I got calls from these guys, not wanting to give much information, asked for me and knew my social, and all sorts of info. Tried telling me about court summons that were supposedly sent to me that I never received and tried to tell me I had to pay them $1200 immediately, and when I said no, they then came back and said they'd settle for $605.00 by the 27th of this month. What in the hell...? What's actually going on with these people?

If they have your Social Security number, do yourself a favor and change your PIN numbers on all your accounts, also give an extra security word pass to your bank. Do not use your mother's maiden name as a security question, and make your PIN numbers difficult and long with symbols, numbers, and letters not associated with dates such as birthdays.
These people are not bill collectors, they are thieves and will call you again and again representing themselves as salesmen, i.e.- home security systems, health products, etc. Each time they contact you or a member of your household, they try to get enough info to steal from your credit cards or bank account. If they sell you something and get your card number and combine that with the other info, they have you!!!!

No no no, I pulled my credit report and found out that a yr ago these people got access to my credit somehow and it shows that i have no accounts with them.  they are bottom feeders who try to scam people who dont know better in these hard times.  Since when is someone allowed to just pull anyones credit with out their consent?

Hell with Civil, lets do class action.  Im in, who else is in ?  email me at yahoo to my name up there.

To Whom It May Concern:

I have pulled the credit report of my husband and myself and I see that you have done an inquiry to one or both of our credit reports without our prior written authorization.  There are no accounts that World Wide Recoveries LLC and all known alias’ own, or has any other rights to.  I have done research on your company and know that I would only be wasting my money to send this to you certified, as you would reject it, I am faxing this to you and I will be printing a fax confirmation sheet as proof that this notice invoking our rights has been received by your office.  

This correspondence shall serve as formal written notification that I am invoking my rights pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as amended at Title VII Section 801 et seq. (15 U.S.C. 1601 et seq., the “Act”) and hereby instructing you that you are to cease any further communications with me (Section 805 (c)), the consumer, as that term is defined at Section 805(d) of the Act, or any of my friends, relatives, acquaintances or associates.

Please be advised that your failure to comply with this instruction shall be considered a violation of Section 805 and deemed to constitute harassment and abuse pursuant to Section 806 of the Act for which I will seek legal remedies.

Watch for a new angle in the mail, especially if you have mentioned contactting the State Attorney on this complaints board.  I was sent a letter by a law office stating they can represent me to stop the harassment,  they make a good pitch but I think they are the same scammers trying to dig for more personal info.   The point here is I contacted the State Attorney, not these people.  By they way ,  Worldwide Scumbags or whoever you are,  my State Attorney and the California State Attorney have responded back to me and are launching a look into your activities,  I'm sure they have a laundry list of criminal offenses ready to throw your way.  I applaud everyone that is involved in reporting this criminal enterprise.  Patience is a virtue,  we all look forward to the day when everyone in the Worldwide Recoveries ring is exposed and jailed.

Find an attorney that goes after debt collectors, the register your phone with the do not call registry, go to the Federal Trade Commission website.   Under current law you can sue these people for the harrassment,  I'm in the process right now,  my attorney will get paid through the settlement.  
From what I read on this complaints board justifies most everyone in taking advantage of the current Federal Law that punishes these people for their violations.  I'm not a sue happy person,  I feel if these guys get away with people not knowing the law is wrong  ,  and I am compelled to let everyone know that they have to pay for violations of the law.  You need a lawyer to file the case.  The only way to make these thugs stop is to keep hitting them with lawsuits and informing the FTC, FBI, and STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICES.  Report them to the BBB also in each state to warn others,  they operate out of California but set up phone lines and fake locations throughout the state to avoid detection,  I have no idea why the authorities have not busted this ring and sent them to prison.  The are easy to trace,  they go by a number of aliases but you can link their phone numbers.   Keep a log and record what they say.  Good luck !

I reciver a call from this Devil I call him, he was so nasty and sooooooooooo rude. This Devil didn't have professsional bone in his body.He threating me ,He belittle me. When I was trying to make payment arrangerments, he didn't want the money that I was trying to send him. He said that he already talking to the courts that the police office going to serve papers to me. I said the way he was talking to me I rather go to court. Dan came after me like mean Dog ready to eat me up, You could not get word in he was doing all the talking, then he play like he was calming me down and get off the phone ,then get back on the phone and say are you calm down ?. He made me sooooooooo mad I call him devil, Devil, Devil.This man was playing with my emotion and mind. God don't like that, He will reap what he sow. The name of the company worldwide recoveries. Another thing I do believe they want your Bank Infro because I ask for there address he didn't wanted give me the address. Im saying to my self that stupid. These people don't have professional bone in there body, because I never had a collected talk to me like Dan the Devil did.He was so rude and sooooooooooo nasty. yes I got a message on my home phone from this phone#714-380-5875 yesterday that they have been trying to reach me & did not leave the person's name that they're trying to reach.  I just erased .the message & ignore them. they really have time & money to waste to harass people.

This Company, or should say Companies, and several aliases claiming to be Dept Collectors. I found out that this Company of many names, is being investigated by Law enforcement officials all over the U.S. BEWARE THAT YOUR PHONE COMPANY MAYBE GIVING INFORMATION AND PHONE NUMBERS WITH ACCESSING FILES THROUGH THE CREDIT COMPANIES. They are able to access present and past numbers that you and your families had or have. Unlisted numbers some how find there way into their offices. The only way for them to access this is by the phone companies that are affiliated with A LOCAL PHONE COMPANY in some way of form. FBI have many Companies that they are looking into for complaints and are getting more and more info from State Reps. Everything that this Company is doing is ILLEGAL. IF YOUR PHONE COMPANY IS AFFILIATED WITH THESE PEOPLE IN SOME WAY, YOU NEED TO CALL THEM AND LET THEM KNOW THAT THEY ARE DOING AN ILLEGAL PRACTACE WITH THEM! Ask them how was your unlisted phone number or numbers from you and other members of your family retrieved. Some phone companies charge extra for unlisted phone numbers. If that has been breeched, then the phone company owe's you money back. Don't let the phone company tell you that they can't do anything about this, because they are lying to you. Remind them that they are under the State and Federal FCC rules and they are breaking them by giving personal info. Just remember that if they can get a phone number, thay can get an address also. From the way that these people operate, I dont think I would trust my family alone.
