Same here...two calls in two days and no voice mail. ODD.

Left me a voicemail saying he was from FIA card services. They do collections for Bank of America credit cards

I think it might be a scam.  Not sure.  When I called back it was an odd conversation.  I then called fraud services and they showed that no one from BOA or FIA had called my number.  Wish I knew for sure

They called me and had a thick accent saying something about Bank of America. They immediately asked me for my home address and then my date of birth without the year after they already confirmed my name.  I hung up at that point and they didn't call back.  Why would they need so much information when they called me.  Seems very sketchy.

Paid my late BofA card, 4 days later this number start calling. When I called back after hours, just a message "sorry we are close, pls call in buss. hours", then hang up.

I just received a call from the same number (Carmelle).  She wanted to confirm my full address, so I told her to give me the address and I'd confirm it.   She said she couldn't give me the address, I had to confirm with her.  I asked why she could not give me the information and let me confirm it and she said she needed me to provide it, so I told the woman that I wasn't comfortable giving my personally identifiable information to someone over the phone.  She then asked for my date of birth, and again, I told her I wasn't comfortable giving out my PII over the phone when some random person is calling me.  She said she understood, and then turned around and asked me for the last four digits of my social security number.  ?  I told her again that I wasn't going to give out any PII over the phone because I have no idea who she is and I work in communications and know how easy it is to spoof a caller ID.  I asked for the woman's name and the only thing she would tell me was her name and that she was calling on behalf of the Bank of America, and a return phone number of 877-733-5734.  I Googled this number as well and it came up with similar informaiton as this thread.

Since it was most likley a legit call, I checked my credit card online and I had made a payment of $2,000 on a payment that was due (amount due was under $50) about 4-6 weeks ago and I was about two weeks past due, so I don't really think my account would be in collections that fast.  I made another payment.  If the calls continue I'll start to fuss.

For everyone that receives harassing phone calls, go to this website and enter every number that you do not want telemarketers calling.  It may not stop every call, but it will stop most.  www . donotcall . gov.  The FCC will fine telemarketers that call you after that, per call.  You have to wait up to 31 days for the numbers to go through and for the telemarketers to update their list, but after 31 days, you should have some relief.

Got a call on the cell phone.  When I answered they just hung up, no hello, no nothing.  Weird.

calls me on my cell at least 3x a day

calls from 1-800-536-1584.  They call 10 times a day.  wont leave a message.  refuse to take me off of the call list unless we/i verify our account information.  If I say... Id like to call back later with that information, they give me a bogus number.  


My thinking is ... If they were truly trying to connect with us... they would not be giving us bogus numbers for a return call. These calls seem phishy.    

We have called FIA Directly, and been officially removed from their call list call list for some time. These calls persist.  Make it stop?!

They are a Bank of America credit card collector.  FIA Card Services.

Stated they were taking me to court for my Bank of America Student Loan when I don't have one told him you don't call out for court on a saturday and to send a warrant to my house and hung up he called back called police hasn't in three weeks...

FIA Card Services is the caller. They are Bank of America's Debt Collectors.

The best way to defeat these jokers is to log into your Bank of America account
and update your phone number to either a bogus number or a Google Voice number
so you can screen the calls. Within a few days, FIA's computers will be updated
and they'll start calling the Google Voice number. At which time you can adjust the
settings so their call is blocked.

Net Result, no more harassing calls. Then you can get back to paying them on your schedule.
If at all.

I got two calls in five days - they ask for my last four and my full address.  First call, I said no & hung up.  Second call I didnt' answer & "Michele" left a message to call right away about my accounts.

Do not trust this site, but will have to watch accounts very carefully with fraud charges metioned below!

The caller for this number is legit.  Its from FIA card services, formerly Northfork Bank.  They set up special payment plans, etc.  I have been in touch with them for an old credit card for some time now.
