I just received this phone call as well on my cell phone.  It was just a recording saying it was regarding the land I just purchased and I need to call them back it was very important...If it was that important it wouldnt have been a recording calling me it would have been an actual person!  Just sayin...

I would be sure and tell the people at your work that it was a new kind of fraud going around to scam people and  you don't kinow the people.  If they ever call you at home act like you don't speak english like you are from Pakistan and keep them on the line screwing with you.  Never admit they have you on the line.   This works for me and it can be fun.  Australian & British accents also work.

A woman named Tina called my number asking for someone I know.  She didn't give any explaintion for the call.

I received a phone call today, and they asked for me. I said this is her (stating my name that is). I was so shaken up by the phone call...that I forget the mans name that called. I asked what is this is in reference too, and he said a household account. I did have a credit card awhile back. I asked how much do I owe? He told me the amount, and went on to say something about bond and attorney....I was so freaked out that I just hung up. Thats what they like to do....is scare you, and threaten you. My debt isnt that outstanding....not like. I am going to just pay it when I have the money! But I live out of state and their in Cali. so what the heck are they going to do to me?!?   NOTHING!!!  He did call back a second time, but I didn't answer, and nor am I going too from here on out!!!!!

Was threatened and the caller was trying to put the fear of god in me!!

I had received multiple calls from this number.  I called their toll-free number 1-866-897-9079 and talked to a person in their office.  First he told me the name of the person they had listed at my number, when I told him it was not me, and we confirmed the last time they had called my number, he said he would delete the number from their contact information.  He was polite and even apologized. I am hopeful this resolves the issue, if not I will be more forceful the next time I call them.

i am getting harrassing calls looking for chris and mary decker. I dont know who they are and they wont stop calling.

Received numerous calls from this company over the past few months. They deceptively use alternating area codes and phone numbers to disguise their identity on caller ID. They sometimes use a prerecord voice message via an IVR asking for you to "retrieve this message" by calling 949-812-4680, not supplying an 800 # as FDCPA requires. They leave voice messages and call with no messages multiple times on the same day, also an FDCPA violation. They do not identify themselves on the recordings or even when you call them, which again is another FDCPA violation. They also block their number when calling as unknown, and a feminine sounding man requests a call back referencing your property address, saying he (or she) has a question about the property address, deceptively alluding to other reasons for the call to prompt you to return the call. This company has never mailed a letter to me to identify the purpose of their contact, which again is an FDCPA violation. The FDCPA requires the agency to send a Debt Validation Notice to the consumer within 5 days after contact. The Validation Notice provides the consumer with information pertaining to the contact, who is contacting you and why, and provides the consumer with their rights to dispute the validity of any debt, etc. This notice (or any other notice) was never sent to me.

I called this company back and spoke with a man who had a heavy Hispanic accent, who was very rude and over talked me. He refused to identify the company or the reason for the calls, laughed and hung up on me. Not even an hour after my contact with this man my wife and I started receiving calls as if we were calling each other. I called our phone company and they confirmed we were victims of "Spoofing". It is a terrible coincidence that right after I called and spoke with this company my wife and I started receiving such calls; especially when this company calls us repeatedly using fictitious numbers that they program into their software in an effort to misrepresent themselves to get you to answer the phone.

I also mailed them a certified letter demanding that they Cease and Desist to the address listed and it came back rejected. I called and spoke with the post office in that city zip code and the carrier confirmed that the company in question "refuses to accept certified mail". This is just another example of their deceptive practices.

I have filed a complaint with the FTC, Attorney General, and other regulatory agencies. I URGE all of you to file such complaints with regulatory agencies so they will investigate this entity and bring them to justice. There is strength in numbers and we ALL need to fight back!

I have also received several messages from several differet people and from different phone numbers. I finally spoke to a Mr. Steve Diangelo. I asked him to dend me backup paperwork for the dept that I supposed to own.  He stated that paperwork had been sent in the past & I ignored it. He threatened me with a law suit several times and then said "just wait until you get a job".  This is an outright threat!!!

I just filed a complalaint with the FTC regarding threatening and harassing call from several "people" at this company.  It is very simple and can be done in a matter of minutes on-line.  They repeatedly commit perjury on the phone, saying that I said something, that I did not.

Received call 12/08/2010.  Did not call back, will not call back.  Why would anyone who received this call knowing they have no debt even talk to these people.  JUST HANG UP!!!

I got a message stating they are calling in reference to property I own and they requested I call them immediately. They never stated what the call really was pertaining to and later they called back with a blocked number

these people keep calling asking for someone that does not live here.  they are very very rude.  i want to report them.

These people called my son first and told him they were going to take my house away if I did not pay on I dedt I had. Since my son was so upset I called them. They have been harresing me ever since.They even called my son and wanted to do a conference call with me. He told them no but got very upset. When I called them back and asked for all the info they had and an address, Steve DeAngelo told me I had to send a money gram for the amount I owed and even tod me to go to Walmart so he would recieve it in ten minutes. I told him I was reporting him and hung up. He is now telling me he is suing me. Good luck since I really don't have much

I fell for it!!!!!! I lost $1600 on this scam all adding up to a year ago. Why I didn't see the flags till this morning I don't know.  Feel like a fool!!!!!!! What can I do now to stop this from happening to others???

Left a message saying that if I didn't get back to him by tomorrow at 10a.m. that he could not help me.  Come to find the phone call wasn't even for me and that he was looking for my mother in law and that he was rude and called me a negative person because i wouldn't give him information. I hung up on him and now he will probably call back again cause he is very persistant.

Started calling yesterday. 4 Times in one day. Left automated messages all day yesterday. Today left nasty voicemail saying Keith Williams is the one who is trying to reach you and now you know. Now call us back at 714-380-5862 regarding file #926610. Very nasty and rude. Tried calling back and only get machine. They won't even say who they are looking for on the message. Have never recieved any mail from this company so not sure who they are looking for since then never say.

This number called my 63 yo mother today looking for my husband's ex-wife.  That relationship ended 10+ years ago!  We live in different areas and I haven't ever met the ex nor has my mother! How do these people get their information?  I don't get how they can link my mother to this person's debt.  They did tell her that they would take her number off their records.

These people have been calling me for about a year and a half on my cell and home phone but no letters.they have my name correct but won't say what it is pertaining to.like an x-girlfriend u just have to not answer.these people are kinda funny if u think about it. I think I will answer next time and see how mad I can get them. Have some fun with it.
