- NidiaThey call and call all day, and when I call back they not answer the phone
- eliaI had today a phone call from 800-814-6580, around 7pm .I did call back to them from the Skype, internet phone. They couldn't see were it comes from this phone call and asked me for my phone number.I did call them a few times and recorded their arrogance. After,I sent to them ,by email, my request to remove my phone number off their list .After,I registered again on do not call site.If I will receive any more calls from them I will go after them .They will pay me back $$$$.
People do not let them harass you. Collect money from them.
Thank you every body here for a lot of information.God Bless you. - lunaThey have called me various times to my cell and dont leave voice messages- I just simply ignore the call.
But its VERY annoying because they like to call in the morning! - H PottsWho are these people and why do they keep calling and calling without ever talking to you? Why do they insist on hanging up everytime you call back
- R SI received a call from 800-814-6580. Upon answering the call I'm greeted with a request to speak to someone I've never heard of with the options, "Press 1 if you are this person, press 2 if you need more time to get this person, and press 3 if you don't know this person and we have the wrong #". I pressed 3 and was told to wait to speak to a representative. A guy immediately answered and asked for this person, (some ladies name). I told him that he had the wrong #, that I had never heard of this lady, and he asked me to give him my name and #. I asked him what # he called and he said that he didn't call any #, an automated dialer did. I told him that I wouldn't give him my personal info, including phone # and he said that if I didn't, they would continue to call me all the time. I responded back with a few expletives and told him that's what I thought about him and his company. I can't believe a company can just randomly pick a # to call and basically threaten to harass you if you don't let them have your personal info to put into their system!
- LHI got a call yesterday from this number, they did not leave a message, but they keep calling me, I don't know who they are and what they want, I don't want them calling me anymore.
- TrinaJust keeps calling, leaves no message. Very annoyed that no message is left
- AnnieFirst Call
Man: Hello?
Me: Hello?
Man: is Randall XXXXX available?
ME:no
Man: do you know him
ME: yes but he is not available but you guys have been calling my home at 8:40am every day.
Man: I'll put you on the DNC list (hung up on me)
Second Call
Woman: Hello?
ME: Can I speak to your supervisor
Woman: (hesitant) Maam they won't take your call.
Me: Well I just called a second ago and your representative hung up on me
Woman: My supervisor won't take your call but I can transfer you to them if you want to hold
ME: sure
(transfered me, it rang 4 times and was disconnected)
Third CAll
Woman: Thank you for calling did you receive a call or letter?
Me: I received a call
Woman: what is your phone number
Me: XXXXXXXX
Woman: I don't see your information. Did you ask to be put on the DNC list?
Me: No, this is the third time that I have called and your representatives keep hanging up on me. This is not good customer service.
Woman: Well, maam we are not customer service by any means. no, no, no. I will not transfer you to a supervisor so you will probably be angry with me now. I am going to end the call.
ME: what is the name of your company?
Woman: NRA Group (then hung up on me)
I then looked up the company and sent them a nasty email. This is ridiculous. If you are going to call my house everyday at 8 in the morning, when I call back I expect answers not every rep hanging up on me. And them answering the phone like I was calling them at home is not professional at all.- Caller: NRA Group

