I'm am so sick of bottom feeders harassing people and breaking the law! My solution for these people was to just assign a custom ring tone to this number (MUTE). So now, when they call, my phone doesn't even ring!

I didn't answer this number but they left an urgent message for me to call them back.  I checked the internet as soon as I got the call and the first things that popped up was this blog about Finger Hut accounts.  I have never had a Finger Hut account either and should not be receiving phones calls concerning Finger Hut.

Got a call from this number on my companies 24 hour IT Support phone.
I've carried this phone for over 3 years, and this same number was carried by a colleague for a couple years prior to that.
For the past 10 months, this phone has received daily collection calls for a Kimberly Johnson - nothing but pre-recorded messages.  Finally a human called in March and realized they had the wrong party, and the calls ceased.
But the calls have resumed from new numbers

These scum have been harassing my family for years for a $25.00
purchase made by my deceased daughter 8 years ago.
I switched my phone service to a voip company called  Phone Power which allows me to block their call, and they get nothing but a busy signal.  No more trouble from these maggots, or any others for that matter..

i had this umber call me meltiople times and i finally answered. what i got was a recorded voice asking me if i was joanna, i don't even no anyone named that so pushed or the number to answer no, then an operator answered asked me an address i said no and she kindly removed me from there list. im not saying its the same for everyone but we are humans we can talk things out, not pretend to be a cop or yell at an operator who is probally 17 and is doing this job to pay off her car and help her parents out with the bills like my sister is. don't drop to there level, talk calmly don't get aggitated, remember "slow and steady wins the race".

I recieved a call from the (775) 412-4488 number today, roughly 20 minutes ago. I didn't recognize the number, and there was no name so I shunted it to voicemail. Oh look... a hang-up voicemail. So, using info from THIS site (thank all of you), I called them right back. The woman who ansered responded "First National Colection Bereau"... so no doubt, John Felker was right back in 08 about who these chuckleheads are.

Everyone who's speculated that this company is buying VERY old, nearly uncollectable debts is TRUE. I'm half greek, and apparantly my last name is similar (by which I mean, both are Greek) enough that they call ME. Now, to their credit, they're not the first to do this; I've explained to a succession of debt collectors that I am not in fact this man, which they can easily tell from our TOTALLY DIFFERENT NAMES.

Again, to their credit, I was promised that they would continue their search elsewhere. Their practices are clearly suspect, but they are buying real debts... even if they're not bothering to figure out who actually HAS the debt. I'm guessing that a lot of this "you're a liar" stuff I'm readng about here, is a result of them being a collector of absolute last resort. In other words, they go after deadbeats... but they're deadbeats too. The result?.. 8 pages of people here getting harrassed because this company can't do its homework OR follow the law.

FTC complaint filed, but with a notation that so far they've been responsive.

Some people have called back (775) 412-4499 with no luck, or a recording. The trick? They don't block *67 calls! That's right... these shmucks don't block the kind of call they harrass you with! So, if you want to talk to a person, either look up First National Credit Beureau (which is a name intentionally designed to sound official... but it is NOT) or call them right back, after hitting *67 . How beautiful is that? Oh, and for people baffled by why they're being called...they buy a debt and try to collect. They do NO RESEARCH. So whatever is handed to them by the previous debt collector (they are last in line I think), is the info they have.

Thus, if you tell them you are NOT the person in question... they may accept that fact or not based on who you talk to, because they have no actual info beyond your name and number. Well, not YOUR name and number... usually they're calling for someone who is deceased, long gone from the region, or who knows. I don't know how old the debts they're working are, but they will try and use bully tactics to either "settle" illegally (they don't care if you are the actual debt-holder)... or harass you. Call your phone company and block their number, file an FTC complaint, and realize that they are NOT a valid agency.

I'm sure they must actually find SOME debtors, but clearly they use a "shotgun" approach with the choke WIDE OPEN. For those who don't shoot skeet or hunt... it means they're shooting at the side of a barn with a howitzer on "wide" spread.

I get calls from these people and others like them all the time. I think the next time they call I'm going to have some fun. Hello I am here, and when they ask for someone Iam just going to say Hello again and ask if they have someone that speaks some langage that I might make up or that not too many people know, if they get a translator i will tell them in English that as the company doesn't seem to understand English maybe they can help them. I'm getting old and I haven't played telephone games for about 50 years.

775-412-4499 I get those calls a lot but I just ignore them! I have earthlink on my PC phone line (not a land line!!), which gives me option to block unwanted calls. When those criminals call, all they get is ringing... forver and no answer! :DDD

Calls are now coming in during my lunch hour.
Also, the automated voice recording they are using has adopted a British / Aussie accent.  This time it asked me to press 2 if I was not Kim Johnson.  Of course, rather than removing you from their call list, it tried to forward the call to someplace else, so I hung up.  I haven't got time to play their [***] games (unless they'll consent to my billing them $250 per hour for a Information Technology support call.

I'm a 14 year old girl getting calls from company. I'm not even old enough to have a credit card or any debt! How the hell did they get my number? They called me 3 times before. I never answer to numbers that I don't know. I've gotten calls from this number and a couple other numbers claiming bullcrap. What should I do? It's not like I can block them because I've seen different numbers.

They call my business constantly looking for someone who has not worked for us in years. I keep telling them this and they say they will end the calls but that never happens.

I just received a call from this number 777-412-4499.  She claimed that I had an account that was owed from back in 2001 from AT&T.  The funny thing is, I never had an account with AT&T, and in fact I lived Germany during that time frame.  She said she was a collection agency from Reno,NV.  She said that notice was sent to my mail box saying I have 30 days to pay it.  I never received anything in the mail.  She said it was sent I need to check my mail box more often.  I checked my credit report and none of this was on it.  I think this is a fraud.

In addition, if these people call me again looking for a debt that I do not owe, I am going to call the police with this number and report them for harrassment and what I think is attempted fraud since I received no notice and account validation.  She didn't even try to re-request an invoice or have any information on account balance, or address when I asked and rushed off the phone once I asked information.
