777-000-0001
Report a phone call from 777-000-0001 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- RobertI just got off the phone with verizon about my bill showing the same number. They said it was from accessing the internet via get it now. I went to get ring tones. The customer service rep said that every time you change pages the timer resets and rounds up to the next minute. If you click through three pages, ie "back", view, etc in one minute you will be billed for three minutes. I told her that was rediculous and her response was, that's just how our system is set up. Beware.
- Julie TotmanWho or what is the number and why are they calling?
- LindaMy son was in the hospital with a brain injury and this number appeared on my bill as called from his phone. So I read all of the comments here and wonder does it do this automatically

- ShaneI just received a $550 phone bill for this Data CL 7770000001 calls. One after the other, all on the 24th of Sept. I don't text with this phone, I don't surf the internet with the phone, and it never leaves my side, so I know my son isn't messing with it (which he has his own phone anyway). I'll call Verizon tomorrow. They are usually pretty good at taking care of crap like this, but it definitely takes awhile to get through to the right person. If not, I guess I would rather have an I-Phone with ATT anyway.
- vickiwe also had hundreds of calls with this number on 4 out of the 5 lines we have. I called customer service and they said we must be accessing get it now stuff - which we do NOT do - she said it must be accidentally getting hit - that's a crock since we wouldn't be doing that 100's of times by accident either, as well as the fact my daughter's phone isn't even Get It Now compatible ?! and there are blocks on app. downloads & get it now on their phones. She said when the blocks were put on there was a bug in it so she corrected it by removing the block and putting it back on - I'm not buying it, since the other phones without the blocks are 2 of our phones that I know for sure no one was accidentally accessing any get it now anything nor the web or anything. I'll keep watching, but I'm assuming the problem is far from fixed and they'll continue to bill us for these which sucks up our monthly minute allotment. WHAT A CROCK>>>
- Mad MamaThis number caused my minutes to go over this month

- M.PI had a huge bill due to this 777-000-0001 number. Like every one is saying, it is for the data but if you call and complain, they will remove the charge as a "one time courtesy”. Although my issue was resolved, I still find it classless for them to charge these sneaky fees even when you don’t use the “Get it Now” applications.

- William LaMonicaOne of my employees ran up $1650.00 for 1 month on this no. His service is $60.00 a month.
- Teri JMy daughter is receiving calls repeatedly from this number!
- Teri JHello all, I have found out that the numbers are valid in this way:
777-000-0001 refers to the sending of pics to another phone. Even if you have unlimited pic/txt pkg, it will use your air time by 1 to 2 minutes.
000-000-0086 refers to calling your voicemail box!
Please call Verizon and ask if you have any more questions on these as I just did. Thanks, Teri - Brian GI too have found this number on my sons bill. I spent hours on the phone with the Verizon helpless desk and now understand what this is. When a "data call" is made from a phone that is on an Americas Choice Family Plan (i.e. One of their old plans) AND that phone does not have a data plan, data access is charged by the minute. This billing is logged as the infamous 777-000-0001 number. So what constitutes a data call? Use of a web browser on your phone, use of get it now, VCAST, mobile chat, etc. Basicly anything that is not a phone call.
Here is where it gets interesting: some of the services pull from your minutes and an additional charge is assessed only if you are over on your minutes, others log a charge whether you are over on your minutes or not. This really adds to the apparent randomness of the billing.
I'm frankly surprised that Verizon has not been hit with a class action suit on this. Since they are clearly unable to explain what they are charging ar why they are charging it and the confusion over the billing is rampant, I don't think that they could successfully defend the charges in court. There are basically three things a company has to prove to substantiate billing charges: What they charged, why they charged it, and that they have the right to assess the charge. They definitely fail on the why they charged it part. If they cannot PROVE why they charged it, it becomes much more difficult to prove that they had the right to assess the charge. - UnhappyI don't download ringtones, surf the web, and have unlimited txt and pics. My minutes were over this month, and now have to go back and check all past monthly bills. I'm writing here because I have a Crazer phone I got in Sep 07, maybe it's a phone thing? But no matter, it's a Verizon problem it seems, and I also have long strands of calls to this # all lasting 1 minute each and going on for 20-60 minutes at a time. When this number appears, I'm at work using my phone in the office, not my cell phone. I live in Maui, Hawaii-don't know if that has something to do with it either. I'm posting here to try to establish a link with phone or location in the US.
- JessicaHad $118 in overage charges due to this number. Just went round and round with a Verizon rep who (after trying to blame it on me downloading ring tones and other erroneous claims) finally blamed it on the Back Up Assistant application. Apparently this application went bonkers and was attempting to back up 20+ times per day rather than once per day like it is supposed to. She claimed it was working as it should however I have had this on my phone for at least three months and have not had this problem prior to this billing cycle. She was able to credit the overage charges because we're VIP customers (whatever that means!) and once per year VIP customers can have overage charges waived. She then said my choices were to 1) delete the Back Up Assistant or 2) upgrade my plan to the Nation Wide plan. I deleted the application.
- michaelWhy is it everytime someone complains to verizon about this problem, the solution they have is "Upgrade to the Nation Wide Plan"?

- Linkswilerwho is this calling ? I have about 20 calls from this #!
- BevWe have 4 phones on our plan. This number was on my bill a couple of times on the phone my 86 year old Mother uses. She doesn't send or receive pictures or text. I think it is a Verizon problem. Last month on her bill was a charge for Sports Illustrated - Swimsuit Edition. I called and Verizon removed it. I see it is on there again this month. Mother, would you quit looking at those women in the swimsuits!!!!!!!!!!!!
- mad!!!I have just been on the phone with Verizion for the 5th time regarding this phone number which continues to show up monthly on my childs cell phone. They told me it is because she is hitting the get it now button on her phone...this is a bunch of cramp because she is in a private school and doesn't even have her phone when the calls are being logged. Verizon told me to "goggle" this number and I see all these comments with everyone complaining about the same problem. I hope someone at Verizon gets this straigt soon or I am going to contact an attorney. I'm sick of their excuses!!!!
- SammiI am only 12 and I get it on my bill. My dad and I have been removing moving pictures little by little and nothing is working. it started like a month ago when I got Pics and Flix messaging. We have no idea what it is and we brought my phone to a verizon store and the guy said he doesnt know whats wrong with it. If we can't fix it I will have to get a new phone. I am due for a new phone anyway but i think Verizon should have a seperate block for Get It Now (which is how whatever it is, is connecting to the internet and charging us minutes) and also be able to have pic messaging. The thing is definetly connecting gtrom get it now because we turned off my pics and flix and get it now (they are all under 1 thing so you have to turn all off) and the nembers stopped coming. I hope they can fix it soon....
