i have a question for people that work here. My daughter has an interview with the company next week for an appointment scheduler.  I want to know if this is the job that makes them go out and sale stuff or is it just for booking the appointments. I have read all the comments and the ones from Employees and still don't know if I want her to go for the job.  Someone please fill me in

I don't think that it is a company that does scams. I just think it is a bad sales tactic.  In today's economic times we are all wanting to make more money.  Going out to get leads is something that takes a strong person to do.  I don't like the fact that they are not being truthful on why they are coming to your home. But this company has been in business for a lot of years and thousands of customers, and only about 15 complaints on this site.

I agree that is why I will be going to the interview, not a presentation like the others stated, I was not asked to bring pen and paper, just a copy of my references

    Hi,
I also got the survey call and offer of a prize. The prize delivery is attached to someone coming to your home and showing you their air purifier. After making the appointment, my intuition kicked in and I started questioning whether it was a good idea, but they hadn't left me a number to call in case I needed to change my appointment time... I just let it ride. I booked the apointment about an hour before I would have to leave for another appointment so they couldn't highjack my time for more than 60 min. About an hour before, on the day of the appointment, HEI started calling, but never left a message. Since I have caller display and I couldn't remember the name of the company, I let it ring. They called about 4 times, no message. No one showed up at the appointed time.

My conclusion: A legitimate company would leave a message.

I was pestered by these people for over 3 weeks from this phone number and several others...another one registered HEI on my call display.  As I am registered on the Do Not Call list, I reported the numbers.  I'm still getting calls but the last time (a week ago) I asked them to take me off their list, and the woman said she would.  Well, I thought that was the end of it, but no.  Today someone with a very heavy accent banged on my door.  As I never answer my door unless expecting someone, I asked them who it was.  He said, "Progressive Products."  I said no, I'm not interested.  He persisted, saying they even install the product (oh wow, cause he never even said what the product was)....I walked away, and he kept talking at the closed door.  I just googled Progressive Products and low and behold, they sell vacuum cleaners.  I'm pretty sure this is an alias for Healthtek.  So these scumballs keep changing both their phone numbers and name....this is not a reputable business tactic and is very suspect.  If they come back again, I will report to the police.

    ugh fed up with healthtek
healthtek called my home constantly for over a week. i don't understand what they're trying to do or what they're trying to promote. not everyone needs a vacuum or an air purifier. first off, from the posts i've read above i'd rather buy the dyson vacuum over the filter queen. i've owned both and the filter queen is just too big (i've had mine for well over 8 years) and the dyson has a lifetime warranty i believe AND IT WORKS GREAT. on top of that the filter queen needs new filters whenever its full when the dyson doesn't. so what makes them think that we'll actually spend a couple thousand on the filter queen when the dyson is a couple hundred. most people won't even spend that extra couple hundred on a dyson! SECOND OF ALL, why do they call so much? i mean if we don't answer the first couple times, we're not gonna answer again.

this young lady called stating her name was Carly. she stated his name and i asked if she could just leave a message (assuming it was the health clinic calling about medication).  she told me that my husband was selected to win a prize because he contacted them about an allergy/skin problems which he actually does have. after believing what they said she proceeded to ask if i was the spouse and told me that i have 3 prizes to pick from.

    1) a car detailing kit - which consists of many things to clean your car and so on. apparently comes in a small convenient case
    2) 3 night stay in a hotel within north america - does not include transportation ie. airplane tickets
    3) the slap chop that is advertised on tv

i was going to choose the hotel stay because i wanted to go on a trip with my husband for our anniversary but she said it didn't cover any transportation or anything else (i am thankful she mentioned this) and the slap chop didnt sound that interesting because i'm happy with my knives and i love taking my time to cook. so i guess i was left with the car detailing. she then asked for my address which i was reluctant to provide but figured they needed it to mail my car detailing kit.

FORTUNATELY, my mother was there to tell me it's not safe to give away my address and that it could be a scam and if they were asking for my husband then i should probably wait for him to come home and answer the phone. i felt bad for hanging up on her midway but if i didn't i'd probably be stuck in a scam. why do they bother calling northern bc if they're located in coquitlam. SCAM!

    btw the number is 6045201796

FOR THE WORKERS THAT HAVE POSTED ON HERE. YOU GUYS ARE A SCAM IF YOU'RE FORCING US TO BUY A VACUUM WE DON'T WANT.

beware of these people!! thank goodness i googled to see where their company was located and came across this site. i hope they never call again or else i'll have to report them or i will be mean :@ get the hint when we're complaining on a site about you! most surveys only call once or twice!

wow, you sure have an option of this company.  They are not a scam. they sell a product that you are not forced to buy.  No one can force you to buy anything. The girls on the phone are calling because your husband took some interest in the product.  They don't have a call list to go off, it all done from previous sales calls.  You telling my daughter and her co-workers that they are scammers is discusting.  I wish I know where you worked so that I could put a post up for how bad of a person you are.

