This guy Daniel Duckford wants me to email him at dman1204@gmail.com with the details of a car I have for sale..

Hi had exact same scenario with "Julie Hamex" today. Same script exactly , wanting to but my car from Gumtree.

This scammer texted me off ad on ebay.On a ship blah blah pay by paypal (bogas emails purporting to be from pay pal) but wanted me to pay his "shipping agent" in China before he could transfer money.
Steer well clear

Yesterday 3/09/12 i received sms from the above number  in conection  with  an OLX *rent  a room*  advert

I got the Email where he said price an cond I email back am I getting sucked in from just replying or am I safe with my money

YEP!  I RECEIVED A TEXT FROM A RIVARD THOMPSOM PH. No. 61428465117 IN REGARDS TO BUYING MY TRUCK WHICH I ADVERTISED IN THE TRUCK TRADER MAG. HE WANTED FOR ME TO SEND A REPLY TO HIM VIA EMAIL AS HE SAID IT WOULD BE BETTER THAN REPLYING BY TEXT. I SENT A TEXT ONLY SAYING HE'S GOT MY NUMBER SO RING INSTEAD.  I KNEW HE WOULD NOT REPLY AGAIN.
                        UNFORTUNATLY THE ONLY REPLY'S I HAVE TO MY AD ARE ALL PEOPLE TRYING A SCAM. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ADVERTISING ANYMORE, TRY SELLING YOUR ITEMS CURB-SIDE.   TO ALL THE NICE PEOPLE OUT THERE "HAVE A NICE DAY" TO ALL THE SCAMMERS HAVE A VERY LONELY LIFE.

Just got a response from this number, regarding my ad on Gumtree today. Now its Frank James (frankcody5@gmail.com). After giving him a response considering the condition and price of my ad. I got this from him:

I've duly reported this email address and the fake name Randy Moore to Gmail.

I got a text message from this number in response to an advert for a car on Gumtree, asking me to send details to an email address of richardmurd2002@yahoo.co.uk.  I emailed and this is on  of the replies

We received exactly the same email after posting our ad for our boat in gum tree. It was practically word for word.  We thought it was a bit sus but went along with it.  Then my husband googled the email and surprise...it's a scam.  Hope he/she doesn't get any more of people's hard earned money

new one today. Listed some stuff for sale on gumtree and Julie Hamex replied saying she'd take it and wanted to deposit money through PayPal and arrange pick up. Seemed too good to be true but legit at the same time til I googled her name and this thread appeared.

i got the sms from this number  61428465117 and was asking me to send him/her email: yamingua@gmail.com regarding the room price and picture.. i can remember i got the similiar sms before from that number.
