This number has called me numerous times. When I finally answered they said they were doing a survey on behalf of RBC. They knew my name and business name. They asked if I was in charge of the banking for my company and then asked when the last time I did a transaction at a branch which was no where near my home. When I told them I have never been to that branch they just hung up on me. So I phoned RBC and they told me that they are in fact affiliated with RBC to do surveys, but then I was given some sorry excuse as to why would they ask me about a different branch. Anyway, don't give them any info, but if you did I don't believe there is much to worry about other than them being annoying and unprofessional.

This phone number was used to call me when I was working, I answered the call and they finished it.
My phone is registered in the no call list, they seem to do not care about it.

Someone from 416-233-0047 called my house. The person they asked for was not home. I asked who was calling and they told me they could not give me that information. Really!!!

They have called for 2 people in my home. 1st person they called for they said it was the Ontario government the second call it was rbc.  

just got a call from  416-233-0047 i did not pick it up there did not leave a message if there do not leave a message i do not phone them back but i will see who phone me by reseach it

Kept getting calls answered once girl sounds like she just rolled out of bed asked for me bymy ex married name and i said i was informed this is a scam she said " oh my f*@$ no were not" and i hung up and blocked them

they're still doing it many years on

This number called me noon today. But I missed. I called back and only heard " this is Plastic Company ...", not very clear as I was walking on the street. Anyway, it seems it's a scam!

Another call today from this number.  We are in Dorval Quebec. Did not answer - left no message.

Thank you for sharing , I found your information useful. I have been getting the call every day as well. When I call back the number it is busy. I saved the number and in Name I put "do not answer"

They have called me many times and hang up when they hear my voice.  Not impressed, this is feeling like harassment.

Ontario, Canada few times, and I didn't answer it and the caller didn't leave me a voicemail so I am not sure who the hell is that, any idea?? Please be careful if seen such number. Just google it first or report it to the authority. Thanks.

Ever since I opened a bank account with RBC I have been getting calls from strange numbers including 416 233-0047. I have been very careful to never give out my phone number for exactly thisd purpose. It is very obvious to me that RBC are selling there clients phone numbers or at trhe very least passing them on. I woould suggest that anyone being bothered by these calls look back  and they will likely be able to trace a connection to RBC. Personally I think it is appauling for a persdonal bank to be acting in this manner. Thye just lost one new customer send them the same message.

I too am constantly getting calls from RBC. Even after asking several times to be put on a "do not call list" How the hell can royal bank get away with this?

me to I open an RBC account and suddenly I am receiving this call, I didn't answer and they don't leave a message. I'm not impress with this harasement. RBC should be asham and if they continue to sell our phone number, one day it will be the beginning of the downfall for RBC because people will be switching there account to other place.

This person keeps calling my hisband number. 5 times a day. Do not give any information. All they want is to order credit cards and still stuff from your account . They are fonny people. They will keep calling u have to change number if they keep doing it. They will select radom numbers online and use your number to call other people.

They said they do survey for RBC.
