- Joe| 8 repliesThis is HEI - they ask you to participate in a short survey - then call you back a few weeks later to tell you've won a prize- either a bbq or a trip for two. Then when they deliver it they do a demonstration of there air purifiers and vaccum cleaners (which takes forever) and expect you to purchase one for a ridiculous price.
dont bother with the survey - its a waste of time
you think you've won but you haven't!!!- Caller: HEI
- lisa| 3 repliesI wish these people would stop calling me. How can annoy them like they annoy me???
- Pamela| 1 replyI received a call from a woman saying i had won a prize for participating in a health survey in November. She said i had the choice of a bbq or a trip to one of 50 destinations. I chose the bbq and she told me it would be delivered the following day. When the guy showed up at the door, in a sporty blue vehicle with BC plates 796 KMN, he said he was there to do a demonstration. i told him i wasn't interested in a demonstration and just wanted the prize. He feigned surprise and said he had to make a phone call. He got back in his car and drove off, without any explanation. I called the number, 604 520 3565, for an explanation. Whoever answerd the phone said it's always made clear in the initial phone call that they are coming to do a demonstration. Not at all the case. The guy on the phone was very reluctant to provide info. He finally provided his address as 226 17 Fawcet Rd, Coquitlam. He said the sell Filter Queen Vacuum parts. He woudn't give me his business registration or tax number. Definitely a big waste of time. Completely unprofessional. I doubt they actually sell anything.

- JeanneI received 2 calls today from this group asking if I would participate in a health survey. Suspicious me asked the first caller who they were representing since this person only gave her personal name at the beginning of the call. This person just hung up on me. Several hours later another call came through and again only a personal name given and I was asked if I would participate in a health survey. I said that I have some questions first before I would decide. I asked who she was representing. With a very heavy accent, she replied Healthtek. I asked where they were located. She answered Coquitlam. I then asked HOW they got my phone number since I am listed on the "DO NOT CALL LIST". She said they just randomly call and asked again if I would participate. I told her no, that I'm reporting Healthtek to the Fed Gov't (which I did though I NOW SEE how Healthtek gets around this list - THEY ARE "REALLY ONLY CONDUCTING A SURVEY"!!! which is only their preamble to a sales pitch.) Yes, they do sell Filter Queen - they are the same crowd that hooked my 81 year old father in law into buying a VERY expensive vacuum and air filter system for an extremely small apartment WITH NO CARPETING!. He felt very embarrassed and foolish after by being taken in by their tactics. As well his credit card number was then used illegally for thousands of $ worth of items purchased in the US and Healthtek was the only place he had used his card. I would advise extreme caution in dealing with this Company since all their business practices seem to be barely legal and rather sleazy.

- Justin| 1 replyI received the same deal as those above me. The man called though before he "came to deliver the prize" and said his name was Grant.... I told him to take a hike and not call again I didn't want the sales pitch or the prize. The next time someone calls from there looking for me I'm going to tell them that "Justin died of a drug overdose last night" and hope that it stops the calls.

- micheleI also have been bothered by them. The guy came up about the polution in my town. That he had three short questions. My neighbour was with me and said that she won't answer any, that it's trouble. I got a call a couple of hours later to say I won. Could they deliver the prize now, that the rep. was in the neighbour hood. A time was made for 4 o'clock, a no show. At seven in the evening the same woman phoned to say he wasn't able to make it at four how about now. I said no, ended up four the next day we will try again. ( really wanted the hotel package for my boyfriend)I say to the woman to have the guy call if he'll be late, okay says she. Well four comes around and no guy, he phones at five to say some excuse and he's here in the neighbour hood can he come now. He sounded like he was stoned or drunk, but who am I to say. Okay is my answer,it is still light out. Well six rolls around and still not here. I'm skyping my daughter and we're talking how he keeps trying to come when it's dark. I am of two minds. He's to stoned to get his [***] together or he's here to case the place out and ??.I turn my lights out keep talking to my daughter. The guy shows up just before seven. I let him keep knocking, then he leave's and starts to phone. They keep phoning, won't leave message. Pain in the ass. Went to googel them and it says nothing about them, just a lot of salesmen wanted.

