didn't recognize number, but picked up anyway. somebody asked for me, I said yes, and they hung up. I just called the above number for market probe canada and told whoever the customer service rep. was to stop messing around. If enough people call, maybe this nonsense will stop.

For the last 2 weeks I received 2 sometimes 3 times a day a call from this number, when I took the phone but did not answer the line was disconnected. Finally yesterday again no answer but when I said hello a man answered asking for me he said that he is calling about a survey. I told him not to call again and now I will wait and see if this number calls again.

Just got a call from them, and they couldn't hear me.  They hung up.

same number. annoying, 10 13am, didnt pick up, they didnt leave a message. phoned them back, nobody picked up... 411.com and it said landline phone from toronto using bell service.

Got a call from that number a few moments ago, asked for my daughter by her formal name(no one else calls her that name) plus she hasn't lived with us for years. Asked if I could take message for her, the young man said no.

I called to place a complaint with RBC.  It's not them but a scam trying to get banking info out of you.  File a complaint like me at www.phonbusters.com (it's a federal government agency).

they just called again and i picked up and the guy on the other end said that he was looking for my boyfriend who is not in and i said so and he said that he was calling about a survey but the i know that not right because my bf never  does surveys ever. so i know it's a fake

always calling me-have called back always busy or no answer. No Id just telephone # shows. Really annoying.They Will not leave voice mail either. I am in Nova Scotia.

That same number called me last night, and asked for my first name only (which was odd). I didn't recognize the number or voice (it was a girl) so I said she had the wrong number, and she hung up. No other calls from them so far ...
But this does sound like a scam. I've been looking it up, and apparantely, they're doing a 'survey for RBC', yet RBC doesn't work with them.

This number has been calling the house now for the past week at around 8pm. They never leave a message, but today they decided to start to leave a message when someone in the back ground made them discontinue the call.... hummmm!

This number called us on Father's Day no message.

We live in Toronto...  called at 11:00 am on a Saturday.  Asked for my wife by her full name...  she is not here, would not leave a message and hung up.

Just lodged a complaint on the DNC list here in Canada...

Constantly calling -- won't take no for an answer!

Second call in two weeks from 1-416-2-0047 requesting information on behalf on RBC. Wanting to inquire about the service I received when I visited by branch recently.  On both occasions I declined the request.  On both occasions I called back when they called to check them out. The first time they answered and immediately replaced receiver and the second time they did not answer at all.  I checked with Royal Bank, they confirmed this number does not belong to them.  They also gave me a security e-mail address to report it, but when I tried that e-mail was for on-line scams only.  At this point I gave up.

They called me and I replayed R.c.m.p investigations can I help you I have not heard back from them since...still smiling.

Just got a call from Adelle at this number. Then my phone just died. Likely a battery problem.

got a call from 416 233 0047.  it is a company called Market Probe Canada (easy to find on the web) and they are infact a company working on behalf of RBC but they are extremely unprofessional and hung up on me when I asked that the number be removed from the calling list and like everyone else they avoided me calling them. After some extensive research on the net I have found this number
416-233-1555 ...call this number to have your number removed from the list and be sure to get the name of the person who takes your request and his/her extension or operator number.
you could also try calling market probe themselves 1.416.487.4144
and asking for the president or the senior vice president. And with a few clicks of the computer it was easy to find the home phone number of the Senior vp !! (not smart on his behalf!)
