I just got the "Dr. Kovac James" email too as a result of advertising my home for rent on Craig's list.  I suspected a scam, googled his name and got this site.  The thing that tipped me off was his written english - "my nine years old daughter"  if you're a doctor from England, you'd use proper grammar.  Also, the made up name . . . James is usually a first name, Kovac a last name.  BEWARE PEOPLE!!  Too bad we have to sift through garbage like this to find a decent renter!

Thank you all for posting -- I have been corresponding with Dr. Paul Morgan asking him for past 3 pay stubs, copy of his medical license and letter of U.S. company confirming his employment here in the U.S.  I doubt now I will get a reply.  Thank you so much from saving me from being scammed!

I just called the cell phone number he has provided -- it is an INVALID NUMBER.

From the U.S. you have to dial 011-441-702-408-1502. I just happen to be ENGLISH and so know what codes you need to dial.

There is no 1 between the 44 UK Country Code and the 7 as it is a Mobile (Cell) number.

Chris Fraser.  He wrote me exactly the same letter and showed an interest on my condo which is listed on Craiglist.  He refused to sign any application and offered to pay in advance.. This has become suspicious.  Please be aware of who he is.  Your site has helped me not to waste time on this evil person.

Same email, from James Kovac- got suspicious when he asked what were the 'modalities' for moving
into the apartment- looked up the word- it means relating to moods...?  Gotta be really careful these

The fella is still trying.. uses the name Dr. Jacob Sage now.  Knew it was a scam right off,  Googeled his name then the address and found this blog.  Hope he goes to jail and has some tossed salad!

i jus got an email with the name Mike Morgan LOL its says i won 5 million pounds and one from coca cola WTFFF and in the coca cola email it says that i won 1 million US dollars

I just got this same message from a Dr. Richard Pascal.  He even sent me a check for $9500- from his financier and Turpial Travel C.A.

Then he just called me to take out $2600 cash and send somewhere western union.  His english was terrible and today he sounded drunk.  Wow I'm glad i looked on the internet.
