    This is data usage, somebody on your account or yourself if either;

    1. Using Get It Now without a data plan
    2.MMS(Picture Messaging) without a Pix plan
    3. Tethering aka #777 data.

    My parents had a similar problem with their verizon service this month.  They own a krazor, which according to earlier posts, seems to be a problem.  Some of these explanations offered so far don't fit the bill for them, though.  They have  a monthly phone bill of just under $50.  Their bill this month was $560.  They checked their itemized billing and discovered this number.  It showed that it was connected to this number from 6:00 p.m. Sunday until 9:00 p.m. Monday.  Over 24 hours of usage!  My parents don't use any of the data, they really don't know how to.  Occassionally they will receive a picture text from somone else in the family, but that's very occassional and not recently.  They are the only ones that have access to their phone, so no one else is sneaking on there and surfing the web or texting.  So the idea that this is just them overusing data functions just isn't plausible.  There is something very wrong going on with verizon's service if there are so many people experiencing the same problem.  I agree that this is something they need to look into, fix, and take more seriously instead of just trying to deal with it one complaint at a time.  Obviously there have been enough complaints to warrant more action on their part.

    It's kinda screwed up because I broke my phone on 6/20/08 I haven't replaced it. I was told not to use the phone so much and it wouldnt happen.hello AT&T guess i'll be signing a new contract and verizon can kiss it

    The number 7770000001 has been showing up on my bill, and is described as data.  This is at unusual times, during the night and uses minutes.  What is it, or who is it.

    I was charged over $600 from this month alone from this number only.

    I text and use mobile web quite a bit, but this month was no different, and I am being charged like a mofo.  Does this have anything to do with the new mobile IM update?

    No way I'm paying for it.

    Aug -08.I was charged over $250 for the same phone number. Verizon says its due to surfing the web with "get it now"and not calls. Someones either hacking in or Verizon is conspiring with the government on this.(and no I'm not a conspiracy theorist) I filled out a complaint with the FCC but since they are a government agency nothing will probably happen. Also will not be renewing my contract with Verizon.

    My mother in law just called me and told me my portion of our plan was 128 bucks this month.....mine should only be like 20 bucks tops. i almost never use minutes -- unless its someone who already has verizon.. and we have unlimited texting. so she told me that there are like 40 calls just in one month for 7770000001. i told her i've never even heard of that number before. i tried calling it from the house phone and it was just silence. i looked through my actual phone and that number is no where on there -- but apparently its on the bill

    I just got off the phone with verizon.. they told me Im being charged 1min for every pix message sent or recieved. we have the unlimited text and pix but it still uses 1 min airtime. after the lady looked into she said it is because of the family plan I have ( which is no longer aval.) charges airtime for pix message. But she then said the new nationwide plan does not charge airtime for pix. so she changed my plan which is the same cost. so now it wont charge airtime for the pix which does show up as that 777-000-0001 number. the only other diff. is if I browse get it now it will charge by the MB. I can live without get it now. if im not going to use airtime for pix message. so I would call verizon and check your calling plans. we had ours for like 3 years so this new plan came out sometime after that.

    No way is it what Verizon is saying.  My bill was constantly $150 per month.  Unlimited text, pics and data.  Now it has gone over $400 per month for the last 2 months.  I am calling verizon and since my 2 year contract is up I might be cancelling.

    I too am getting this number on my bill, and after three calls to Verizon - and three different answers - I started testing. One test worked, I sent a picture message and wrote down the time, then checked my bill. Sure enough, got the 777 number at the exact time I sent the msg. I called Verizon and they finally fessed up that every incomming and outgoing picture message will use up one min. on my plan.

    Here you go! another verizon scam. I called them about the same problem and they credited me back. On my bill it looked that I called the number, 777-000-0001, and I while I was on the line with this number ( for 466 minutes I was connected to the number again (for another 260 minutes ), at a time that i was sleeping!!!! and the number was used continuously for 712 minutes. i was on the phone with verizon for about an 1 hour and tech support declared it was a mistake!!!!! so, watch out!!!

    I found this numbere show up and I waas not charged for it.  I talked to my provided and they related to me that the 777 covers a code for date being tranmitted fro your phone to some one else or on the web.  The represenative put a blocker on the number so it can not longer be used or transmitted.  So ask you cell company about putting a block on the 777-000-0001 number and that should stop it.  If you loose some type of service such as tex-ing or sending pictures, web stuff etc, then you need to once again ask your provider what's going on and what can they do to fix it.  My provider put the block on for free, didn't cost anything to have it done or will it cost to have it removed.  That's my story, hope this helps those of you with all those question of whats going on.  Hey its your phone....Take charge :)