What did I get myself into ?
A few weeks ago a lady came to my door and asked me to do a short survey, and after doing the survey I'll be entered into a draw for a cash prize. I didn't see the harm in it so I did it and off she went. Just recently they called and told me my name was drawn to win a prize, and i had 3 choices. I picked the
vacation for 2. After getting off the phone with her I felt really uncomfortable and realized i made a
mistake.. I read all these reviews and certainly don't like what Iv seen. There's much more negative responses than positive, which can only mean one thing. I set the appointment for tomorrow but really don't want to go through with it. I'm 19 years old going to college and currently don't have a job. There's no way I could afford to buy the products their selling. Not only will they be wasting my time, but I'll be wasting theirs as well.. So its really not worth it. The number they called from was 604-520-1796, Im going to call in the morning and see if i can cancel this appointment and get removed off their calling list so I won't have to deal with them again. If for whatever reason I can't cancel, I won't be letting them into my house. I should of looked this up before hand, i feel bad about having to waste someones time, I know it's their job.. but their company SHOULD have more details and info about what their doing so they can avoid this type of thing. I really hope the call goes through and I won't have to deal with them in person.

Cancelled it replies to What did I get myself into ?
Just wanted to let you know I called them back from the same number they called me from and was able to cancel the appointment. The lady on the other end was very friendly and understanding, and not pushy at all. I'll have to wait and see if they end up calling back. I only received 3 phone calls in the last 2-3 weeks so they haven't been harassing me. Hopefully that doesn't change.

    Not so bad
We had them cone around last year. Everyone they call gets a "prize", either an item (kitchen knife, car kit, etc) or a voucher for hotel stays with tons of restrictions. They send a salesman who tries to sell you something you don't really need at an inflated price. In our case, it was a $2000 vacuum cleaner with an air purification system. Then they give you your "prize".

The down side: The salesman was a complete . . . well, I am sure he sold used cars at some point in his life. Slime ball. Would NOT listen to me (the female), treated us like idiots for not buying his crappy product (people trying to sell it left, right, and center used online), and kept on with the pitch "what will it take to sell you one today?". Was tough to get him the hell out of our home. They came around again, same thing. I am not going for it this time because I am afraid of getting the same slime. However, if you want the prize and don't mind wasting a slimy salesman's time, it is not a big deal. They never called us again after our first encounter, anyway.

As far as being an appointment setter, the girls that phoned us both times were very nice. They are not told what it is the salesman is selling (or so they claim), and aren't particularly pushy so I assume working there is not terrible.

    Lol
As for more negative comments then positive, people do not like to say positive things and only dwell on the negative. I have dealt with these people before and most of the staff is very pleasant. Although the time can be long, the girls all tell you you do not have to buy it and it doesn't take to Long which means it's not too long. Lol they don't actually tell you a time. I feel
Bad for the staff though who probably encounter some pretty mean people. So do everyone a favour and treat others the way you would want to be treated. Plus as someone else said healthtek has been around longer then most of you are alive, only a dozen or so negative comments, sounds pretty good to me

Lol people should just chill and let these people do their job.

I am also another one of "Health Tek"'s survey/prize suckers. They told me on the phone that I had won a trip for two to many places in the US and Canada and they would drop off my prize certificates because they couldn't mail them. I gave them my address and a nice young fellow came to the door with a big suitcase full of product to show me. I told him I wasn't interested. We are retired and didn't want to purchase anything even if it was a "wonderful" product. He called his boss who then said he had to take back the certificate because I didn't let him do his demo. I refused. After a heated discussion, "Grant" (the boss) tried to pile on guilt for me to have this poor kid drive all the way out and not let him do the show. I refused to return the coupon and made the guy leave.
Here comes the punch- the coupon is only another guise to have you  sit through a sales pitch for resorts (time shares?) and you have to mail them $50 US to an address in Florida to get the reservations. Solution- unlisted phone number.
