- LoriI got a call from this number as well. I think it is a scam. I am sure the last couple of comments are from the company so people think it is real. No real company would work this way in this day and age of scams! You never give your info out over the phone or internet.
- Ro, TXI have received two calls from this phone number. Each time I did not answer. When I called back I received a recorded message about employment verification and a representative would be with me shortly. Legitimate companies usually leave a message.
- John in IndianaThis is a scam. Last week I got a call on my voice mail, which I did not return. The message said they wanted to verify a job application, but I haven't applied for ANY job, online or anyplace else, nor have I been in any of the job boards or job Web sites. I have no idea how they got my number.
They just tried to call again, but I didn't answer. I don't know what they're up to, but it isn't legitimate.
I think they're trying to take advantage of the fact that many people are out of work and applying, so they think the call might be on the level.- Caller: Don't remember
- Colorado GirlI think any company calling for anything regarding a job application submitted online or other wise that doesnt leave a message is a scam of some sort. Legit companies would leave thier name/contat info and why they are calling.
- Caller: they didnt say
- m courtneyalso got a call from this # after seeing this info , definitely not call it back

- ChristineI have recieved the same call - I am using job boards like careerbuilder, monster, craig's list, etc. I am not interested in listening to someone's cr@p about the need to further my education. Not gonna call back either - PS, I live in So. Cal and have only applied locally so getting a call from NY is BS :-(
- BPrescreening for a job...
I was told the call would last from 5 to 45 minutes and after I verified all my info the line was disconnected (about 3 minutes). I think that was them telling me thanks we got what we need bye sucker. I called them back and said I got disconnected and they told me oh thats ok you are already "registered" so they will contact you from here. I Say Scam. When the education crap starts coming in the mail I will come back on here and verify.- Caller: Employment Select
- PaulI received a phone call from (646) 520-696 on April 6, 2009 at 9:05 AM. According to my caller ID, the location is in New York City, NY. I called back at 1:36 PM and a woman picked up on the other line. She said that this was in regards to a forklift job that I had applied for online at craigslist.org for $12.50 an hour. She said that the job was located in Youngsville, NC (about 10 minutes from Wake Forest, NC). She said that the phone interview could take up to 45 minutes. I agreed to it. She asked me to verify my name, address, and phone number. She then asked me, "Where do you see yourself 2 years from now?" I told her, "Working as a forklift operator in a warehouse." She asked me, "What is your highest level of education?" I told her, "Bachelors." She asked me, "In what?" I told her, "Christian Education." She asked me, "Are you going to school?" I told her, "No." She asked me, "Do you plan on furthering your education?" I told her that I ran out of money. She asked me, "What are you doing with your degree right now?" I told her, "This degree qualifies me to be an associate pastor in a church, but I have been told by various Christian organizations that they are seeking someone with a masters degree or higher, or that I lack the experience (which I doubt)." She said, "Well, at least you are certified to operate a forklift. I will just forward your resume to the hiring manager, and if he likes you, he will call you." I could tell that she was just brushing me off; the phone call did not even last 5 minutes. I believe that this is a scam because if there was a legitimate company in Youngsville, NC (like Stock Building Supply) searching for a forklift operator, and if the highest level of education that an applicant had was a high school diploma and they were certified to drive a forklift, they could and would be hired. (Stock Building Supply has even hired Mexican workers who did not have a high school diploma from what I heard.) I have been certified to operate a forklift since the late Spring of 2008 and have experience operating diesel forklifts, electric forklifts, and propane forklifts. The former two companies that I worked for were Stock Building Supply (in Youngsville, NC) and the Raleigh Lions Clinic for the Blind (in Raleigh, NC). Stock Building Supply downsized and laid off many of its own employees because the demand for house-building materials went down. The Raleigh Lions Clinic for the Blind (RLCB) merged with two other companies: Blind Industries & Services of Maryland (BISM) and Patriot Services. RLCB began to lay off many of their own RLCB workers little by little--the mechanic supervisor, the warehouse manager, the plant manager, front office people, forklift operators, and automated assembly operators. The only warehouse work that I have found since then were temporary positions--such as when a supervisor had to travel to another city & state for business matters, and I took care of the warehouse, shipping, and receiving while he was gone.

- SwagThis number called me and it said VOXBONE NYC2 on the caller id. Then I googled it and found this site. I havnt applied for any jobs I cannot think of any reason it would be calling if not a telemarketer.

- Sonya4-20-09 - Received a call and did not answer. Looked up the number and these comments first before returning. I figure if it's legitimate and worth a callback the caller will leave a message. After reading all these comments, I'll leave it at that.
Sonya in Georgia. - TKThey called me this morning, and I did not answer. I called them back and I waited about 15 seconds to talk to a real person. They told me if was for a job I applied online on April 1st, So I checked my calendar to see if it matched. and it did. So they have to be connected some how due to knowing that. I think it may be a pre-screening thing for online applicants, to make sure you are "Real" and not made up. that way the company is not trying to hire someone with a false Identity.
Hope I helped! - leeahi got a call from this number i have been applying like crazy for places but when i call it back in on hold for 30 mins and i never talk to no one im just waiting for a rep to get on the line so i just give up... dnt know what to really think of it

- JoeyMy wife filled an amplication online for a job. Two days later we are getting a phone call to verify information. They said they were from Employment Select. http://employmentselect.com, They asked about further her education, said we were not interested and then I looked up the number and found this site. - LanceYeah, this is a continuing ed number- just be mean to them off the bat, they'll stop calling.
- BeepThe number called my cell phone at 11:39am, Like everyone else if I don't know a number I won't answer. I blocked my home number when I called back after their friday business hours and was directed to an automated service at the company saying wait for a rep to answer. Now that I know this my not be legit I will not return the call on Monday.
- RebeccaI just got a call from them and called back.
I write down every single company i apply for, the date, time etc.
She claimed the company was confidential. I NEVER apply for companies who are confidential.
She knew i had applied for a security job but refused to tell me the company.
This really is stupid.
They are preying on unemployed people.
If they call me again i will freak out.
What i want to know is, WHO is selling our info? What Job sites are they getting it from?
I used Craigslist and Michigan Talent bank, thats it! So who sold it? - pamilathis # 6465200696 called me that they found my app.online and they email me I have to apply for job opening as a head teacher of pre school.I email them ask them where is the location or what are the requirements but no email yet.they said that they been trying to reach me and let me know that thereis job opening.
