- Matt GarvinJust got our first call from 616-980-4030. As above caller-id was AGI. I recently purchased an nice inexpensive Panasonic wireless phone which has ability to block up to 30 incoming calls. Time to test out its call-blocking feature.
I wish the individual states would implement a simple complaint site for pursuing these jerks. No point in having the feds do it. By the time they'd get around to it, we'd be living on another planet. - just hereI get a call from this number about once every few days at my home #, but I usually don't answer the call....
It's almost 8:00 pm and a few minutes ago, I just got a call from them, asking for me (they knew my name) saying that he is from Bank Of America bla bla bla...wanting me to sign up for my credit report....bla bla bla... He wouldn't take no for an answer so I hung up....
I don't want BOA calling me after working hours...gonna contact BOA very soon about this.- Caller: AGI
- UnknownThey called my house saying they have information regarding my credit card usage and that there is a problem. i called back worried and a bank of america message comes on with an offer. i immediately called bank of america and they dont have a such a number on file and they dont make phone calls regarding offers, they have this number logged as a security warning. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!
- Matt GarvinFollow-up to my previous post of 3 November 2009.
The AGI 616-980-4030 phone spammers gave me a chance to test my recently purchased inexpensive Panasonic wireless phone which has the ability to block up to 30 different incoming phone numbers. As I expected (above) AGI tried again today. The Panasonic's call blocking worked as advertised and killed the call on the first ring.
I have checked with Bank Of America. They state that no such company (AGI) works for them and were concerned about the possible damage this company could do to their reputation. They took down the information I provided and indicated that it will be passed on to their legal department for further action. Anyone else so inclined might want to follow up with a call of their own. If you call their Customer Service number, ask for a manager and give him/her the info.

- ATAAGI- Bank of America trying to sell "improved" identity theft and fraud protection for a one-time, low-low rate of $12.99/month.
Yeah, clearly banks just aren't getting enough of our money...
If they want to keep my money, perhaps they should provide this sort of service for their patrons anyway!!- Caller: AGI/ Bank of America
- HermanThis company keeps calling pretending that i have a dept that i do not have, keep calling twice a day.they better stop calling.

- rexPeople DON'T SAY "YES" OVER THE PHONE to people who you DON'T know!!! This is VERY IMPORTANT! What telemarketers do is push a button when the person on the other line is asked to AGREE TO SERVICE. Instead of asking after their pitch they ask for your name...push the button...when you say "Yes" they hang up. Now they have documented proof you -supposedly- agreed to service. Get it? Got it? Good. ;)
- RayCalling all hours of day, will not talk to my wife, ask for me, informaion, calling about credit card

- some dudeRcv calls from AGI 3xs a day. They are pleasant all the same.

- CDgot a call from same # AGI. I asked if I could have a number to call them back at and was given 866-433-3481. I called the number and a recording picks up and mentions identity theft. Once what is perceived to be a live operator picks up, they ask for my full name, which of course I didn't give them and then I hung up.
- ccstarHere is a great idea on stopping those telemarketing pests.
1. Use an answering machine and record the advertisement of a pornographic phone line that costs $xx.00 per minute to call.
2. Turn on that answering machine ONLY when you see on your calling ID caller that you don't want to pick up, and this caller is now a pest.
3. When the pests call in, they hear the pornographic hot line advertisement to call into a per-minute call. Some stupid telemarketers may just think that this is your new number, and call that pornographic advertisement's number. When the bill comes in for them to pay, it will be very expensive one.
4. If you have selective call forwarding, which you can program certain numbers who are pests, to forward them to an pornographic phone line advertisement, they will get the same message as you have recorded on your answering machine, only it will forward the call automatiacally without you need to do anything extra. Many internet phone companies have this selective call forwarding at no extra cost per month. I have it, and I have already placed 7 different "pests" to be forwarded to pornographic advertiser. Ha Ha Ha, they will be very frustrated at themselves to get into this. This is a spiceful tasty idea! Enjoy this fun idea, and tell all your friends/relatives to do the same.

Caller Type: Telemarketer - MarshaI am averaging 5-6 calls per day from this number and it has been happening for over a month now. Every time I answer the call, there is no one on the other end. This is becoming very annoying.
I plan to get caller ID, so I will not have to answer the call when it comes in. - BrianWe are getting calls daily from this number. If we do not answer, they do not leave a message. Up until today, I have treated it as a minor annoyance, but they started calling multiple times per day, so I answered to see what they wanted.
The call sounded as if it was initiated by an auto-dialer. there was a pause while the call was passed to a live agent. The agent did not identify herself, her organization, or the purpose of the call. the agent only asked to speak with my spouse. I replied that she was not available. The agent said "thank you" and ended the call before I could ask for any more information.
Based on the information I found online regarding the information that was displayed for this call, I am contacting Bank of America / Nationsbank to be placed on their "no soliciation" list, and paying another visit to http://donotcall.gov to report the incident.- Caller: AGI
