this number have been calling and leaving weird messages.i looked up the number and its calling from Nevada.Don't know what its calling for but thought its weird leaving weird messages......

Got a hang-up voicemail from this number today.
I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer.
I have a policy of "first time callers can leave a voicemail".

I just received a call from 775-412-4499.  They left a message, but it is indecipherable.  I had a call a year ago from a collector for an account that I had paid off.  I warned him that I would call my state's attorney general's office if he did not stop.  He continued, I wrote a letter to the attorney general, with the name of the caller, his company and phone number and an explanation of the situation. The attorney general handled my complaint, and I have not heard from this guy since.

I suggest calling or writing your state's attorney general office. Also, if your state has a credit report "freeze law," use it.  These people cannot access your account without your approval. The only companies that can access your account are the companies for which you have an open account.

I recently purchased a new car. I didn't tell the salesman that I had a freeze on my credit report.  When he tried to run the report, he couldn't get it. I had to call the 800 number, enter my code to get it released. You can also release your report and close it at designated time intervals.  For example, I authorized the report to remain open for only two days.

I am stubborn beyond belief, and these unscrupulous collection agencies have no idea of my resolve.  I just ignore them.  I don't answer.  When I get tired of them, I will contact the attorney general again.  There is a statute of limitations, and they have to abide by it.

This number, 775-412-4499 keeps calling our Company Fax Line. We've received 17 calls in less than a week.

This is not meant as a criticism of any of those who have posted their experiences for this phone number.  When I read that some were informed by the caller from a debt collection agency that it was THEIR responsibility to get information about the debt and that if they had not checked their credit report in the last 3 years, they were in trouble.  Well, the federal Fair Trade Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.S.C. sec.1692 states in paragraph 809 that "five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, that debt collector must send the consumer a written notice which contains (1) the amount of the debt; (2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed; (3) a statement that unless the consumer, within 30 days after receipt of the notice, disputes the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, the debt will be assumed to be valid by the debt collector."  This is not the end of that section, but it would be wise advice for these folks to simply go online and get a copy of this document which is available in PDF format and then they would be able to inform those crooks who are calling them that they are guilty of illegal actions against them.  Then see waht this does to the calls.

They called me once and I didn't answer it was actually reading comments on this website when they called back a second time. This time I answered and pressed the '2' button and it took about five minutes of waiting but someone finally answered, they were looking for a Theresa, advised them no such person at this number, the gentleman that answered apologized and said my number would be removed. They were polite, just be patient waiting for them to answer.

They won't stop calling here. We have had this phone number for two years and they are constantly calling for David Largo. When told that he does not have this number and to remove it from their list, they give me the "48-72 hour" speech. They are still calling. I don't answer it anymore. Very, very irritating.

This number was provided by someone earlier.  Just call it and tell them the person they are trying to reach is no longer living there.  I did this and the girl was polite and said she would remove the number.

This number calls - lets it go to voicemail - but as soon as it goes into the voicemail they hang up - No message left.

I got a call from them today and seemed to be bill collectors but I have never had a fingerhut account and didn't even know what fingerhut was until searched for it. Whoever they are it appears as from Reno, Nevada. The guy asked me for someone I don't know, but didn't elaborate, when asked him back what does this concern and he simply said 'a business matter' which to me usually means a scam or bill collectors.

2 calls regarding a bill I don't know anything about

They have called me 10 times everyday for the past 4 days and never leave a message.
They call during my work hours when I can not answer my cell phone but never leave a message pertaining to the business at which they are calling.
I refuse to call a number that is un familiar to me and refuses to leave a message.
If this is a telemarketing call, the should not be calling me since I am on the DO NOT CALL list.

08-21-09 about 12:40PM - Blank voicemail - called back - They are calling to collect a 10 year old debt they say was from AT&T. I don't remember this debt and the address they have for me is 12 years old but they have my current cell phone number.

I receive many calls from this number 775-412-4499, some are recordings and others are in person asking for Suzette. I received two cals yesterday,Aug.20 and one at about noon and one at 6:35 PM. This has been going on for approximtely four months. Several times I talked to people calling and told them we got this number last November and that I never heard of anyone by the name of Suzette.

Got 2 calls today on my work phone from this number.  Since I don't answer calls from numbers & don't recognize, I let voice mail pick it up...& it turned out to be 2 hangups.
I went back & re-read some of the original postings about this number & it seems the number is somehow connected to FingerHut...used to get their catalogs several years ago, but never orered anything from them.

I start getting calls from them 775-412-4499. Some recorded mesage say that if I am so&so, to continue to listen and if not, to hang up. As..... they think that they will decide what I listen to at my home???

When these nitwits call, they do not say anything but repeatly call- my Caller ID shows it listed as cell number and the number; this is the same agency calling itself First National Collection Bureau as they give a number from NV as 775-412-4499. This is non stop every day, sometimes 3-4 times a day.

I get calls from this number multiple times a day - No messages - just hang ups. Really getting annoying!

I just got a call 10 minutes ago with a hang up voice message.  This number has been calling every once in a while and I too don't pickup unless I recognize the number or person. Good thing I just got caller ID.
