais communiquer avec eux pour savoir comment le nom de ma femme et ces coordonnées sont accessible si facilement c'est pas supposé d'être confidentiel ces renseignements ?????