- jayPersonal Perspective
I keep getting calls from them also, they call during the day while I'm at work, they never leave a message. But when I call back, says "wireless subscriber is unavailable" or something like that. I don't understand how debt collectors can expect people to pay for something without proof. If you have my number and mailing address... or even if you don't have my mailing address "here it is" now mail me something that has some account numbers or something on it that at least looks official. Heck, we can't be giving our credit card # out to every freakin' 800 number that calls. If they can prove the debt is mine, I have no problem paying it.
Now from a business perspective
My guess is, mailing correspondence costs them money. Why should they (NRA) spend on costs of mailing or man hours trying to prove you own the debt, more overhead, when they can just get... let's say... half of the people they call to pay. So it's just a numbers game for them really. Think about it, if they purchase the debt at a reduced price, anything they get over the amount they paid is profit. Why would they eat into their profit by providing something like "proof" or pay people to sit around explaining themselves to irate callers when they can have the automated system basically run 24/7 attempting as many collections as possible. It's just business and they're in it to make money. They're NOT in the customer service industry, they're a "collection and accounts receivable management company." This is just my view from a business stand point.
On the personal side, it sort of sucks and I'd never personally probably run a company like this. Too much bad karma and negativity flowing out. I'd bet if someone in their local community or family member of a NRA employee started getting unwarranted calls, they'd get to the bottom of it. They're very detached though from the effect it has on us getting calls everyday. Understandable I guess. But it still sucks.
Apparently they're pretty active in their local community, or at least they helped out with a "food drive" in 2008 over Thanksgiving. As heard from company's web site... Steven C. Kusic, CEO of National Recovery Agency, states: "It is very important to give back and donate as much as we can in our community especially during these difficult economic times. Many people are in desperate need of help right now and NRA is committed in helping organizations throughout Pennsylvania in any way they can."
So you see there really are two sides to every story. Me, as a frustrated consumer who keeps getting calls. Which Yes, I might owe the debt, but since it is more than likely already on my credit report and I know my credit score is good, and unless they send me proof, I'm not paying anything. And then there's them, the business watching their bottom line and trying to make a profit.
What can they do?
They can keep calling me until it stops becoming economically feasible for them to do so. Which since it's an automated system they (Jennifer) probably has more time and patience than I do. Answer the phone when I call and we can either decide if I'm going to pay or not, then they can either keep calling or remove my number.
What can I do?
Pay the debt whatever it is and even if its not mine. But does that even guarantee they'll stop calling or won't just come back for me again? Since they can't or don't want to prove anything, what protection do I have? Get a new phone number. Simply not answer it.
I think I'll just try to answer it the next time and go from there. At lease I have a cell phone. ;-) - Lisavoice recording asking for Jennifer, I have received this call multiple times. I always press #3 to advise them that they have the wrong number and I amALWAYS disconnected. What company is this and how do I get them to STOP!!!!
- nogard02009 11 20 1146: ROBO CALL - they are breaking the FDCPA law ... massage left in parts finally gets around to saying it is from a bill collector /collection agency. THAT IS ILLEGAL TO allow 3rd parties to know that a call is from a collection agency / bill collectore.
PLUS it doesnt prove that NAME answered the phone when an answering machine picks it up !!!-
and plays the whole message (in cluding the FDCPA illegal announcement of the call is from National Recovery Agency a debt collector - 3rd parties can hear it).
report them !!!
also be aware of your states statue of limitations for recovery of debt ... if it has been 4, 6, 10, years since last contact- 3rd party cannot do it. judgement may be as long as 20 years. if you make a payment (or agree to) you start the clock rolling again.- Caller: national recovery agancy
- LanaI get this call from this company every once in a while looking for a Looney Dias
I tell them that they have the wrong number and I am told that they will update their system.
A few weeks later I get the same company calling me again and asking for this same Looney Dias.
I am sick of this - Jeff| 1 replyYes, NRA also calls me. Until I read these posts, I thought it was the National Rifle Association calling for a donation. Now I think it is the National Recovery Association. Anyway, they never leave a message and I never answer their calls. Maybe they will take a hint and stop calling.
NRA (the Recovery people, not the Rifle people) must have a branch office in Virginia because my caller ID sometimes shows (703) 656-9940. Other times my caller ID shows (800) 814-6580. It always shows NRA.
Here are some cautions and suggestions for you folks:
1 -- If you call anyone by using an 800/866/888 number, the receiving party will "capture" your phone number on their system since they are paying for the toll-free call. So, when you call them back toll-free, you are only perpetuating the problem. Call them back using a non toll-free number. Then, make sure you block (or turn off) your call ID on your call to them.
2 -- Call them back from a different phone. If you get calls on your home phone, call them back from a cell phone. That way they won't link the two numbers.
3 -- Buy a long-distance card from Wal-Mart (cost is only a few cents per minute) and call them back from a pay phone. The long-distance card is also valuable for other uses (for example, when you are somewhere where there is poor cell phone service, but there is a pay phone available).
4 -- Bottom line, don't give them any information either electronic (by calling a toll-free number) or verbal ("No, Jim or Mary or Dan (or whoever they ask for) is not here"). They want any information they can get so they can update their system and continue to harass you.
5 -- Personally, I think the best solution is to ignore the calls. Sure the calls are upsetting and I know some people just want to retaliate, but I just ignore the calls. Eventually, the calls will stop.
Hope this helps.- Caller: NRA
- avi| 1 replyI got a call from this number on my cell and did not answer, but called back and asked whom I was calling;
"NRA" came the response.
"What does NRA stand for" I asked.
"I'm not able to release that information sir. What's your name?"
"What do you mean you can't release that information, are you the National Rifle Association?"
"No,sir."
"Non-commitant Rectanglers of Austin?"
"Sir, if you'd just tell me your..."
"Nincompoops, [***] and [***]?"
"Sir, that's unnecessary. As I was saying, if you'd just tell me your name, I can tell you what the call was about"
"My name? Ok... It's A.F."
"(Sigh) And what does AF stand for?"
"I'm sorry, I'm unable to release that information."
Suddenly, there was a click on the line. I do hope they call back, that was quite fun. :)- Caller: NRA
- ConcernedI called the number back because they do not leave a message...I asked why they have been harrasing my phone number and then they (a female) hung up on me! That was that for now...we will see what happens next.

- NOT - Maria Monroy!!!For the past two years since I moved and was given my number by the phone company I have been called repeatedly by this company:
NRA GROUP, LLC. dba National Recovery Agency

or
P.O. Box 67015
Harrisburg, PA 17106-7015

Email: inquiry@nationalrecovery.com
Asking for a Maria Monroy. I have called them back and asked that my number removed from their calling list as I am not Maria Monroy and do not know who she is, that I am in no way related to her. I have told each and every one that calls that the phone company gave me the number and to please remove my number from their calling list for Maria Monroy. They get nasty with me, hang up, put me on hold and still Iget calls for this person. I spoke with someone in November from this agency and was assured my number would be removed. Today at 4:46PM my answering machine took another call for Maria Monroy from NRC. I called and spoke with a woman that was rude and nasty, she asked if it were my number and I told her yes, and to please remove my number from their calling list. She said they had only been calling since Oct. I repeated that I have been getting calls from their number for two years now, always the same thing... calling for a Maria Monroy. I can not help it that my answering machine takes the call which is animated for Maria Monroy, but I am not her and want theses harassing calls to STOP. I have sent an email to the FCC and hope that they will stop future calls to my house for this Maria Monroy.- Caller: UNAVAILABLE
- ShariSCalls twice, back to back, but never leaves message. I answered a couple of times, but they hung up on me. Who are they, and what do they want?! Now registered with do not call...(we'll see...)
