- opijniObviously this scam is still going on. Opton's efforts have been a waste of time! They obviously want to pretend they are the victim in all this.
- fastidiousAlways follow 3 simple rules:
1) Never give ANY of your information, on any format - phone, computer, etc (I don't even do surveys!)
2) Never, EVER let anyone remotely control your computer - once they are 'in', they can access ANY information you hold on your computer (bank records, etc}. With the smallest amount of information, they can even steal your identity!
3) If you ever receive an email from a company, etc, needing a reply, ALWAYS log in to the Official website and reply from there.
I.e. I once received an email from 'eBay' telling me there was something wrong with my account. Panicking, I replied via the email (they copied the eBay page so convincingly) - this then gave the sender my user name & password, and they 'hacked' my account (and even my PayPal account!)
Fortunately for me, eBay realized the first time they tried to use my account and informed me of the fact.
Websites are so easy to set up, and even replicate, these days that scammers can 'back up' telephone calls with Official looking websites for very little cost.
Any reputable company will give you time to 'think over' what they are selling, product or service. They will not 'badger' or harass you. And give you the opportunity of researching them for authentication
IF YOU HAVE EVEN THE SMALLEST OF DOUBTS - don't interact with these callers!
Hope this post doesn't come across as pompous or anything. As stated above, I have fallen for a scam myself. It just taught me to be a little (or a lot) more suspicious, and not take everything at face value. A sorry state, I know, but these days I would rather be over cautious than too trusting! - fastidious replies to Grandma MosesI was thinking the exact same thing!
It would be so easy for a scammer to pretend to be someone advocating the company. Even if not, the law of averages is still against them! - fastidious replies to OptonWith all due respect (not that you've earned any), when reading any of the posts that advocate your services (and despite the non-asian sounding names), the terrible grammar is evidence that English is NOT the first language of those who posted the comments.
As this is apparent in EVERY ONE of the posts, one can only assume that they originate from members of your own scamming team. As the stamps across the relevant posts state - BUSTED!! - fastidious replies to Henry Donaldson| 2 repliesI, personally, wouldn't install any software these people gave you. You have no idea what it could do to your computer. The software could enable them to access your computer at anytime, with or without your knowledge.
You can purchase similar software from any reputable retailer, without the worry and uncertainty that would accompany the installation of the software this 'company' has provided. - opijni replies to fastidiousI am in full agreement. Let's get this company closed down! They are nothing but scammers and liars. Lets all do some more digging and see ehat more dirt we can uncover on Opton!

- informer replies to QATeamOPTONSo although you sacked your manager....you invited him to your office party nearly a month later? If he was doing wrong by scamming people and has damaged your companies reputation why would you invite him to a company event after you dismissed him?

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/kolka ... ow/45008363.cms - opijni replies to AvishekDubey| 1 replyDear Avishek,
Can you confirm that you also were involved in Continental Telecom Ltd - a company that was registered at the following address: P.O. Box 831, Richmond, London TW9 9AA United Kingdom? Does the company name Plus Save LTD mean anything to you?
According to the links below these telecommunication companies were eventually closed down in the interest of the public:
http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/enforcement/ ... cases/cw_01063/
http://www.ispreview.co.uk/story/2011/08/22/u ... -plus-save.html
"The Insolvency Service's Company Investigations Supervisor, David Hill, said:"These companies set out solely to mislead the public. The court’s decision to wind them up shows the seriousness with which this type of dishonest customer service activity is viewed."
The information provided on these companies gets even more damning Avishek:
"The High Court said that CT had rented its telephone lines from BT and O-bit Telecom Ltd., which were then provided to customers. However its customers were actually obtained by "cold-calling targeting vulnerable members of the public, particularly the elderly, in order to seek to persuade them to transfer their telephone service."Ofcom was also forced to start a second investigation of the firm after it discovered that CT was quietly attempting to avoid the regulators whip by transferring its customers to Plus Save in September 2010. Customers were either not informed or not properly informed. The High Court said that both companies "were under [the] common ownership and management" of ************. It's sadly not uncommon for dodgy firms to avoid accountability by simply setting themselves up under a new name. The petitions to wind up the companies were presented on 23rd June 2011 under the provisions of Section 124A of the Insolvency Act 1986. The companies were officially wound up on 3rd August 2011."
Being connected to such a company does not bode well for all the doubts surrounding the legitimacy and trustworthiness of Opton.
http://www.zoominfo.com/people/Avishek/Dubey - Anthony Braithwaite replies to opijniThis is really bad news for Opton. Not only is their company reputation in doubt, but their own director has now been aligned with another telecoms fraud that was closed down by a High Court ruling! How is anyone supposed to trust them now?!
- BradThis is terrible news for Opton. Who is digging all this dirt on them? It HAS to be somebody that works for the company or an employee they have upset. I cannot see how they can overcome these awful accusations. Are Opton now finally over?

- Cobra replies to dssfOpton will rise above all this...you will see. They have been in operation for long time and they will continue forever. This is just a blip in their history, but they are no over yet - not by a long shot!
- armitIs this really Microsoft?
- Anthony Braithwaite replies to OptonInvestigationTeam| 3 repliesThere are more accusations here that you need to answer Opton. What is taking you so long? Your silence just makes you seem more guilty.
- ssd replies to Anthony BraithwaiteOpton will be absolutely livid that you have identified the current director as being involved with Continental telecoms - a fraud company. This information will finish them off.
