I am so glad that I looked this up as I had the exact same emails.  Thought I would update the site.  I did not receive a call but was given that same number as a contact.

Dr Mike Morgan is back again, as of yesterday when I got his standard iquiry about an apartment I have for rent.

I received a message from this Dr. Morgan in response to a rental I have in Nevada.  Seems like this guy is using the same message, just changing the month he wants to move in.

does this feel like a scam to anyone else?

yes... i have the same message but wants to move in south carolina ... wow glad i found this before i went forward with this guy call Dr. Morgan

Thanks everyone. I just got an email today the same as you all received. It sounded fishy and he had not answered any of the questions I'd asked in my ad. I've deleted his email without answering.

Dr Roland Erickson has the same form letter hitting Maryland now.  Anyone who wants an apartment so bad that they will sign a lease and pay 2 months and a security deposit without ever seeing the place, not even 1 photo is a real red flag.  I could be scamming him into renting a run down shack!  And, the grammer is awful.  But I do not understand what they get out of it.  Do they actually move in and alll the checks bounce and then we fight in court to get them out?  What makes this worth thier time?  Are they collecting info from us. I did not even have a street address listed.

Well the Dr keep changing his name. I just got an email from him wanting to rent a townhouse I advertised on CRaigslist, but this time he calls himself Dr Chris Fraser. He uses email add: chrisfraser82@yahoo.com and chrisfraser00001@gmail.com. Be aware.

Well, thank heavens for Google.  Received the same letter from Kovac James.  Hah! what a name.  I have been in the rental business for 25 years and can usually just smell the rats.  Or, some times it is only mice. This fellow is a large rat.  I just couldn't figure his angle, until I read some of the posts.  The furniture stores must be partners.  Crazy world.

could someone help me to report to the police.

As I know San jose police is very not efficiency.  I ever called to san jose police to file report about someone stole my stuffs from the house which was remodeling.

But san jose police will say they will  come and let you wait a couple hours and never come.
