586-283-3000

I have been getting calls from 586-283-3000 for about six years.  The times that I have answered the phone, they want to drop coupons, etc off, and want to know when I will be home.  Other times they leave no message, and I can't reach them on the above number.

"Not a Charity Case"  left a message (above at 9/7/11), saying this in regard to the caller:  "America's Professional Services Assn is located at 6900 Miller Drive in Warren, MI  48092 and their phone # is (586) 939-3810.

I called Americas's Professional Services Assn. number, and Hellen, a nice lady answered the phone, wanting to direct my call.  When I said I wanted to talk to someone in their company to ask them if they use a certain telephone number, Hellen said "Is this about 283-3000?  I said yes, and she transferred me to the marketing department, where I left my name and number on their answer machine.  I called Hellen back and asked for the President of the company.  Got another answering machine, and left my name and number to call me back.

I called Hellen back and asked to speak to a human being.   She trasferred me, and VOILA!, I got  Mr. Richard James, the president of the company.  

Mr. James was very polite, and said he does not know all of the 300 telephone numbers his company uses.
I mentioned that Hellen knew the number, and he said something to the effect that if Helen knows it, it must be their number.

I have to admit that I was VERY HOT about this, and both Hellen and Mr. James were polite.

I described my problem with their company not leaving a message on my answering machine, and being unable to call them back on their outgoing-only number.

Mr. James said he would take me off of their calling list.

I said if he really cared about his company, and the negative impression his marketing calls were having, he should google 586--283-3000, and see for himself.

Perhaps others would like to contact  the president Mr. James directly at 586-939-3810 to have thier numbers removed from his list.

Got 3 calls from this number just today.  These scammers must be on "speed"!

Called - No Message - and No answer on recall. Second call - answered on first ring - no one there. Pain in the Phone. Love to Taser the caller.  LOL

These numbers keeps calling really tired of it

These people just recently started calling and call every day morning, noon, afternoon...caller ID says Michigan call.   I absolutely hate it when someone doesn't have the courtesy to leave a message but keeps right on ringing the phone.   Tells me they have nothing important to say, just something to sell.  And yes, maybe trying to find out when we aren't home, as has been suggested.   Comments also suggest that these people have been doing this for years.   I do know that National Do Not Call List still matters for honest business people (anywhere I have worked, anyway!) and obviously these people are NOT.   Dead silence when they get a machine or voice mail, no way to call them back because typical call center, their outgoing number does not take calls.

Thanks for the info...I called the number  from your post and asked for the legal department. I was given the following # 586-268-4463. I googled it and it is an attorney Harold McDonald in Warren. hmmm? haven't pursued it further - yet.

Try a few of these numbers to make some complaints...

I too received a call from this number at 8:30 am this morning.  I called the number back but you get nothing.  No connection whatsoever.  It's like you never called. I looked it up and saw the comment about calling 586-939-3810, American's Professional Services.  I called that number a few minutes ago and was referred to a very polite lady that was aware of the the phone number 586-283-3000.  I gave her my phone number and asked to be removed from their list.  She was polite and said she would do that.  We shall see.

Spoke with Monica at the number Khadeia provicded.  She claims they are a non-profit and that the one year of discounts coupons etc. are free and also insists they do not signed anyone up for the additional year which of course costs MONEY unless the elderly person calls THEM  to ask for it.  She also insists they are non profit.  They are not non profit and this allows someone to compile a list and living conditions (i.e. lives alone etc.) of seniors in our community and target them.  Report this along with these comments on this site to your State Attorney Generals office so an investigation can take place.

they called me a month or two back and i said  i would be home when they asked, they dropped off their package and set up an appt to come back; i ended up doing some of business with them and i've actually been really happy with them. my agent always gets back to me when i have questions and i really like that all those services are in one place. makes it easier on someone my age!!!!!!!!!!! thank you

How are they "Targeting" them anymore than ANY business has it's own demographic? I don't know that I see the logic or the laws that you feel they're breaking.
