Received  2 calls from this number,  both times they hung up as soon as I answered. If it's a scam company,  they aren't very good at it.

I called them back, and they said they'd take me off their call list. They also asked for my social and my date of birth. I refused to give them out.

They might be legit but I wasn't comfortable with the response.

I have gotten three calls just today from 800-388-2200. I called the number back the last time. A recorded voice said they were from Citicard and asked for my account number. I hung up.

If this number is legit, why don't they leave a message saying who they are?  They start calling at 9 a.m., and call several times daily, but never leave a message or indication who they are or why they are calling.  I screen all my calls, and do not answer unless someone at least identifies themselves.  On another matter, I spoke to Citi this week and confirmed that all of my accounts are in good order, so I don't trust that it is a legitimate number.

20 - 30 calls from 1 800 388-2200 in the past 2 months- sometimes noise, sometimes foreign accent asking about Citicard

I was also worried and did not rest until I found out is was Citi(collections).

#1- Do not call back any number who calls and leaves a message. Do not give info.
#2- Call # on back of your Citi Debit cards and ask if number in this case 8003882200 is ligit (ie citi)
#3- Ask them to transfer you. They will ask for an account number - again I did not give them but asked them why they were calling
#4- They gave me the name of someone who I did know and applied for a Citi CC while staying for 4 weeks at our house.
They apologized and said that it would take 24-48 hours before the calls stopped.

P.S. If you do not have a Citi account or whoever is calling you can still ask them why they are calling your number and who they want to speak with. This is city collections and they will keep calling until they know the party they are trying to reach is not at your number.

I've been receiving phone calls with no left messages from "Citibank" 1-800-388-2200. Today I decided to answer the phone call from them. Whatever they said (some guy named Michle) is fraud. He asked me to pay over $200.00 over the phone. I asked which account he mentioned. He "created" some account which I never had. I said that if they have some information about my "debt", let them email me. HE hanged up the phone on me. I immediately called CitiBAnk. THIS NUMBER IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THEM.

I am getting multiple calls from this number and its fraud as reported by Citibank.

This number keeps calling me and doesn't leave a message.

800-388-2200 Is  FRAUDULENT - beware.  Very convincing, identifies self as CitiCard,  asks for "CC# or SS#".  I called Citicard and they clarified this is NOT them. They left convincing Vmail as well.

This is actually very convincing, because they leave a number, and when you call back ask you to electronically put in your credit card number or Social Security number.  It's a very convincing, professional recording.  I refused to put him the number, just spoke to representative, I asked her where she was located, she noted that she was in the Philippines, I then told her I ran the  the number through the police department and indeed, the number was fraudulent.  I asked her if this was true and she said "yes" and then hung up.

They keep calling me every day

Another day, another moron, dimwit, nitwit, nincompoop, POS robo caller like we have nothing better to do in our lives.  3 calls from these POS - 12:48 pm on 6/23/16, 4:44 pm on 6/22, 1:42 pm on 6/22.  We pay AT&T $175 each month and this is the POS service we get from them because they keep claiming hackers, robo callers are smarter then they are because they are able to spoof all these #s.  And the moon is made of cheese.  Panaconic Call Blocker is on full alert and this # is blocked.  Now let these POS keep calling because their call will be disconnected after the 1st ring !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Stupidity now the badge of honor in the good old USA where dumb@ss politicians are in business to make sure they keep getting elected till the day they die and get a nice paycheck for doing absolutely nothing in their POS lives !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
