BoA got a HUGE bank bailout. Many people are out of work, doing the best they can with the money they have or just trying to survive. Also, many people are still out of a job or still being laid off. BoA is the least of my concerns as is any company that took bailout money. Also, we have American made cars (Ford) and Ford did not take 1¢ from the bailout.

My pecking order is as follows:

My child first (for any reason)
My wife and I second
Food / Water third (but could be included as first and second as well)
Basic Utilities fourth ( Same as above)
Current CC's Fifth (Paying on time my current open accounts)
Anything, Anyone or Everyone else ---- whatever is left over!
Collection Agency / Agency's ---> Nothing

Very strange people, very shady, i can not put my finger on it but, you dont call a client and the 1st question is: whats the name of (Secret question) than you question them of course they do not give you anything, and keep repeting the same..
I will be complaining about them thats for sure.. Be very carefull, it smells like SCAM

This company calls ALL THE TIME.  Today (Saturday) they called at 8am.  They refused to give information about our account or the reason for the call.  I called Bank of America and they said there were no fraud alerts or overdue balances on our card.  The BOA person didn't even recognize the 1-800-856-1584 telephone number.  Moreover, she said they would never ask for social security numbers, address, maiden names, etc.  They REFUSE to give me any other of their information about themselves (I've requested their mailing address to request all future communications be placed in writing).  This makes me furious that I can't stop these calls!

IF YOU RECEIVE a call, they the caller should not request any personal information.  Call the phone number on the back of your card before sharing information with these people who will hang up on you as soon as you start asking questions about who they are.

I have no  Bnl of America credit card, and I receive these calls at least three time a day. I too have returned the call with no avail. Whats p with these peple. They call my cell phone and never my hoe phone.

I have received several calls from this company, which I do not answer. No one ever leaves a message. If it is in fact a collection agency for BofA, it is calling the wrong person. I refuse to do business with Bank of America, and I have no outstanding debt. I am constantly getting calls from collection agencies for someone who apparently had my phone number years ago. I have had the number for more than 2 years, and still get calls for "Jose Cobio." Enough already!

I keep getting calls from this number. When I am available to answer, no one is there. After 45+ second of waiting for the line to switch over to a person or recording they hang up without saying anything.

Yep, I have had several hang up calls from the same number. It IS legit.  It IS from BOA- Bank of America--  I went through my mail upon returning home for a good month-  there were two letters sent by them telling me my min payment was past due.  I called the number on the mail and resolved it. I must say, suprising to me, the customer service woman was very cool and understanding. I simply was not expecting THAT. Hats off to "Dora" , she made those letters a lot less threatening :)     But yeah, if BOA is going to call people--  they should leave a msg or at least some sort of caller ID.

These people call me at my work number and they try all kinds of tricks to get me to talk with them. Just now they said they are FIA Card Services but I had to ask them. I do not know who they are and do not want to know!

This is for Bank of America Collections, either past due or returned check department.

As other have stated, they leave no message and call repeatedly.  HOWEVER, they are legitimiately calling for Bank of America.  I have been ignoring these calls for 2 weeks and finally decided to do a web search.  Several mentioned Bank of America so I check my balance.  I have recurring payments set up, but since I just recently used it for a major purchase, my minnimum payment requirement was more than what I had scheduled for.  Therefore, I was $20 underpayment.  I WISH I WOULD HAVE CHECKED THE NUMBER SOONER!

PEOPLE! These calls are LEGIT. They are calling to tell you that you missed a payment on your credit card. It is a courtesy call!

I almost blocked this number when I saw this garbage here. Fortunately I didn't and they alerted me about my bill.

Please, put away the tinfoil hats and pay your bills!!

I get several calls from this group every week. No one ever leaves a message. If it is in fact Bank of America calling, I have no idea why. I hate BofA and refuse to do business with them. So I have NO accounts with BofA, current or past due. I suspect they are calling for the deadbeat who used to have my phone number and who appears to continue to give it as his number. I wish I knew how to make these calls stop. I'm also now getting calls for Mrs. Deadbeat from Wells Fargo Bank.
