Report a phone call from 775-412-4499 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- DingoBTW forgot to mention the debt they told me I owed was from 1989....I don't think any state will allow for that.
Make your Attorney General aware of the calls, and FYI none of the so called debts ever has turned up on my credit report.
Crooks and they should be put in jail - BettMy father got a call from this number and he called me. He said they were calling him a lot about DIRECT TV, which I know they don't have. So, I called the number to help him out. They said "You are calling from XXX-XXX-XXXX (which is my number)and we're looking for a DH." Funny, that's not my name and I'm not calling on my number's behalf. She then said, "Oh, we took the number off the list yesterday. It appears we had the wrong number." Yeah right. I just told you I was calling on someone else's behalf and that my name isn't DH, which is why you took the number off. They wanted for me to verify my father's last four. Seriously? You take me for an idiot? How insulting.
Thanks to this website I can assure my father not to answer the phone when this number appears. If they really needed to get a hold of you for such an important matter, they'd be sending letters too. It's a shame the cost of postage went up. I guess they can't afford to send out letters too. - aka_bubbaI gave them a funny as hell ringtone, that way I don't waste my time
looking to see who it is.But now I get to laugh everytime they call and also
anyone standing close enough to hear the ring, lol
So have fun with it.They do try using more then one number,so don't answer if you are not sure.I gave each number the same ring tone once I knew who it was
after I listen to the message. The first number I named it [***] then the second one I named it [***] 2,lol But they both got the same ring tone, lol - Nodebt DebbieGetting calls twice a day now. I never answer phone it goes to voicemail. The message is automated and always cut off. Debt collector working old debts... Don't bother to answer SOL is 4 years in my neck of the woods.
- VictimizedThese people keep calling me regarding some supposedly outstanding debt that is not mine. I explained to them that my identity was stolen and had a police report as well as a letter from the irs backing this up but yet they continue to harrass me said they did not care to see the documentaion and that I was lying. It is bad enough that i have been violated by some stranger who stole my identity I know have to put up with this unprofessional organization harrasing me. I do understand that they make thier money by how much they collect but have some common sense and maybe a little integrity. I f they can go home and sleep well at night i feel sorry for them and will defenitely pray for them
- annoyedAnother collection call for Rodney Runyon, the person who had my phone number before me. This nonsense has been going on for three years. He's a deadbeat and the calls come in spurts when a new collection agency gets his account.
Toyed with the idea of changing my phone number but decided against that. I have spoken with other people and some have been getting these type of calls for another person for over six years. I might check into the AG suggestion. - SuzieI just got my first call from this number and looked it up. I realized that it is the same people who sent me a settlement letter 2 days before they wanted the first payment. This debt is from over 7 years ago and the little bit of money they want is a tiny balance and a WHOLE LOT OF INTEREST that was added on. I am absolutely just not answering the phone and they didn't leave a message. No way someone is coming to get me for this when I haven't heard anything in this long. I assumed I paid it off. Not on my credit report anymore. I believe Statute of Limitations is 7 years.
- GuessI agree with Shilo: it is time we all start reporting this type of thing to the FTC and also FCC. I suggest starting contact with a "Thank you for going after those auto warranty robo-calls"..... and here is something else you should add to your investigations list.
(Hey, as a former federal law enforcement employee, I can tell you that if you take a little time and effort and get your message to the right department, it will be taken care of. One or two reports will establish a file but not open an investigation. Multiple reports will establish that there is a pattern and this gets the Feds attention and action can begin.
As for this particular 775-412-4499 number, I answered the call on the one phone in house w/o caller ID. The recorded message indicated they were looking for an individual and if call was received in error, to press "2". I pressed "2" and message was received indicating transfer to appropriate operator....nobody picked up so after several seconds, I hung up, called it back with ID block on my end and got recording nobody was available. I left message indicating displeasure with their unprofessionalism and advised they were being reported to the Feds. - MundrickThese people call me 5 times a day at exactly the same times. I've even managed to notice a pattern.
Call 1 [8am] - Asks for 'Henry Stutton'. Caller is female
Call 2 [12pm] - Asks for 'Ingrid Prethers'. Caller has indian accent.
Call 3 [1pm] - Asks for 'Veronica Wilkins'. Caller has heavy London accent.
Call 4 [6pm] - Asks for 'Josephine Lollick'. Caller is male.
Call 5 [9pm!] - Asks for 'Martha Drake'. Caller is male.
I receive 5 calls per day, on these EXACT times. I always answer, simply to validate my theory which is detailed to precise above. These 5 calls always occur at the same times and ask for the same person and seem to be made by the same person as well.
This needs to stop. I am reporting them, and all must do the same in order to secure some action against these people. Their behaviour is not acceptable. - Cliff in TucsonI use a piece of software called Identafone that blocks any number I put in it. They, call I immediately add the new number. Works like a charm!
To set this up you need the following:
1. A computer with modem installed.
2. Hook the phone line to one side of the modem(line) and the phone to the other(phone)
3. Open the software, keep it open and start adding your numbers. Check the box to block when they call. Keep the software up and running.
Software is free for 14 days so that you can try it.
You can leave them a nice phone message if you want.
They just called again with the new number and it got blocked! Sweet!
I am in no way affiliated with Identafone other then I use the product.
http://www.identafone.com/ - jacksonIf I don't recognize the name or number, I let my answering machine do it. I then delete these harassing calls. Get them from this number and multiple others - whoever had this number in the past must have been a real deadbeat! I don't answer and my blood pressure stays at normal....

- KevinSomeone called me from this number and asked if someone was here. The person they asked for no longer lives here. But they were rude and hateful and asked me why I answered the phone. I answered it because they said to answer it. It was one of the options. I didn't know who it was, but I no longer want them to call me.
- jackThis robot keeps calling me on my cell most of the time they just hang up but then they called right back and it was a recorded message. I now know more than I needed to about someone they are looking for. This is dangerous as they are leaving message with personal information.

- trfJust got a call from these guys today. I never answer my phone if I don't recognize the number, so it went to VM. I had to laugh because it was a automated system that said I had "3 seconds to disconnect" if I was not so & so, it was a private matter and (again) I had "3 seconds" to listen in private. After reading all the blogs, these people are total idiots.
DON'T change your phone number! Does no good, and is a major hassel for you, not to mention will cost you in many cases. You can't talk or reason with these guys, so don't waste your time there. Options? There are several. 1) Get everyone together and file a class action suit against them. Been done before and can easily be done again. 2) File a complaint with the FTC. Kind of "iffy", and probably won't get a response. 3) If you have a lawyer, get him to handle it. 4) Send a letter to your state representative, detailing the issue. With the new credit laws just enacted, they will be more apt to listen and guide you.
If you ignore it, they will just continue to call and hound you. That's what they get paid to do! I am more than willing to join a class action, if anyone else wants to join. Just email me at rogueknight@gmx.com.
Hope this helps! - trfAdditional information to previous post:
Look at these websites...they will show that you can sue unethical creditors, and get monitary compensation for doing so. If everyone started doing this, it wouldn't be long before a stop was put to this!
