i replied him stating that i will be consulting a cyber crime division to state his authenticity, he replied (sorry for the 'he' assumption) thats ok and once it's been checked to send him my full address etc....

I am another person who felt that there was something wrong with the initial text message and then googled up the Janet and Jason Maxwell names and found this site exposing the scam, I like others was quite excited with the initial enquiry.
Thanks all for your input into stopping these people with websites like this one, very much appreciated, happy selling/buying.

Received a message this morning about an advert on an electronical piano that I'm trying to sell on the Danish website guloggratis.dk. The message is also from the phone number +61428465117, but the text says:
"Sent from: Sandy Gold
Hi,whats the current price of your Musical Instruments listed on Guloggrattis.dk?please reply directly to edenmanfred46@gmail.com for further conversations. Thanks".
Apparently, this text message is sent from Sandy Gold and advises me to respond to edenmanfred46@gmail,com. Therefore, the user name (edenmanfred46) and the phone number is the same, and this must also be scam. Take care. :-)

Got a txt from this guy calling himself James mckane interested in buying my car advertised on Gumtree. Says he is working on an oil rig so his agent will pick up the car on his behalf, but oh dear the agent needs cash can i forward $950.00 to the agent in China!!! Bloody scammers, many of my ebay and gumtree ads have attracted scammers of this type. The reason they exist is simply because people, to my absolute disbelief actually send them money.

I got this SMS from that number:

Ive had the same issue but when the person texted me I researched there number and found this.page. I guess we have to just be careful and research everything

Got a call about 15mins after I posted the ad for my car. Then a message with an email address "Jasonmaxwell2010@gmail.com" to respond to. I did respond as there were little details and couldn't tell if it were a scammer, to get this response 1 minute later. mmmm I wonder if this is a scam... These arsewipes should be shoot!!

I´m the first owner of the JBL speakers. They have been out with me one one job, and the condition is fine.
The Dynacord system is used and i had them 4 about 3 years.
The Price is 12.000 Dkr for both sets.
New price all togheter is 22.000 Dkr

I can only pay through PayPal because i currently do not have access to my bank account because i don't use internet banking and i can't get to the bank at the moment due to the nature of my job. I work as a marine biologist and most of the time i'm on sea. I can pay from my paypal account with my credit card which is already attached to my account,which is why i want to pay with PayPal.

PayPal is very easy to set up, just get to www.paypal.com and get an account , after you have it set up, i will only need your paypal email address to transfer the money...

Every time I post an ad on Gum tree from racecars, road cars or car parts, I get a message within 30 minutes or so from this number requesting the best price be emailed to a gmail account. They never reply to text when I tell them to get lost (to put it politely). Usually it's 'Andey', to day with was Andey & Tim, but also john gets in on the action. The funny thing is that what I am selling is of no use to anyone outside of Aus, USA & NZ. I would have thought that a Telco would have sourced this number and disconnected it at least, or trace where it is buying credit from either online or in person.. Would love to see the police get all up in their [***] and bust them!

I have just had a message notification come thruogh on my phone. I currently hav a vehicle for sale on various sites including GUMTREE.

The number is listed the same as above but the name used this time is lisa Portah. email address is lisaportah101@gmail.com. message reads:

from : M K is the campervan/caravan on gumtree still for sale , email me to lisaportah101@gmail.com.

got my suspisions up straight away because of the non specific enquiry and then the code on the phone number.

also have received another enquiry on the same vehicle on the same number name was Richard lewendon. email address given was richylew01@gmail.com.

again wanted to buy the vehicle using a agent, without seeing the vehicle first.

are these people really that stupid to keep using the same number on their enquires.

has anyone contact gmail to get emails wiped?