- Sho| 1 replyThis company makes a lot of sales from this. Filter Queen is a great Vacuum and purifier but way over priced. Their methods are very shady but work. Nothing you can really do because employees are given a list of numbers like (403) 245-XXXX and the XXXX is 0001 0002 0003 0004 .... etc etc. People are hired to do this all day.
How do they get your name? Either it was called before and placed a side till owner of house can be contacted. Also when the sales people are not busy demoing at a house they are going door to door with wedge notes (if your not home)or ask you a quick survey to enter a draw for free money or something good (if you are home). If you did they got your name and information. Expect a call within a hour to a few weeks.- Caller: Healthtek aka Filter Queen
- AndiHi - These guys are very suspect. I called them in response to an ad for men and women F/T for various positions, including Customer Service becos they were expanding in Coquitlam/Surrey. The clincher that made me wonder was they mumbled the name of the company & had to really squeeze it out of them that they were "HealthTek", they wouldn't give me their website to look up the organization, said they didn't have one right now despite the fact they've supposedly been in business since 1928 ( ;) ) and for a NO EXP NECESSARY position they were offering $21.35 per Hr Base Agreement!!! Interviews (just to bring pen&paper - no Resume needed!!!?? conducted from a suite at the Ramada Inn at 631 Loughheed Highway, East of N. Road ~ No way ;( Very suspect... Ad in The Now Newspaper, Friday May 22/09.
- Nora| 3 repliesI got a call on my telephone asking to speak to my daughter. I asked who it was and the girl said Healthteck. I asked what and who the represented, and she said Healthteck. I asked what this company did and she kept saying that she needed my name and number before she could answer any questions. I therefore warned her that this seemed like a scam and if any further calls came to this number that I would consider harassment charges. She stated that they are with the Better Business Bureau, if so, after reading this blog how come? This is nothing but a scam as they do not want to give you any information and how they get the phone numbers leaves alot to be desired? I would think that this is what should be looked into as my daughter's name is not even on this phone number as it is in my name, her mother, and her last name is not even the same as mine was she is a widow.
Take care - stay far away from this and notify all your friends to stay away.- Caller: H E I
- TravI originally called this number last week in response to the job ad they had in the Province newspaper for $21.35 base agreement with $500 signing bonus, then they told me to call back on Monday because they weren't running anymore interviews. I gotta admit it sounded too good to be true so I ran the number through google and found this site. Thanks for everybody's input, I'll just avoid them all together and not bother calling them back for the "job".
- Bill| 2 repliesThis company operates out of my business complex, and their employees are constantly violating parking bylaws. I know this is somewhat unrelated to the phone scam angle, however it is extremly unprofessional and based on my past interactions with the staff there, I would stay as far away from this company as possible!!!

- Fed UpThis company came to my house to give me a voucher for $100 free groceries. I was told they would do a 'short' demo. They showed up late, and stayed until past 9pm. They were VERY HIGH PRESSURE sales people and pressured us into buying a filter queen vacuum. It did a very nice job cleaning my house, but after they left I came to my senses and realized I couldn't afford the $4,500.00!!! When I called to cancel, the same guy showed up and became irritated that I was returning the product. He was unprofessional to say the least. After trying to 'keep the sale' I finally had to order him out of my house. He became VERY RUDE and slammed the door on his way out. I called the company to complain, but it only got worse from there. I have put a call in to the Better Business Bureau.

- billhealthtek is a high preasure sales company who sells filter queen, majestic and defender air filter machines. they are both high quality products and if you are looking for a one, I would recomend them... HOWEVER THEY ARE VERY HIGH PREASURE SALES... I have a filter queen I bought 12 years ago. it works great. This 90 minute informational demo with their " indoor air quallity inspector' who was nothing more than a sales person compared and insisted I buy their new high powered machine and then used my phone to call their office and have me talk to some guy who asked me and just plain out interigated me and almost intimidated me into buying (if I was an old lady I probably would have bought just to ease to high preasure sales tactics that these fast talking JERK ON THE PHONE use.) I don't need a new one, my old one works fine!

- anonsame as all the other above.. wife answered survey, got the call telling us that we won a vacation for 2 nights/3 days or a auto detailing kit. I chose the detailing kit and was told that an agent would drop it off within 30 mins. The lady on the phone said that we'd have to participate in a quick demo of a product prior to receiving the gift.. I told her that no one was coming in our house. When he came here I told the sales guy that no one was coming in as we were all sick (true) and that I just wanted the prize. He put me on the phone with his manager and he tried to sell me that the sales guy got paid to show me the goods.. no dice, I looked at the detailing kit and said I'd forfeit the gift.. end of story with this company, no way your getting my cash.
- BeckySame as everyone above, first one was Nevada Health Systems, second one was Idaho Premier Health. Funny, I didn't take a second phone survey. Never got any prizes, and when the salesman shows up tonight I think we will scare him real bad.
- Robert| 1 replyI had a fun demonstration. The Filter Queen was amazing but I can't buy it right now But I will when I buy my house. Anyway it was fun and I got a voucher for 100 worth of free gas. Very worth it. I really wish you all had a great experience as I did. Glad I could help a small local business out.
- vinnyg| 1 replyTonight I had my first healthtek visit. They stopped by doing a door to door survey. I was pretty annoyed as he rang the door bell with my little guy sleeping. I was a bit suspicious and now that I have read all the comments I am glad we have call display because we will be using it.
- Yamyryder| 1 replyI had a young female attend my "rear door" stating that she was conducting a survey. I told her that I was right in the middle of watching an Olympic event and could she come back. She was pushy and stated that it will only take less than a minute. She asked a few questions about the air quality, took my phone number and left. The next day I received a phone call from 604-520-3565, a female stating that I had won a daily prize which would need to be dropped off along with some literature. She wanted my wife's name and I stated that I would not be providing any names. The following day, I receive another phone call advising that they are coming to deliver "our prize- a two night stay at 1 of 80 destinations", they wanted to make sure that me and my wife would both be home. Um no, we are hardly home at the same time and when we are we don't want to be bothered. The guys says well we need both of you home to deliver the prize. I told him to never call again as we are not interested. Beware!!!! Something fishy going on with these guys!
