They called an unpublished number, and the number we see is phony too. They can make you see whatever they want. This ones message said call back at 1-888-998-0914 ! And the message they left asked for my grandfather who died in 1994! ITS ALL A SCAM!

Stating my "Social" is compromised and my assets are being frozen.  I'd love to see the govt protect us from guns and terrorist, but lets start with telemarketers and scams.

They left a message saying they are from B of A. I needed to call them back at the number and there is an issue with our account. They would need my SS# and other identification. I MUST call back immediately. I have had this same scam call before, so I called THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF OUR CREDIT CARD. AGAIN spoke with A REAL person ACTUALLY FROM B of A. They checked our accounts, as we do have 2 different types with them, they found ABSOLUTELY NO Problem with either of them. They are current as they are taken out ELECTRONICALLY!! THEY TOLD ME THE EXACT SAME THING AS BEFORE, DO NOT ANSWER THOSE CALLS, DO NOT CALL THEM BACK AS IT IS A SCAM TO GET YOUR SS# AND PERSONAL INFORMATION!! ALWAYS CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CREDIT CARD, NEVER CALL A NUMBER OF A CALLER, AS THE BANK WILL NOTIFY YOU BY MAIL IF THERE IS AN ISSUE!!

As soon as I completed the healthcare.gov website application the phone calls started - several times per day.  No message.

I don’t even have a Bank of America card or bank with them, so definitely think it is a scam.

They've called five times today in 12  hours.  Left no message.

I was at work at Hardees when I received this call, with wet fingers so I could not correctly touch and  use the screen of my tablet phone.  When I called back, it was to a call center identifying itself with Bank of America.  When I looked this up later on the computer, other sites said this number is high risk for being a scam.

I received a call on my cell phone from this number.  I do not have any type of account with them, nor do I have any account with any bank where my cell phone number is the associated phone number with my accounts.  So I'm going to assume it was a spoofed call or a mistake.  I did not answer the call.

You think that was a legit call?  Wake up!  SCAMMER!!  And the do not call list stops nothing, it's a total joke!

Definitely a fraud! They ask for the full SS number.

Rec’d call from this number...started they were from BOA....wanted my card # or SSN...informed them I didn’t have a BOA card and I refused to give my SSN ....they looked up my cell # and found nothing associated with it...he asked for my last name...I said thank you and hung up.

800-536-1584 called 7/6/2020: financial scam/fraud.

Received a call from this number today at about 11:15am from a person claiming to be from Bank of America.  They referenced a cc card number's last 4 digits and said "I'm calling regarding your card XXX, for security purposes can you confirm your zip code".  Well, first of all I used to work for Bank of America and that is not how they make outgoing calls; secondly the person on the phone had an unprofessional tone and conversationally incorrect grammar.  So obviously his was someone who was trying to obtain my info to use my card number.  Watch out people!!

It is a scam! I don't have a debt with BOA, so it is a scam folks!

It IS a call on bahalf of Bank of America.  I was laid off and missed a payment.
Regardless, I don't conduct business over the phone and have blocked their number.

I DO NOT believe this number to be associated with Bank of America.
I have a CC, savings and checking account with BoA. Received a call from this number, answered, said Hello, and got the tell tale scammy 5-second silence/muffled noises response.
I hung up, googled the number, and found this confusing thread that seems at odds whether this number is legit or not.
I called BoA, was told they had NOT tried to contact me, I was NOT on any collections list, and they would only ever make contact from a completely different number. I had no flags of any kind on any of my accounts.
This call did not originate from BoA, or from anyone associated with them, in my case.
